GOOGLE NOW fully working for stock rooted ics

hello guys i root my phone and i have the stock ics for galaxy s3 t-mobile and i give a try to the jelly bean feature GOOGLE NOW fully working on ICS

Its like saying "remind me"....If you tell GN "Please tell me" anything it will set an alarm...just like "remind me".

Okay I have read instructions for our devices and I'm kind of confused. Do we need to just download the. Apk file or the zip or both? Do we flash the zip in recovery and that's it? I read the instructions and I'm sorry if I'm a little slow but it just wasn't all that clear to me.

I used the M6 file from this post on that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29756226&postcount=2856 It's working great so far. The only issue I've found is that you can't exit using the back button. You need to press the home button to exit.
Also, even though the instructions say its for CWM, it's not. You can flash it using any recovery.
Download the M6 file, copy it to your SD card, reboot into recovery and flash it, then reboot and poof you're done.

You just need to flash the zip in recovery and it'll work.

Just flash the new version.

Just flashed on FreeGSM R5, works flawless.

Me too, working perfect!!

Okay how do I remove this if I don't like it? It's pretty cool but seems so finicky to me.

Turned my double press home button to voice dial and not a voice anymore, I didn't like it. Flashed my TWRP back up and I'm normal again. Good luck!

CWM problem

Hello,
My problem is that I can't get into Clockworkmod by ANY way, tried many tutorials, few trials with odin but all the time i get into base android recovery. Any solutions ? ( T-mobile )

Delete/rename
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/install-recovery.sh
Reinstall cwm or twrp.

Thanks for replying. I also would be very thankful if you could tell me step by step what to do or at least thereabout ? I was always following tutorials to root / install cwm on my phone however I had never problem like this before.

There's not really much to explain. Use a root capable browser to browse to and delete the files I listed.
Then using rom or goo manager you can easily reinstall recovery and reboot recovery.

So i downloaded root explorer, found recovery-from-boot.p then deleting it, shows that it has been deleted, but nothing really happens. Also the second file you told me to remove (install-recovery) isn't here I found this topic

did the same but this time when i'm tryin to get into recovery, holdin home+power+volumeup there is weird red exclamation mark or something like this in the corner of galaxy s logo, and when holding those buttons there is appearing screen exactly like in anex, then vanishing for like three seconds, and appearing again ( and same thing again and agian ). When I realease the buttons it redirects me to home screen, but when i'm trying again to load recovery it sends me to base android recovery again. I have seen that half of people trying to get CWM are having the same problem.

What phone is ^^^???

Dude! That an i9300? That's the international gs3, NOT tmobiles sgh-t999!
Id say you're lucky you haven't bricked! You need to go to the correct forum, and probably odin the correct stock fw.
Ask them first though!

Good eye. I missed that. Who knows, even if he was just using another pic for example purposes, we haven't heard back from him. Between the pic, the op and we havent heard from him again it makes me think he did have the i9300 anyway. Who knows.

I think you're right, I've only seen one post from a user who got it to work and he/she was using the note2 launcher (an option in Dragon rom from memory I think)

just install like normal apk file ?

not working.. it open and then crash after few seconds..

Its working on mine in landscape mode.
But if its still not working for people then i will remove the link.

which rom are you using? i haven't checked landscape,let me check in a sec:laugh:
edit: not working,it remain portrait and unable to launch in landscape..

I have everything set up but it says it cant create loop device. Is it not working because of the quad core rather than dual core?
Has anyone else tried or succeeded? I used complete linux install from play store for files

Possibly the most cryptic post I've ever seen. If you want help, you need to ask a question that makes sense to someone other than you. What are you trying to do?

Seems clear to me. The man is trying to run Ubuntu on his note 2 and cant get it to work. Perfectly good question.

Folks have gotten it to work on the Galaxy Note 2 N7100 (which is quad core). According to debranardis you need to make the following change
"for the Galaxy Note 2 n7100 the mount point of the external microSD card is
/storage/extSdCard
The booting script as present doesn't mount it; editing the script did the trick."
See if you can do something similar on the T mobile version. You also might consider posting in the following thread in regards to ubuntu for additional help.

Randomly started working. First it gave me a corrupted file. Re-unzipped the img and md5 and woeked flawlessly. Tjamks everyone
Edit: may have been a problem with busybox. When I reinstalled it it worked.

Hi I have a funny problem on my note 2 and nexus 7 which only started today and effects both.if I download a apk to install it won't let me use the install button , nothing happens. I have made sure I have allowed the external sources. It had always worked before

Could it be because you're internal memory is full? Or you could also try wiping davlik cache.

Hi it happened with the Nova launcher update so i tried 2 other apps apk and the same thing,really weird that it is on both devices

Just installed the latest flash player apk and no issues here. Stock and not rooted.

This is really weird i just tried an old apk that i have used before and i still cant use the install button,as it happens on both devices im guessing it must have been a app update i did on both very strange

If you are using screen filter or same application, then close it. I have read such application can cause this type of issue
