Rogers uses a different frequency band for LTE. It'll have to be unlocked, and you'll have to go into a Bell dealer and get it set up, since there's no SIM card slot.
Thread moved. Please post all your questions here in Q&A.
Thanks

Canadian here,
I picked up an LG P999DW Optimus G2X (Optimus 2x) Link and I unlocked it with the Octopus. I have put in a Rogers(GSM) Sim and I cannot get it to work with 3G even after I put in the correct APN settings. Can anyone help me get 3G working please?
Thanks,
Freerider_4life
Bump, can someone please give me a hand with this? 2g is terribly slow
Make sure the phone and sim are cooperating
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with getting the right network, but you might wanna check with the phone's hardware, and ask the people who you bought it from. I remember my brother got an iPhone 4S unlocked straight from Apple store, and even though the iPhone 4S supports at least 3G speed, my brother is not getting the 3G speed because he is using a T-Mobile powered SIM, not exactly T-Mobile. At the same time, I use that exact same SIM on my HTC G2 and I get 4G/HSPA+ speed, so it clearly depends on the phone.
The phone itself and the SIM has to cooperate in order for you to get the speed you deserve for that phone.
Hope that helps, I don't know much but I've noticed it a lot.
it all depends on bands, most unlocked devices only get EDGE(or 2g) on other networks it will only get 4g or 3g on the device the carrier it was made for unless the phone was made otherwise

i was thinking of buying AT&T lg optimus g phone on ebay since there cheap. if i got it unlocked would it work on bell ? and have no down effects?
You would be better to get an E973.

there so expensive though? whats the differences?
I just got my e973 from bell today.
It works (LTE TOO!!) on AT&T.
So... I assume the AT&T LGOG works on Bell in the reverse. You will need to setup bell's APNs for sure though.
Good Luck!
I just got what was advertised as an e980 for att and i want to unlock it for tmobile. I got an e988 and i wanted to know before i go buy a sim card if it will work on tmobile lte and hspa+ because if i only get 2g i'm returning it and looking for the right model.
if it doesn't i am going to try to get a return for it because it was not as advertised :/
I have looked up but i'm not sure which bands the e988 has compared to the e980.
also does the e988 have an at&t back plate? mine has the att logo on the back. I'm wondering if the guy was placing at&t back on the wrong model to try to sell them.
I'm not sure if this will help, but I have an e980 that I use with TMobile, and a few of the roms when flashed change the device type to e988, and it still works with T-Mobile.

What are the correct settings to get MMS. The MMS won't download right now.
I have the North American 64gb Zenfone 2. I use AT&T's Share plan and I registered my phone in AT&T's system and it refuses to give me LTE. AT&T claims LTE is enabled on my sim but it doesn't work. When I pop in my brother's sim from an AT&T locked device I get LTE. I do not have any other AT&T locked devices in my house as I recently switched. Can anyone help please??
I am having the same kind of situation with Cricket which is owned by AT&T. My SIM had LTE with my LG Optimus G Pro but only 4G with my ZF2. It is the exact same SIM.
Im on straightalk i used a att sim with no issues on my NA asus zenfone 2, had perfect 4G(lte) signal on 06610.

If the indicater says "4g" that is LTE
OK, cool. My OGP showed LTE when it had the signal. I guess I was expecting the ZF2 to show the same.

Visit your nearest AT&T store and get the rep to delete your ZF2's IMEI from their system. If they won't allow you to, borrow someone else's phone and **get another SIM card** from them. Modifying your APN settings won't help at this point.

I think the phone only shows 4g.. My Nexus 4 (wth LTE Radio) shows LTE..
I am also using Cricket and my phone shows 4G symbol, with speedtest.net I get the 8Mbps down (Cricket caps 4g at that).
When I popped in my t-mobile sim (from the Nexus 4) it also showed 4G symbol, but i would get 26-34Mbps down (which is the 4G/LTE speed)
Hey Guys, I have a concern with my recently purchased LG G4 model H812. It's originally from Rogers and I got it unlocked and have my Virgin Mobile service working on it. I have put in the right APN Settings according to the specified network and LTE hasn't even shown up at all since I've purchased the phone. Under network mode, I have chosen "GSM/HSPA/LTE" but all i see thats working constantly is 4G. I also did a manual search under 'Network operators" and chose Bell LTE instead of Bell WCDMA. Any ideas of what can be done?
Thanks

UMTS is a form of GSM

You may want to check out this link (https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h812-firmwares/) for an H81220X Bell/Virgin kdz (H81220x_00_1122.kdz) and use LGUP-NEW to install it.
