How do I change the Currency-display in Google Play on the Note 2? I've traveled abroad so many times, that the last time I did, with my old phone, the currency is not appearing in US Dollars on my Note 2. I can't seem to find the fix on Google. Please let me know, thanks in advance.
anyone? :crying:
Google Play is not showing prices in US Dollars? How to fix this? :crying:
You have to root your Note II and Download Market Unlocker which will change the currency and country on Google Play. When you open Market Unlocker choose the country you want and it will use the country's currency automatically.

Honestly, not that inclined to root my device at the moment, but if and when I do, I will definitely consider your method. Thanks.

Sure thing, rooting is really easy. Have you tried a Factory Reset.

Hi all.
I would like to know how to get refund from Windows Phone Marketplace?
I've found some old instructions, but they are not working anymore and I can't find it anywhere on their site.
Please help...
I don't think it's possible. Before buying app, you should saw the warning: something like "That purchase is non-refundable and can not ... blah-blah-blah". By pressing "Buy" button you've agreed with these terms & conditions.

See the Terms of use:
6.9. Refund Policies.
All sales are final and nonrefundable unless otherwise provided by law or by a particular Service offer.
Provided you have extenuating circumstances, a refund is very possible. You'll need to chat with a representative:
https://support.live.com/default.aspx?productkey=oepwp7cf&brand=oepwp7&mkt=en-ww&
For example... I downloaded Bullet Asylum about an hour before it became available in the Marketplace on my phone. I found it on the Marketplace via my web browser and made the purchase, cuz I was so excited to play the game. A week later, I was fiddling around with my phone and looked up BA in the Marketplace. I had the option to buy it, but it wanted to charge my account again. From the game that was already on my phone, it wasn't showing as updatable AND I wasn't able to send a reinstall link from the website. This was forcing me to purchase the game a 2nd time if I wanted to reinstall it... all due to a small glitch.
So, I got on with a rep via chat, explained everything and had the email purchase confirmations to prove it. Rep had to call me to verify my account/identity. Great conversation, understood the problem, and provided a refund.
So... yes... if the circumstances are right, and a refund is warranted, then it can be obtained. Chat support has been very helpful both times I've used them.
Just curious: how much you evaluate your time? Hmm, spending so much time for $0.99 or even $2.99 is too expensive for me, for example

sirajgoku is being facetious.
Like I said... a refund is possible, but pretty much only if MSFT made an error.
Yes a refund is possible! I was refunded already because I was charged twice by the same app I contacted Zune support and they emailed me in my language Portuguese and saw the problem and refunded me! I was refunded too once because I bought one app and now it's not anymore on marketplace its name is perfectscan i reseted my phone and wanted to install the app and couldn't because the app wasn't available anymore.

So the refunds are only available for errors, not for those who find out that the app doesn't work correctly and just want money back.

Too bad....it doesn't work like that....
They won't refund you for such a reason...
I purchased a game on my phone, got double billed (billed twice for the same game).
I just fired up a "Zune marketplace Chat support session". Explained what happened, refunded immediately!

No unfortunately not. Because, most apps and games come with trial mode. So you could try before you buy. However, for apps that don't offer trials modes, if the reviews and screenshots don't justify value of it, then I don't buy it.

I tried looking up the answer to my question all over the place but I can't seem to find the answer. PS Store in US for the Xperia Play ? It it available? If it isn't, is there a way to get it to work? Thanks.
The PS Store is not officially available in NA. However, I've read some people downloaded the UK .apk and used Euro PSN accounts to log in.
However, I don't know whether they were able to buy any content.
Sony, in its infinite wisdom, decided they dont want to take money from americans, you know because we suck?!?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that just sucks. Looks like I'll have to get my workaround...
This has probably been asked before, but I failed to find a definite answer. My apologies in advance if this is indeed the case.
I'm wondering if any Canadian user has successfully at least obtain the redeem code from Samsung upon registering their Tab Pros? I've tried logging into my Samsung account on Galaxy Apps, registering on Samsung US site with a Gmail address but to no avail. Didn't even receive a "Thank you for registering your Samsung device" confirmation as someone stated.
This has led the paranoid me to suspect that the tab I've got is a resealed open box, though I do not see any obvious evidence except that the charger was not in place and the cover for the microSD slot was not perfectly closed when I opened the package. (EDIT: speaking of the charger and slot cover, has one of these happened to anyone?)
Any reply will be really appreciated!
Canadians don't get the Google Play $25 credit.

Thanks for the reply dodo99x. Just would like to clarify, we don't even receive the redeem code, is that correct? The reason I'm asking this is because I do know that the code cannot be redeemed on a google account outside US if we somehow obtain the code. But do we even get any email confirmation from Samsung?
Nope nothing from Samsung at all. I confirmed this going though the Samsung rep on their Facebook page. We can download anything in Samsung Perks section of the Samsung App store, and we get the extra 50gb storage on Dropbox.

Thank you for confirming it, dodo! Really appreciate it! :good:
I'd been worrying about it being a resealed open box (bought it at Staples) after finding those little pieces of "evidence". This should help put my OCD mind at ease. :silly:
EDIT: yeah i did get the extra 50gb on dropbox.
Hey,
Today I got a new G3 in China. Google isn't really a thing here and no devices ship with any Google products installed. I'm a big android and google fan so I'd love to get it up and running.
I've tried to simply install the google play and google play services APKs and while the install seems to work the app crashes upon use. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
I'm aware that I might be required to root the device, I've never done anything like that before and I'm not really sure how to go about doing that.
EDIT: After checking the LG G3 Compatibility Matrix spreadsheet posted in the FAQ above it appears my version of the phone (D85710c) can't be rooted. Are there any other options?
Not to my knowledge if you cant root your model. Just out of curiosity have you tried the root methods for the other models because i doubt many people have this model that are on these forums at least
EDIT: googled the model number and root at the end and got loads of chinese forums which i cant read, so id have a look around google

I haven't tried any form of rooting yet, I've seen on here it's possible to "downgrade" to a 10a version then flash the hong kong version on. I've no idea how to do that and haven't found a good guide.

There are ways around it. But im not going to discuss modded APKs to get around paying for apps. Thats not the intention of this site or what it stands for. Ya got lucky in the past but if you want the game that bad.. pay the guy who spent time making it what hes requesting :\

I understand this trouble you are having may be a challenge to your intellectual abilities .......... But..........
Let me help clear up the confusion..............
..........Downloading apps that someone else paid for, whether you extracted the APK or whatever other method you might have done....... that is Theft .........plain and simple.......
Stealing is bad ........mmmkay? Posting a Question "who can help continue to steal" in XDA is against the Rules of XDA ...........is not very smart and ........not allowed
Buy the app if you like that app .......... most apps these days will disable an app that you stole as security is much improved now.
