[Q] HTC One X Plus Stuck In Bootloop ... HELP - HTC One X

So my HTC One X Plus is stuck in bootloop. Here is what happened. I just got the phone and the first thing I did was unlock it. Everything was fine. Next I went to root it using RootBootV5. Here is where the issue came up. At the end of the root process my phone should have loaded the lock screen. Instead it just sat on the White HTC quietly brilliant. Stayed that way for hours.
So i rebooted into bootloader and tried everything I can possibly think of to fix it, Factory Reset, Fastboot Erase Cache, even folloed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190.
Nothing is working and I don't know what to do. I don't think the phone was successfully rooted so i cant simply flash a new rom. Also recovery is not working, just a black screen.
PLEASE HELP.

you should try the one x+ forum

can't say iv'e heard of rootboot v5 ? ,there are a few tools on here to root and unlock your phone.have a look download them and see if they will boot up your phone..

This issue is solved.

I had the exact same problem with Rootboot V5 and I fixed it by following this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051032
This guide will help you flash a new ROM for the One X+
My One X+ was bricked for a WHOLE day and I finally got it to work with this guide this morning.
GOOD LUCK and ask me if you have any issues. I'll be glad to help. I understand how it feels to have a 700 dollar paperweight.

RUU bricked my phone... I think?

Hi all,
I was trying to unroot my phone so I can send it back to Sprint as I'm doing an exchange and I think RUU messed up my phone.
I opened RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.1_Radio_1.39.00.04.26_release_171253.exe to unroot my phone... my phone restarted and got the HTC loading screen. The ruu application on the computer then stopped then said something like "please get the correct ROM update utility & try again".
I tried rebooting the phone but it is stuck in a reboot loop at the HTC evo splash screen.
I can access recovery via bootloader. I have tried wiping and reloading the rom that I had on there (damagecontrol 3.2.3) but it still keeps on rebooting on the HTC evo splash screen.
Again, I do have fastboot and recovery access.
Any ideas?

Good to see that you solved your problem. Anyways, with access to bootloader, your phone is almost never bricked.
I had the exact same issue... the only thing that worked for me was to restore a nand backup of a pre OTA rom... in my case a fresh 0.3 backup.
if you have the drivers installed and it errors out you just gotta re try the ruu.exe file while its on the htc screen
happened to me, and worked the second try perfectly.

[Q] Desire HD stuck on HTC logo after OTA GB update

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my Desire HD. I searched around this forum and others didn't really find me the information I'm looking for, so hopefully someone here can help me out.
Anyway, my phone downloaded the OTA Gingerbread update last night. After the download completed, it rebooted. Did the install and then showed me the red triangle with exclaimation mark. Did a battery pull after about 20 minutes of leaving it at the triangle screen, and now I get nothing but an HTC logo.
Now, I have not modified the phone at all in terms of rooting, turning it to S-OFF or anything like that. I used the base recovery to try and to a factory reset, format data/cache, and nothing works. I'm still just stuck at the white screen with HTC logo.
I know with the Galaxy S series, you can put the phone in download mode and use Odin to flash it. Is there anything similar I can do with this phone? Or any way to get another ROM to install, or even back to factory? Or something similar to Windows Phone where you use the RUU file?
I just got the phone from a friend and unlocked it, and really want to use it
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks all!
Hi.
Why don`t you try to find a RUU file and reflash with it?
But before reflash, please find will this RUU can work into your mobile operator.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

[Q] Cannot Boot Into Recovery

Hi, first off I want to say I am a total noob, so please bare with me. I have an HTC One X, Telus Variant, and I was trying to flash a ROM, and, well, something wrong happened when trying to do the recovery part. So, I went through all the correct steps, rooted the phone, everything seemed to be working properly, and then I got to the part where I had to install ClockworkModRecovery. So, as expected, I put in the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". Okay, so, I thought it was all said and done, so I went to boot into recovery. Nope. Wasn't happening. It shows the HTC Logo, and then under that: "This build is for development purposes only....". Aaaaaand I'm stuck there. The only thing I can do is boot into the bootloader, and that is it. Does anyone recognize the issue?
You probably have the 4G dual core variant. You must use TWRP and go to your forum. This is for the international one X

I had something similar when I booted up a jelly bean ROM a while back with my bootloader RE-locked. If this is the case with your phone just reflash the unlock token and reflash your recovery. If it is as BaneOfRadiohead says you should be more careful with what you flash, Flasing stuff that is not meant for your device can be quite harmful.

[Q] Htc wildfire rooting issue

Ok so guys i had just rooted my htc wildfire s (or atleast thought i rooted it ) and was trying to install a cyanogen mod ROM , it would not install ,if it would install it would be stuck at the htc logo screen , now i thought this would be the fault of recovery so i decided to install another recovery and flash that with cmd (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) but then when i booted in recovery it would show me the pink recovery, i got a little scared and flashed another recovery and now the recovery will not even boot . it will just go on htc logo and black screen , i tried many different recoveries but no avail , it is in s-on right now , please forgive me if this sounds noobish i really am a noob at this .please provide me with a solution and tell me if it is bricked and if i can repair it by taking it to a software shop and asking them to do it for me (Just advise me if i can come back from this)
Flash the first recovery, which actually worked, and if it installs, wipe everything and flash a basic CM7 rom. It'll work. It's just soft bricked don't worry.

actually i gave it to a software store , he said he couldn't do it as the files were not to be found ... i think it might have been bricked but seeing as i can access h-boot only and when i turn on the phone it only stays on the htc logo screen and does not proceed can you call this bricked . ? i tried the first recovery as you mentioned but it was no use ... i tried relocking and unlocking bootloader again but it seems as if that was unnecessary as nothing different happened .. im still waiting for an answer
This is really very weird.

Start from square one, unlock the bootloader, flash the recovery, if one doesn't install, try another, at least one will surely work, and then flash a new rom.
All the best.
Remember, android can never be bricked, there is always a way out.

bricked nexus 5x out of nowhere

hi everyone
after an afternoon of googling I decided I need more help
so this is what happened (at that moment I was running on PureNexus and TWRP:
at some point I noticed that my phone was off, I tried to reboot it, it showed the google logo for a moment, but then the screen went black.
after a while I tried to reboot again, with the same effect...and again
so I decided, hm maybe a factory reset helps and tried to boot into TWRP. tried to boot into recovery, but with the same result as before: google logo appears then screen turns black
next I booted into bootloader and flashed TWRP through adb. but this didnt help either. still everything just as before.
at that point I got a little nervous. then I deleted cache and userdata through fastboot, still nothing.
after some googling I stumbled over a thread which suggested to use the Nexus Root Toolkit for reflashing Stock.
I followed all the instructions in NRT and according to the log (and fastboot), all the images were successfully flashed, but when I booted the screen turned black after the google logo again.
since I was able to boot into bootloader, I decided to lock and unlock the bootloader (at that point I was just trying to see some effect), but nothing worked
any suggestions on what else I could try?
thanks! cheers

If this is not the dreaded bootloop, unlock the bootloader and flash factory image manually.
That should help.

thanks, I was afraid it might be....
I flashed the factory image first with the sh_all option and then manually. both methods didnt work and I couldnt get past the google logo.
Right now Im not even able to boot into the bootloader.
Im assuming theres nothing else the try besides contacting LG support?
Maybe its time to say goodbye to a good friend
