I have tried posting this question multiple times in the Xylon thread but I have never gotten a response.
Does anyone know how to stop Bluetooth from crashing the System UI?
I am not using anything but Xylon, Photogestures, and Gapps cleaned flashed.
My Configuration:
Alpha Status and Navigation Bars
Circle Mod Battery
6 Status Bar Quick Toggles (NFC, Airplane, Wifi Tether, Auto Rotate, Torch, and LTE)
Alarm Status Bar Icon Disabled
Added Small Day of the Week to Status Bar Clock
Added Menu Button to Navigation Bar between Home and Recent Apps.
Pattern Unlock Screen
Renamed Bluetooth device to "Galaxy Nexus"
Renamed Wifi Tether to "Galaxy Nexus"
Once all these settings are set and I restart my phone the System UI will crash 100% of the time when I toggle Bluetooth on or off via the widget or through the settings.
I'm not sure how to fix your issue. I too have experienced this issue of no one acknowledging my issue. I even listed the bug on their g+ page twice and on the thread 3 times. Best of luck mate!

I've tried this on both Xylon 17 and Xenon 3.
Basically, I add any wifi toggle widget to my home screen, and every time I try to use it, it force closes. Reading the error report shows that a SecurityException is being thrown.
The only way I can toggle wifi is through the menu or through the built in notification bar toggles.
Other toggles (bluetooth, data, silent/vibrate) work fine, it's just that on the newer versions of Android (my tablet with Xenon 2 running 4.1.2 doesn't have this problem) seem to break wifi toggles.
A google search reveals only a couple of other people have had this problem, but no solution was found (or posted).
Thoughts?
A few days ago I unrooted my phone in order to be able to update to 4.2.2 because it would not let me while I was rooted. After i unrooted i pulled down my notification bar to find that there were only two toggles in the bar. Blocking Mode and Airplane Mode. So I went into the settings menu to see if the others were just not selected to display and once i select notification toggles it force closes the settings app. so i updated to 4.4.2 because i assumed it would fix the problem but it did not. it still only has those two toggles, the only difference is now i can go into the toggle settings without it force closing. but in the settings menu it only shows those two toggles as options. how can i get my toggles back because these are a major part of my phone usage
Hello! Just got the unlock version a couple days ago and I am using lightning launcher; it is awesome. My issue is with call and text notifications, how do I make the fire phone display that I have a new call/text or missed a call on the status bar. This is really frustrating, hope someone can help me.
I don't think this is possible without replacing the systemui file. The only other option would be to use omega status bar, or super status bar, which are basically status bar overlays.
So I did install omega status bar but it still wont show call or text notifications in the status bar. Can you tell me how to set it up? Even the app icon itself is not even showing that I have recieved a call or text.
I think you will benefit from reading the tips and tricks thread that's created. Member jondecker76 and myself branch out on a lot of helpful tips to use this as a daily device.

Problem - Notifications - The notification bar doesn't keep a log of icons of notifications. For example, if I get a KIK message it drops down, previews it, and vanished. Unless I open up the notification panel there is nothing to remind you of this. This bothers me as I often don't review them straight away and forget it even happened.
Solution- Notifications - I've toggled all the options regarding notifications in the settings. My original complaint still exists. This was a HUGE set back for me with this device. Luckily, with a lot of trial and error, I found an app that works well for me. It's call NotifierPro Free. I configured it so a bar drops down and stays under the status bar. I also configured it so these notifications remain until I swipe them away. This has been a HUGE help in allowing me to adapt to this device.

Running into the same issue, have you found a work around? I know this thread is old, hopefully the original poster will reply or someone else.
I just upgraded from the OPO to the OP3 and pretty much set up both devices exactly the same (in terms of apps/widgets etc). BOTH were stock (nothing done to either bootloaders). OPO was of course running the latest CM version and my OP3 is running stock OxygenOS. My issue is that when using the brightness toggle I have on my Elixir Widget, I get a "no permission to use this feature" prompt and it NEVER changes the brightness. I NEVER had this issue on the OPO. It would IMMEDIATELY change the brightness based on my preset levels (5, 15, 50, 90, 100%). I've checked and all permissions are enabled for all of the Elixir apps so I'm not sure why its not working. Its the only toggle I have that doesn't work. Not sure if this is a regular 'issue' on OxygenOS as I've only run CM on my OPO. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Here is a screenshot of the message
I believe I have found a fix for this. I was having the same problem.
I long pressed the brightness toggle in Elixir widget and selected open dialog. So that it would open up a slider.
I saved and returned to home screen them pressed the brightness toggle and a slider popped up with auto, 25% 50% 75% 100% toggle buttons.
I pressed the 25% and it force closed but opened instantly with a report or ok crash message.
I reported it to the dev.
I went back into elixir widget and changed the brightness toggle to an auto brightness toggle, saved and return to homescreen.
Pressed it and an Android permission screen came up asking about changing system settings, it was already activated but there was no ok button so I pressed back.
Returned to homescreen, pressed it again and it worked.
I then changed it back to a toggle between 25,75 and 50. Tested it and it worked. Back to normal.
I love this app. I was wounded when I thought it was broken.
I hope this helps you, I signed up just to reply to this. I found it when I was looking for an answer to the problem, before I luckily and hopefully fixed it.

You're the REAL MVP!!!! This worked! Thanks a ton!!!
Does anyone know if the System addon made by Elixir's developer works with systemless root? Would like the logcat part of the app to work... instead of crash.
Thanks JDMT, much appreciated. Not having any luck lately reaching the elixir developer, so I'm grateful for your response. Maybe he has a life or is working on a new project.
My solution was simpler but based on yours. My problem was in a 1x1 brightness toggle widget. I only got the permission error with no clues.
* Received the permission error with a 1x1 brightness toggle widget.
* Created a 5x1 widget, restoring data from a backed up widget that contained a brightness toggle. (Should work creating a new 2x1 widget, but can't test now?).
* After pressing the toggle in the new widget, the Android permission screen came up.
"Allow write system settings"
Flipped from "off " to "on."
* Now toggle in the 5x1 widget worked fine.
* Now toggle in the 1x1 widget worked.
Thanks!
I have tried at least 5 different status bar battery bar apps today. Not a single one will stay enabled for more than a few minutes. I have tried battery optimization disabled. I have tried keeping each apps notification visible if the app has the option. When I reopen these apps and look at their settings, they show as disabled or the option to start is there.

Never had a problem with Team Battery Bar on stock or custom roms.
I am on rooted 5.0.3. I haven't rebooted since 344 minutes ago (5.73 hours) because I am also troubleshooting an issue with volume buttons. I did uninstall GravityBox and I was using its battery bar so that may be the issue.
Energy bar works prefect....
