For about 2 months I've been using AOKP and I wanted to go back to the BAMF rom for funsies. After I installed the rom and gapps I signed into my account and everything like normal after rebooting but none of my apps are installing. They're all there in the play store under "all" when I go to my installed apps. I was hoping someone knows why it's doing it and how to fix it
Wipe and reflash.
did you wipe all your cache?
Well.. Just got my gnex and its rebooting about every 5 mins and all apps, even settings, close after I open them. Sometimes the apps work and most of the times it immediately closes it and goes back to the homescreen. Tried MMuzzy, and XenonHD, both 4.2 builds. can anyone help?
Ive use the stock kernel or the kernel that is packaged with those roms. I used CWM 6.0.2.3 to flash and wiped data/factory reset before both, cleared cache, and wiped dalvic.
Installed the newest release of the Pacman rom and Gapps, but now the android keyboard is crashing after booting. Message states that "unfortunately android keyboard (aosp) has stopped working." I have wiped and did factory reset. wiped cache and dalvik cache as well as formatting system to no avail. I am currently running an older version of Pacman in the meantime. Any ideas?
Same issue on my Nexus 4...
Same here. also messenger crashes when i try to tap a like someone texted me
I just switched ROMs to LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 after using a 4.1.2 for a while. I wiped dalvik, cache, data, and system, did a clean install of the ROM, and booted it up just fine and was able to set it up with my account, do titanium backup for some apps, etc.
After doing all of this, I went back into recovery to flash a different kernel (AOSP uber kernel for 4.2.2) and after the phone did its "optimizing apps" thing during boot, right when the lockscreen appeared my phone crashed and said "unfortunately com.android.phone" has stopped and proceeded to boot cycle.
I decided to wipe the same 4 partitions again and reinstall the ROM once again to start over. This time, I set it up the same way, went into recovery to flash the latest 4.2.2 gapps, and the same com.android.phone crashing bootloop thing started up again after rebooting my phone.
What gives?
I was on CM10.1.3 and updated to CM10.2.0 stable. Then all my apps started crashing the phone. Chrome, g+, etc. So I foolishly tried to go back to CM10.1.3 and now my phone is stuck on the boot screen.
Looks like I didn't update the gapps for CM10.2 , anything else I am missing?
Also, any chance of fixing this or am I forced to factory reset and start over?
TIA
Can you get into recovery? If so download apps for 10.2 put on your scared, wipe cache and Calvin and install 10.2 and g apps and reboot should work

First Wipe cache, dalvik, and system. Flash cm only, let it boot and then reboot to recovery and flash gapps and try to boot again. It should be okay then. If not do a backup and then just restore everything after a clean install

Awesome, that did the trick. Thanks!
Interestingly, none of the google apps were working so I uninstalled them all, then cleared cache/dalvik, then re-flashed gapps.
Now the app all work, they are the slightly older versions though. And I can't download anything new. Is this because the play store is now out of date? Can I force an update there or just have to wait? Thanks again. Everything else is working great.
Clear play services and play store data and reboot

unfortunately that didn't work. HEre's the exact error:
Update for "Gmail" could not be downloaded
due to an error. (Error retrieving information
from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0])
stil getting download errors for some reason. Can't download anything from the play store. Looks like I do have to start from scratch...or change ROMs
