It just makes you capable of installing and using JB Sense roms and leaves CM10, AOKP and others crippled.
This, however, is just my personal opinion.
ok

Mike has it I think, Football too.
1. It's a TEST RUU, so you don't wanna be flashing it if you're stock
2. You can't flash a radio on it's own (apparently) as it's different to previous HTC phones

Yes, its true ... there are some guys that flashed the radio already that way and no problems so far ... just one of them reported that he cant enter "airplane mode" i linked you to the radio ...

Uhhhmmm... The file has been sent to testers from HTC itself and people who are selected in the One X Elevate group.
The people from the Elevate group (most of them) have S-ON devices... So why wouldn't they be able to flash this test rom... THEY DID!
Only reason for not sharing is that the ROM may have watermarks and that way HTC could easier find the leakers, just like Sniper911 with the Gingerbread leak.
Those of us who have unlocked HOXS' can expect the next update sooner than those who have carrier branded devices.
Just be patient, from what I have seen with the HOX, HTC have stepped their game up in the "UPDATES" department.

I agree and it's awesome we get really great software support from HTC. I have a feeling it's because the International One X wasn't 100% finished with all its optimizations. This is great because us as consumers get our problems and bugs fixed quite fast from the feedback we give them. Unlike most android handsets but I guess you get what you pay for. My CM9 rom s based to the new RUU but I don't think the radio was applied to it. So far development for this phone is going great and I can't wait for an easy S-Off method.

when will the OTA come approximately?
I have read about this problem but god knows where. I had thought it to be safe since htc have released the source code. Hope I am right in saying that.
Since updating my firmware to 1.28 and installing insertCoin JB rom the wifi in the house on all other devices, (wifi or lan) all slow to a crawl.
WTF my HOX is hogging all the bandwith, not fair and cannot live with it.:silly:
Any ideas/ fix would be much appreciated.
Ignore.

There are two post that speak about the same matter. J.B bugs and wifi problem by baadnewz, best look for this thread and post there instead open a new one.
Ignore what I said, it is for Asian CIDs. Had a bit of a derp moment.

Wouldn't have bricked your phone. It just wouldn't have flashed because of the CID mismatch.
Anyway, there is a new 1.31 HBOOT now (same CID limits as 1.28), and the InsertCoin ROM dev says WiFi issues should be fixed with the latest base.
It seems that every new JB ROM I try the keyboard gets more slower, it doesn't keep up at all.
Even Swiftkey is slow and unresponsive, I've tried AR-HD, Renovate, Maximus and OrDroid and some AOSP ROMS but I'd rathe stay on Sense.
Does anyone know how to fix this keyboard lag? I've cleared keyboard data+cache multiple times, disabled all auto-correction, sound and haptic and still, laggy and slow.

I wanted to try a jb rom but i was thinking if i upgrade my hboot to 1.31 or higher can i downgrade easily to 1.12.0000 again?
ALSO IF I UPGRADED DOES THIS EFFECT MY WARRENTY IF I WAS TO UNROOT?
Thanks in advance.
No you can't downgrade anymore ! Unlocking the bootloader is already part of voiding the warranty for some part...
Ok thanks but..

Thanks can i install and use cm10 if i upgrade hboot and can i use viperx?
Also u said u used jb and updated hboot then downgraded and went bk to viper x within 6 months thought u cant?
Within 6 hours ! You can run all sense based ics roms on the higher Hboots, that's not a problem. You just can't downgrade the Hboot !
Ok sorry just understanding now..

Ok didnt relies 6hrs and this means i can run any ics rom like viperx (could u give a yes or no answer if i can use viperx) and i can also use jelly bean roms. right?
Also can i use cm10?
Sorry for asking but need to be sure to check if i want to update or not?
One more thing when u unroot and relock bootloader u can then return the HOX for warranty but if i update hboot to 1.31 can i still unroot and lock bootloader and still get warranty.
Thanks sorry for messing around :good:
You can run any sense ics rom, cm10/aosp roms don't know for sure.I have seen reports that gps is not working. And yes you can run JB roms
And yes you can return to viper x, I'm running it on my 1.36 Hboot
Warranty yes and no, real hardware defects should be on warranty, but they will try to shove it up your a** because you unlocked the bootloader....so warranty is a bit of a grey area !
ok thanks
