Check post #2 for modifications and tweaks!
Turns xda-developers.com dark. Although the user style is applied to all XDA pages (portal, forums, wiki) and suits them all, it's fully optimized for the forums.
Make sure you're using the "XDA 2013 Beta" forum theme (you can check/change your theme in the Forum's footer). Also compatible with "XDA 2013 Beta - 1024" with minor bugs (nav bar icons appearing when they shouldn't).
Non firefox users: Some things aren't correctly applied for Chrome/Other browsers. These include:
Some borders are much darker than what they should be.
This theme is mainly tested on Firefox. Minimal testing is done on Chrome, to ensure nothing breaks.

You'll need Stylish (Stylish for Firefox | Stylish for Chrome | Stylish for Opera | Stylish for Safari) or a similar add-on to apply the userstyle.
FAQ:
Q: Is all of XDA themed?
A: That's the goal, but I might have missed something.
Q: I found a part that isn't themed!
A: Let me know, post a link to the page and I'll fix it.
Q: Are the ads removed?
A: No. Ads are themed, tho, where possible. The screenshots show no ads because of my addons.
Q: How can I be notified of updates?
A: Stylish should automatically check & download updates (unless you have that option turned off). Otherwise I'll post in this thread whenever I update, so you can also subscribe if you want.
Q: Can I check the source code?
A: It's available on userstyles.org, just click the "Show Code" button.
Q: Are there any risks?
A: Risks are explained here, and you can check the code to make sure it's clean.
Q: Can I change the colors? I like orange/brown/poo/red/violet/pink/rainbows more!
A: Yes, use the customizable version.

Tweaks/Modifications:
Index:
General notes;
Notes for non Firefox users;
Modifications:
Enable rounded corners;
Disable Disqus element theming;
Keyboard accessibility additions; *
Custom username colors; *
Toggle signatures tweak (all signatures are replaced with a "Toggle Signature" text; you can click it to show/hide the signature); *
Enable/Disable Roboto font. *
* Universal tweaks - you can use them alone, without the whole theme. See the General Notes below for more information
General Notes:
To comment a line, wrap it in "/* */", for example:
Code:
body{color:#f5f5f5!important;}
Would become:
Code:
[COLOR="Green"]/*[/COLOR]body{color:#f5f5f5!important;}[COLOR="Green"]*/[/COLOR]
Similarly, you can comment a paragraph out:
Code:
[COLOR="Green"]/*[/COLOR] All of this...
body{color:#f5f5f5!important;}
a{color:#33b5e5!important;}
...is commented out [COLOR="Green"]*/[/COLOR]
I might refer to an at-rule block in the instructions.
At-rules starts with a '@', followed by an identifier.
A block starts with a { and ends with a matching }.
So an at-rule block would look like this:
Code:
[COLOR="Violet"]@[/COLOR][COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]rule[/COLOR] [COLOR="Red"]{[/COLOR]
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]<content>[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Red"]}[/COLOR]
You'll need to reapply these modifications after every update. That being said, it shouldn't take longer than a minute for it all.
Some modifications/tweaks can be used without the whole theme (actually, all of them can - but these will not touch your default colors/layout). To use them as standalone userstyles, simply create a new userstyle in Stylish, give it a title, and paste the code after removing any "..." from it (used to denote extra content). Non Firefox users, also see the notes below.
Notes For Non Firefox Users:
Stylish for your browser may strip comments out. That means line numbers will not be correct anymore.
That being said, examples are always provided so you should be able to just search for the portion you're looking for.
Stylish does not support @-moz-document rules. This means you'll need to remove the lines in red from your pasted code:
Code:
[COLOR="Red"]@-moz-document domain("xda-developers.com") {[/COLOR]
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Red"]}[/COLOR]
After doing that, add "xda-developers.com" to the domains list, usually accessed using a button just above the script's area.

This will restore corners to their default state. Prior versions of Dark XDA also rounded some additional corners. If you want these back, continue to the next step. If not, you're done!

}
Disable Disqus elements theming:
You might want to do this if it's applying to other websites you visit.
Simply comment this part, at the very end of the userstyle:
Code:
@-moz-document domain("disqus.com") {
body.dark .textarea-wrapper .textarea, body.dark .input-wrapper input{background-color:#333!important;color:#f5f5f5!important;}
.textarea-wrapper{background:#555!important;box-shadow:0px 0px 0px 2px #555 inset!important;}
.postbox .post-actions {background-color:transparent!important;}
.btn{background-color:transparent!important; box-shadow:none!important;}
.btn:hover{color:#09c!important;}
.dropdown-menu{background-color:#333!important;}
.dropdown-menu a{color:#f5f5f5!important;}
.alert {background-color:#333!important;}
}
The result would look like this:
Code:
[COLOR="Green"]/*[/COLOR]
@-moz-document domain("disqus.com") {
body.dark .textarea-wrapper .textarea, body.dark .input-wrapper input{background-color:#333!important;color:#f5f5f5!important;}
.textarea-wrapper{background:#555!important;box-shadow:0px 0px 0px 2px #555 inset!important;}
.postbox .post-actions {background-color:transparent!important;}
.btn{background-color:transparent!important; box-shadow:none!important;}
.btn:hover{color:#09c!important;}
.dropdown-menu{background-color:#333!important;}
.dropdown-menu a{color:#f5f5f5!important;}
.alert {background-color:#333!important;}
}
[COLOR="Green"]*/[/COLOR]
Keyboard accessibility additions: *
To have a visual indicator of the currently focus item, add this around the beginning of the userstyle (e.g. just after line #15):
Code:
:focus{outline:1px dotted #fff!important;background-color:#33b5e5!important;color:#fff!important;overflow:hidden!important;}
Final result:
Code:
@-moz-document domain("xda-developers.com") {
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Green"]:focus{outline:1px dotted #fff!important;background-color:#33b5e5!important;color:#fff!important;overflow:hidden!important;}[/COLOR]
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
}
Custom username colors: *
If you don't like the current username colors, you can easily change them. Look for this part in the userstyle:
Code:
@-moz-document domain("xda-developers.com") {
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
/* Username colors */
.posterName{color:[COLOR="Green"]#fff[/COLOR]!important;}
span[style*='color: blue']{color:[COLOR="Green"]#0df[/COLOR]!important;font-weight:bold!important;}
span[style*='color: indigo']{color:[COLOR="Green"]#93c[/COLOR]!important;}
span[style*='color: darkred']{color:[COLOR="Green"]#c00[/COLOR]!important;}
span[style*='color: red']{color:[COLOR="Green"]#f44[/COLOR]!important;}
span[style*="color: DarkOrange;"]{color:[COLOR="Green"]#f80[/COLOR]!important;font-weight:normal!important;}
span[style*="color: green;"]{color:[COLOR="Green"]#690[/COLOR]!important;}
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
}
Modify it to fit your needs. Simply change the hex color codes to whatever you like. You can use the #RGB or #RRGGBB notation. To find and preview colors, you can use a website like color-hex.com.
Toggle Signature addition: *
This tweak will collapse all signatures, and show a simple "Toggle Signature" text instead. You can then press the signature area to show/hide the signature. This allows you to view a user's signature whenever you want, without taking all your screen's space.
Simply add this anywhere in the main block (e.g. line #23):
Code:
/* Toggle Signature */
.postsig{height:12px!important;overflow:hidden!important;}
.postsig:before{display:block!important;content:"Toggle Signature"!important;text-align:right!important;width:100%!important;}
.postsig:active:before{display:none!important;}
.postsig:active{height:auto!important;display:block!important;}
Final result:
Code:
@-moz-document domain("xda-developers.com") {
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
/* Toggle Signature */
.postsig{height:12px!important;overflow:hidden!important;}
.postsig:before{display:block!important;content:"Toggle Signature"!important;text-align:right!important;width:100%!important;}
.postsig:active:before{display:none!important;}
.postsig:active{height:auto!important;display:block!important;}
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
}
Disable Roboto font: *
Newer versions of this theme will try to use the Roboto font. To disable this, comment these lines out (line #5 -> #9):
Code:
[COLOR="Green"]/*[/COLOR]
@font-face{font-family:'Roboto';font-style:normal;font-weight:100;src:local('Roboto Thin'),local('Roboto-Thin'),url(http://themes.googleusercontent.com/static/fonts/roboto/v8/vzIUHo9z-oJ4WgkpPOtg1_esZW2xOQ-xsNqO47m55DA.woff) format('woff');}

[COLOR="Green"]*/[/COLOR]
Also comment line #19 out:
Code:
[COLOR="Green"]/*[/COLOR]body,p,div,textarea{font-family:'Roboto'!important;}[COLOR="Green"]*/[/COLOR]
To ENABLE Roboto fonts, simply uncomment/add them back:
Code:
@-moz-document domain("xda-developers.com") {
[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]...[/COLOR]
@font-face{font-family:'Roboto';font-style:normal;font-weight:100;src:local('Roboto Thin'),local('Roboto-Thin'),url(http://themes.googleusercontent.com/static/fonts/roboto/v8/vzIUHo9z-oJ4WgkpPOtg1_esZW2xOQ-xsNqO47m55DA.woff) format('woff');}

It depends on the monitor. LCD displays use slightly more power for black when compared to white (newer LCDs, however, change the backlight intensity depending on the image, so black might be better in that case), but I personally prefer darker webpages.
I've updated the userstyle; the link is still the same. I've also started to comment the code.
Some of the changes:
Moderator names should be lighter;
Unread/Read threads should be clearly distinguishable now;
Some areas that still had light text on light backgrounds should be fixed;
Other minor changes.
Shouldn't it be orange with black instead of blue/cyan? I like how Dark thrme in XDA app looks and thr forum would looks AMAZING with same theme

I'm keeping it black/cyan for now. The final release should have customizable colors, so you'll be able to pick your own.
Meanwhile, you can change the hex codes (#09c, #07a, #023, I might have used some others but these are the most used) and replace them with orange-ish values.
Just copy/paste the userstyle in a text editor (e.g. Notepad, Notepad++), press CTRL+H (might vary depending on the editor; you want the "Search & Replace" feature), put #09c, #07a or #023 in the "Search for:" field and an orange color hex code in the "Replace by:" field. You can use this website to pick and preview hex colors.
Love it! But I would love it more, if it would be orange .

New version. Also, I've uploaded it to userstyles.org. This should make installation much easier and stop making the style global for non Firefox users.
Complete overhaul, updated OP:
09-04-2013:
Portal/Wiki are now themed as well.
Other minor tweaks.
Please note that:
Images aren't replaced yet (which means that some buttons are still orange-ish).
It'll be updated shortly (that is, as soon as I can) to address the above issue. Thanks for reporting any other problems
04-04-2013:
Complete overhaul:
Lighter colors are now used instead of pure black. Should be much more pleasant.
The layout in general is now almost similar to the original XDA, with different colors (e.g. no more missing borders).
Some small changes are still made compared to the original XDA layout to better suit the different colors.

You have to have recovery installed, and be on a Deodexed ROM. These have been tested and verified on Clark44's FreeGS3 JB ROM, and freeza's stock Deodexed LJ7, but nothing else at this point. Thanks!

Shouldn't really matter since it will delete the 3 core files. But should at least be LJA. Thanks!!
So far so good...heading over to get the updater. Is there anything I should check in particular first?

As long as the UI, toggles, and quickpanel function.. you should be good! That was the main thing we were wanting to test..
Just FYI.. I'm getting ready to drop v1.3.2, which adds a bunch more content, streamlines the installer a bit more, and anti-aliased a bunch of wifi icons and toggles.

I'm back...just did a custom theme, damn this is SICK! I cannot compliment you enough, so look out for a donation!!!
REMINDER: YOU MUST INSTALL THE ZIP FROM THE OP PRIOR TO ANYTHING ELSE!
But, sounds like the installer is working so far!... THANKS zonly1 for being the brave soul to test!!
That being said, I'll drop you all a preview.... v1.3.2 is out for testing! Grab it here: AndroidFileHost
OP will be updated soon.. but still need more testers!!
Changes Include:
Reworked to installer script to make it a little quicker to get where you are going
Added 16 more toggles: Glow now in all colors, Anakonda and Wicked Pink by dazednconfused, 'Stock' by Echo113, and a bunch more!
Reworked the image quality of 60% of the toggles, all of the misc, data, and wifi icons.
Added volume icons to match slider color (only when customizing slider, not with OMG themes yet. But OMG installs white for default)
Added 5 more dialers, plus all of the matching landscape dialers. Digits in landscape however remain defaulted.
Added purple digits as an option
Added 'Naddict's Tribute' theme in Custom Themes section (Purple & Green)
And more that I can't think of...
Also for anyone interested, Morphologist MontyPyFly has created a thread with screenshots of everything contained in v1.3.1.
Check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072943
Very happy to have contributed in a small way to your efforts! I feel like a kid in a candy shop with this! Naddict's Tribute is the bomb!

Sent from my Wicked fast SGS3!
I'm wanting to flash this on my Darthstalker v7 for T-mobile, T999 JLA 4.1.1.
Either the instructions are a little vague? or I'm a little brain dead (probably the second one but that's another thread) So as a noob, here's what I understand. After moving the files to my phone, I boot in to TWRP recovery, then I flash the .zip from the 1st page (aosp_systemui_tmo_v1.zip) and then I flash the Morphology v1.3.2.zip from the 2nd page using the same TWRP ???? and then what? somewhere it asks me how and what I want to tweak? which icons I want? etc...? Or am I completely missing the point?
Dear god I'm overwhelmed with the choices
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
DL now will test tomorrow with full battery and fresh wicked v5 install!!!

Works great. Got stock during aroma install a few times when I tried to go back and needed to reboot, but other than that, everything works as planned. Now I just need to figure out what I like.

The 'Back' lock is a known bug but Aroma related. Moving through a bit slower and allowing the script to fully load before hitting back seems to remedy the issue.
Glad you all are enjoying it so far!
This is beyond amazing! Having themed myself quite a bit, I can't imagine the number of hours that went into creating this. Thanks guys!
One question: Would it be a ton of work to incorporate this onto the i747M Firmware (Canadian Variants Version)? The firmwares are almost identical with some AT&T modifications changing icons and settings. I can provide deodexed versions of any framework or apk files you would need. I would also be happy to assist with any XML/Smali edits, compiling & decompiling, and testing, if that would help?
Let me know and thanks again!
EDIT: I took a look at your zip files and it seems all one would need is an i747M stock SystemUI.apk with 15 toggles installed as a base? If that is the case, I have already have one for the Canadian Version here: REMOVED Feel free to post in the OP if you wish.
SECOND EDIT: I have removed the link above as status bar disappeared and systemUI crashed when using morphology with I747M 15 toggle. Will replace if fixed.
This is amazing! I dont need aosp anymore.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Like Robert just said this is amazing!! Bigtime game changer here. Can't wait to start digging in and see what options I like.
Almost feel like I'm cheating using this cause I've been putting off learning how to theme on my own. LOL
Really really awesome guys thank u so much!

The built xml in Morphology will typically crash other SystemUIs. I will gladly help to get this going on the i747M. Were you using the Morphology UI with the 747M lidroid? Or Morphology theme installer with the stock 747M UI when it FC'd?

Great work Rompnit and others.. this looks great.. going to wait till get home so I can actually click link and see the pics and what it offers.. should be fun..
one question I have, (i think the answer is no, but just confirming) will this interfere in anyway with the wallpapers? nothing in this appears to mess with that, but the rom I am using has a custom one that I am loving right now, jsut hate to lose it.. (and i know I can back it up in TiBu and such) just curious is all.. but looks like i could have some fun with this
EDIT...So lied, have a 2nd one... ok so i know OP says need UCDLK3 based.. the 2 roms i go back and forth on are LoserRom and Darthstalker. Currently i am on the darthstalker rom testing it.. and it is TM based on the UVDLJA ... would i just need to follow the stuff on the above link you posted for the other guy? or am I better off doing this with LoserRom since its on the LK3 one? both are deodexed.. and unfortunately not the best at this.. mainly wondering best route, since I do tend to flash a lot.. and sometimes (as these 2 differ) they are based off different ones.. my guess is that nothing in this effects the ROM other than the look? sorry for the idiocy of this., jsut has me wondering since I would like to try it, my guess is that I would have to DL both (LK3 and the LJA one) and when flash to new rom, reflash the required mod then use the morf flash and theme again?
I guess those of us with the canadian version are out of luck?

I'll have to try again when I get home, I could not get Wifi & data with the MK3 modem. The install went fine, booted and started set up, but could not finish without WiFi and data. I'll have MOAR time this evening. :good:

Will fix link later after work sorry guys
Hey Winga... so I was able to get this re-installed last night using the NC2 modem and setting up everything on the stock kernel, I installed a few apps and all the basics work fine, phone calls, messaging, web browsing minor mods and what not, but when I tried to access some of the Misc. Mods, Xposed, per app settings and other misc settings I kept getting FC. Not sure what is causing this. For the most part it seems to be very responsive and clean. Maybe I'm confused about the modems and kernels. I know it mentioned in the OP that MK3 modem was required, but when I tried to use it, I could not get any WiFi and data to work. Sorry to sound like a NOOB...LOL I have only had this device for a couple weeks since I moved from Sprint to TMO. I previously had the HTC EVO 4G LTE so I'm still trying to learn some of the differences. I appreciate the teams work on this ROM though. There are a lot of features i was barely able to explore.
