Hey all,
I thought I'd share this modded Play Store app I found in the SGSII forums. I've tried a few different mods and this was the only one which worked to enable Play Store compatibility with my phone since I changed the DPI to 280. I don't think this is a problem for folks running PA, but for everyone else, this works.
I am not taking credit for this; I only found it. It is MyLifeRocks10's upload can be found here. (Flashable zip.)
And you can find the original thread here, so you can head over there an thank him.

I've been searching for almost two days for an inverted Google Talk app that will actually work on the GS3. I've tried the ones posted by Rootzwiki, and some CWM flashables posted in these forums for various ROMs, but nothing has worked yet. I've ended up with non-inverted apps or immediate forced closes.
I just stumbled across some random rom on Youtube, of all places, for the Galaxy Nexus that claimed to have all inverted apps. It had a download link for the apps only, so I figured, what the hell? I'll give it a shot. I just pulled the Talk.apk out of the flashable zip and put it in system/app the old fashioned way, and now I have a working, inverted talk app! I've gotta give thanks to the guy who made the rom I pulled the app from. You can see his work here:

This is working for me on AOKP from Task and Ktoonsez, so I don't know if it'll work on a stock based rom. Be sure to back everything up and go through the usual precautions before trying this out. The app is attached below.
I added a couple of screenshots. Sorry if they're not the greatest quality, or the censor bars are too obtrusive. I'm on my work laptop and the only thing I have to edit images is Powerpoint

Inverted Talk works perfectly fine for me.
Sent from my unlocked Motorola Atrix.
the rootz wiki one worked fine for me.
Hey guys,
Just got my N7 on Friday. Have it rooted and applied the "True Tablet" patch without having to change DPI http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780970&page=5
I don't know if this is before or after, but many games/apps my buddy has available, I do not. I can't find the app in the play store from the device and when I look at it from a browser, it says it's not compatible with my N7.
Anyone know what could cause this, if the patch does cause it? I tried searching for someone else having this issue and found nothing.
thanks,
Derek
Has anyone else had issues with custom ROMs on the toroplus and downloading some apps from Google Play?
There are a couple of apps that the Play store insists are incompatible with my JellyBeaned toroplus, but which the developer insists should work fine (and have verified toroplus in the developer console of the store).
Example:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pepinonline.pjstreamer
Play insists that app is not compatible.
Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is that because I'm rooted and running a custom ROM Google Play isn't picking up my device properly. I've verified build.prop values and everything is as it should be (I think) as far as model and device values.

This happened to me on [ROM]|Purely AOSP|JB|Simple, Stock, Stable and Bugless...wouldn't let me get some apps. Ditched it cause of that. I haven't had any issues on Dreams and Shabby's ROM. Wrong place to post this thread though....
@Keegan99
I'm running Purely AOSP JB and have no issue installing your example app. Is there another example you want me to try ?

Bad! Bad thread maker!
*spritz with waterbottle*
What are you developing here? Nothing?
Why is it in development?
If you read forum rules you would know development is for developers to make threads

Now that this is in the proper forum... yes, I've had the issue with JellyBelly. I'm using JellyBro right now (for other reasons) without that same issue.

hello all ,
im a newbie from india in xda and got a fair bit of knowledge of rooting through this awesome xda.
i have rooted my note 2 and installed a custom rom.
however,i updated my play store when google asked me too.earlier in the older version of play store app,the recommendations used to update regularly with different featured apps and games . but now with the new UI of play store ,the recommendations never change, there are categories like Comics ,new movie releases, personalisation, platformers, actor highlight etc. They never change.Tried clearing cache too.Any suggestions why this thing is occuring? or can i go back to the old version?
thanks in advance
cheers
Maybe try downloading other apps. Like music, and photography only. So maybe it's going to update??. Or try downloading custom playstore from xda thread somewhere here.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong place but which themes can i use on my N5 with 4.4.3? If any i would also like so reccomendations.
If this is the wrong place i will delete it.
For what I know (and tested) you can install any AOSP theme. There is a couple on the Play Store.
just google CM11 theme, there are a TON of them here on xda, there are some on Google Play, and CM has a theme showcase app on Play Store.
