[Q] able to change kernel in cm9 b2

Hi
I've been using the custom ROM CM9 now I have to get updated CM9 beta2 but I would have my galaxy faster. can I install this kernel on it? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1855557 I would put out the V1 because apparently the most stable?
I then just wiping the cache? and then flash?

You could try the v3 it's stable for me. Wipe cache and dalvik then flash kernel

v3??please can you define..what is that all about..im also in cm9 b2..can you post a link..is this more usable than preinstalled kernel in cm9 b2??thanks

For me it is better using the forvivo v3 stock version than cm9 stock kernel

Nope. If you wipe data then your apps will be gone. Wiping cache and dalvik is just clearing your cache

You could try the v1 kernel or the v3 stock kernel from forvivo

Yes, if you looking for balance between performance and battery life, use the smartassV2 + sio (fyi: install nofrills from playstore to adjust the i/o scheduler)

If you flash the forvivo's kernel yes it is the standart scheduler. Because it was set like that. If i'm not wrong. In arco's the standart is bfq. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Arco's CM9 does not have a baseband component; it uses the baseband already there in your phone.

[Q] Flashing Stock Recovery

Im on clockworkmod recovery by arco
if i wanna flash back to stock recovery. is it safe to do so? with odin or with terminal emulator? which way would be better? thanks

I personally prefer using Terminal to Odin.

[Q] Recovery mode rebooting

Hi,
I had installed a custom rom today
[ROM][4.1.2]ChromeDroid - JB | ☢Battery ☢Performance ☢Hard Multi-Tasking ☢
after installing i had updated gapps
but at present i dont have google play installed and the recovery mod is rebooting by itself.
please let me know a solution for this

Where did you get this ROM? Are you sure it's built for the W?

For me it work well..
try it again bro and do flash it without changing anything before to the rom, e.g.UI , Interface..
edit : and this mod is based slimbean 3.1.0. 20130220
