Oh snap! This is the earliest I have ever posted in a thread. GMan - congrats and I am looking forward to trying this out brother. Thanks for the help you've been giving us noobs with the ktoonsez kernel. I was about to go to bed, but it looks like I will be up a bit longer.

G - I'm getting a bootloop, brother. Twice so far. After I flash, the phone reboots as though it is starting up normally, but it reboots into recovery after about 2 - 3 minutes. My process was as follows:
1. Wipe: Factory Reset/System/Cache/Dalvik
2. Install ROM
3. Wide Cache/Dalvik
4. Reboot
I attempted to "fix permissions" after the first flash, but it failed. Any advice?

I'm using TWRP.
EDIT: I restored my nandroid. I'm trying to flash again without factory reset and wiping system - I'm only wiping cache/dalvik. MTF.
Wipe everything 3 times before flashing cant fix permission s until you do a full boot what was ur last rom

OK so I flashed the ROM, it booted up fine for me however when trying to setup Google account it fc's. I decided to skip that and when trying to go into settings as you normally would after fully booted settings FC's. Love that you left it stock cuz all I want is a ROM that's not over themed like most Roms are with the s3 it seems. For now I'll go back to my other ROM but can't wait to see what you come up with thanks man

Most recent ROM was FreeGS3. ROM before that (and my nandroid) was Odexed Blue. After I restored my nandroid, I wiped cache/dalvik, flashed ROM over nandroid and rebooted phone. It started to boot up and went boot menu. When phone finally booted up (approx 5 - 7 min) the OB ROM was still there and I was getting messages "unfortunately, system UI has stopped", dropbox has stopped, youtube has stopped.
I will go back into recovery, wipe EVERYTHING (factory, system, cache, dalvik) 3 times and try to flash again. MTF.
EDIT: It looks like some of what you have done with this ROM has flashed to the phone. When I hold the power button down to go into recovery, my "device options" menu is multi-colored...that is from your ROM, yes?

It's Sprint, ergo, CDMA.
Seems to me like the CDMA tabs never got much love!
I had a couple problems installing it nothing I couldn't fix. Installed on Sprint tab. Had JT CM7 on there with cwm 5. something. When installed from the CWM 5. it stuck at samsung logo. rebooted into CWM again which had been changed to 4. in initial flash, did the 3 times wipe of everything again then reflashed and it worked. SO far I'm liking it really smooth. I have it OC with SetCPU at 1200. Haven't played with it much yet but so far so good.

If it's not working, reflash with Odin the stock rooted kernel available by rodderick in the mega starter thread. The experimental one I included seems problematic.
Exciting stuff. Congrats Random.

Been using since yesterday, no issues or fc at all so far. Only small ripple was music player would randomly skip. Installed winamp and that completly solved the problem. Battery life has been the best of any rom Ive flashed.

If you're familiar with my Samsung Epic 4G Rom (or if you're not, click here!) then you'll know that I currently provide matching blue and green themes, with a red one on the backburner.
The default theme for Osprey is WIP port of the green theme. I will also be porting the blue theme when that's done, and the red theme when I make it.
@randomking.. If I download this can I just do the wipe cache thing and just flash over my old rom. Don't have access to pc is the reason I'm asking. Thanks

When I first flashed from cm7 with clm 5. Smething it wouldnt boot. Reboot into recovery and check your cwm again it should have flashed the cwm Random has included with the rom. If it has triple wipe again and reflash, then it should work. Took maybe 3~5 min max to boot after reflash

This is a stock ROM of AOSP Jelly Bean compiled by Kejar himself. According to the thread of this ROM over at Root wiki, this ROM is working perfectly! Even auto restore is functioning! GummyBean is not the official name but I believe that is the only way to define this as a Team Gummy Jelly Bean ROM!
This ROM comes preloaded with Lean Kernel.
Remember to do a FULL wipe and a NANDROID before installing this ROM.
Here are the links:
ROM - http://goo.im/roms/teamgummy/toro/full_toro-ota-eng.kejar31-20120713.zip
GAPPS - http://goo.im/apps/teamgummy/gapps-4.1.1-Kejar31-20120713.zip
Here is a JB Kernel recommended for this ROM!

I did a clean install and still have the older style gallery. How did you go about your install process just so I can be sure and what rom were you on previously? I'm about to go relock my bootloader and start fresh if I can't figure it out. lol

Yeah. I'm going to try reinstalling gapps again though. I came from Gummy1.3. Wiped, wiped again, format system and data, and expected a clean install. It just seems to be an odd issue.

Go back into recovery and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache. Also wipe system and data in advanced. Then after that install the ROM first then GAPPS. Once that is done reboot. When on boot animation, let it load for max 10 mins.

Happy flashing!!

Currently testing ROM - Battery appears to be holding up very well. Phone runs very quickly. I noticed the Voicemail app on the homescreen has half of its words in the title cut off. Also, ran the PRL and Profile update and both failed.
About to install the updated Agat FH23 kernel and let it run overnight to see what my battery feels like tomorrow. So far... everything else appears to be working pretty good.

Currently testing ROM -
Battery appears to be holding up very well. Will update later.
Phone runs very quickly as others have mentioned.
I noticed the Voicemail app on the homescreen has half of its words in the title cut off. Update Turns out it was the Voicemail widget. If you remove the Voicemail widget and replace it with the Voicemail app icon, problem solved.
Also, ran the PRL and Profile update and both failed. Will test some more tomorrow.
About to install the updated Agat FH23 kernel and let it run overnight to see what my battery feels like tomorrow. Update Wierd, after flashing the Agat FH23 kernel, I was got stuck at the 4g screen forever. Phone appeared to be in a loop where it would vibrate while 4G screen was showing. It would get dim, but then the phone would vibrate and still be on the 4g screen. Did this about 10 to 15 times before I rebooted it. Didn't help. Booted back in recovery and re-installed the ROM, booted into ROM. Downloaded Agat's Kerner listed as v.0.5.4 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767421 and flashed and phone booted up no problem.
Yahoo widgets don't work it seems.

Im downloading it myself right now to try it out, im sure its fine though
Ok the download is Fine just flashed it on my device.:laugh:
I added some cool wallpapers to the OP
Going to be adding a mirror soon, this is the same Rom with abit more theming. Also replaced all the sound files with AOSP instead.
I did try the android 4.2 camera with this Rom, it worked very nicely, except there is sometimes graphical glitches. Maybe ill add it as a flashable zip
Bell to Bell =)
Wow, u seem to have answered my prayers lol. Was looking for a good stock rom to revert to since the horrendous battery life i've been getting on all other roms including JB leaks and AOSP. Downloading now and will report back.
Although, rapidshare is a horrible/slow host in my opinion. Taking forever to dl right now. goo.im or devhost are very quick. A mirror would be nice

-Team Black Out for Play store Apk base
-Avatar and MiguelHogue for testing and feedback - Thanks Guys!
Procedure-Download Rom, Linked Below, and place on sdcard
-Boot to Recovery, CWM or Philz, and make a backup before doing a full wipe (backups are always a good idea)
-Full wipe is Data(factory reset), /system, cache partition, and Dalvik Cache
-Flash Rom (and bloat package after if you so desire)
-Reboot and let sit after initial setup to let sync/setup. After a bit I then suggest a reboot(not required)
-Downloads-
MK4 LATEST

Venum_Ice_MK4_v1.0_ODEXED.zip - 633.66 MB

(small icon/theme update, wipe cache and dalvik prior to flashing)
Venum Ice Bloat Package for v2.0
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407581464
(Bloat Zip is flashable, can use to create bloat zip you want. Use 7zip or other on comp to easily delete things from /system/app in Bloat zip prior to flashing if you don't want to flash the whole thing. If you only want a couple apk's simply delete everything BUT those in zip prior to flashing, and don't forget the .odex files for each .apk. I suggest only leaving in the zip what you want, ROM is debloated for a reason! and blaot apk may be outdated)
Battery Morphsflash in recovery, Wipe Cache and Dalvik-Blue Planet
Venum_Ice_Battery_Blue.zip - 1.84 MB
-Blue Circle
Venum_Ice_Battery_Blue_Circle.zip - 1.90 MB

Based on my STS MK4 rom Here (MK4 Second Post)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121063
Plus LOTS of work
-If you have not already upgraded to MK4 from previous firmware you will need to flash the Wifi Fix via Odin on the comp after Rom boots (link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47817184&postcount=81 big thanks to dr.ketan and Lorjay) after rom flash
-Restoring Apps/Data, and flashing Note 3 Feature Zips is discouraged for stability/features.
BELOW IS FOR PREVIOUS BUILDS. THEMES UPCOMING AS I CAN GET TO THEM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head over to teamvenum.com for all the latest downloads
Latest is "Venum_Ice_2.0_MC2_ODEXED.zip"
READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW DL TO GET Mms WORKING, Change in 2.0.
http://www.teamvenum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=534&p=3973#p3973
Or Go to "Roms", then "sleshepic" for download link
For Themes go to Downloads, Sleshepic, Themes, Morphs (for 1.8)
(in process of testing themes on 2.0, morphs are be outdated and cause issues)
Will Update Themes to MC2 2.0 as soon as I can
Always make a nandroid backup before flashing something (especially before a full wipe) for good measure. As with everything on XDA, I nor anyone else is responsible if something happens to your phone.
And here's Great little Tut on how to odex apps and mods from your phone.

I haven't included the modded wifi tether app, it can be had from the forums if you want it. Started getting real sick yesterday so had to put out what I have so far. Won't be getting much done for the next few days. barely got through the OP lol. Will of course be updating as we go.
Pardon the dumb question, but this is the first Samsung device I've owned so I'm not sure of the answer. If I've already flashed the lk8 package can I still flash this rom?

I guess new kernels should be fine, went with the one included because it had been tested well. As far as modems and such im not sure. But if your running the latest firmware you wont be running my Rom

Great rom sir! Only bugs I've noticed so far are that it says "chameleon has stopped working" when it boots (maybe because I'm on latest firmware) and the photos I'm attaching. Can't read certain text boxes. Amazing performance by the way!

Both of those are confirmed apps that are forcing colors. I can't do anything about that unless app Devs stop forcing colors. I've found where it is in the apks, and I've made vrthemes that correct it before. Pretty much any where there's a text issue is a forced app color. They're rare it seems luckily, ive just learned to live with the xda one
As far as chameleon fc'ing on boot, I have not gotten any of the many times I flashed after a full wipe. The Google search app included is one version older than the current one, because I themed it and didnt see the need to update yet. So if you had any issues you didnt wipe properly
