Tweaked CM10.1+PA3.0+AOPKmr1=ParanoidKangDroid V2.03 JB 4.2.2 ROM(03.01.13)
This really isn't ParanoidAndroid, AOKP, or CyanogenMod anymore. When you put them all together you have something totally new. With this ROM you can do interesting things like having new rows of toggles and many other things that you'll have to find on your own. However keep in mind that on some occasions different settings can cause conflicts with others considering they're not supposed to be together in the first place, so just be smart about what you do.

If you have an issue and you want to call my attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread, Cyanogenmod's, ParanoidAndroid's, and AOKP's as well for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

No I tried doing that as well however restoring data from your backup will end you up in a bootloop . In terms of reboots I have experienced none try downloading lean kernel the latest and you should be good to go!!
My ParanoidKang Android Tmo S3
I installed it myself to give it a go, but IMO, it seems to be capable of a lot, but the UI just doesn't feel as good as the PA one. I've only played around with it in Tablet UI, but a few things I've noticed is that the navigation bar buttons are too far apart and that the app switcher UI isn't as refined. It is nice having all the toggles work, though. I'll be switching back to PA once the next release comes out.
The recent task manager actually is more advanced than you think (layout is a lil off but if you play with it im sure it could be fixed) what i like about it though is that it actually identifies know much ram your using (see screenshot)Anyhow When you setup tablet mode did you set it up via pa settings or ROM control because it does make a difference

did you wipe fully? make sure you clear cache and dalvik as well as fixing permission. if that doesn't work try reflashing again could be a bad flash .

I set it up through PAPrefs. I don't really care much for the total free RAM since I'm pretty sure we never run out of RAM lol.
FRIGGEN AWESOME! Downloading now.
Guys, for some reason my home button doesn't work anymore... any ideas why? It stopped working right after I flashed this rom, I was on PA before. I can get into recovery tho while the phone is off, so I know its not psychically broken. Any help is appreciated
[KERNEL][TW] Note2Core v1.06 -Standard, OC, Extreme,AsylumCore
Note2Core Kernel for Galaxy Note II N7100 / N7105 (LTE)
I am posting this here because it works on our LTE notes, since they all use a Qualcomm modem. I am running on my TMO T889 note with no issues. All credit goes to g.lewarne, antiochasylum - I am just posting here to so he doesn't have to maintain 2 threads. See their original post
Note2core http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001838
AsylumCorehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001936
About this kernel
This kernel is built from pure Samsung GT-N7100 source, with modifications and tweaks to provide the best user experience in reliability, performance and stability. Built upon my experience firstly with NoteCore and then HydraCore for the original Note, as many of you know, I strive for the best
There are 3 versions of each kernel, for the International LTE model GT-N7105.
This kernel has all debuging removed - logcat, android log, kernel log, schedular log, etc etc all disabled. This is for performance reasons, so if you are a developer this kernel is probably not for you
For the moment, exFAT formatted SDCards are not supported
Kernel Versions
There are three variants of the kernel for each device
STANDARD (STD) - 1.6ghz FSync() enabled
OVERCLOCK (OC) - 1.8ghz FSync() enabled
EXTREME (EX) - 1.8ghz FSync() disabled
The standard version, has no modifications to the processor clocks or voltages and can be considered a direct replacement for the stock kernel, and with FSync() enabled is completely stable
The OC kernel automatically scales up to 1.8ghz, with the proven voltages and stability from the perseus kernel (the same frequency table is used), and with FSync() enabled is completely stable
The EX kernel also scales to 1.8ghz, and has FSync() disabled. It offers by far the best possible performance. In rare circumstances you must be aware that this can lead to data corruption and the need to wipe / reflash a rom back to the phone. 99% of people will have no issues with this, as it has been extensively tested and proven on my previous kernel, but the risk is there. Dont go moaning to me if you lose your data and haven't got a nandroid backup!
Kernel Features
- Built from official GT-N7100 sources
- 1.6 / 1.8ghz auto scaling
- Optimised VM memory settings, and global readahead
- Auto-rooting of any rom when flashed, even stock
- init.d script support
- CPU Voltage support through 3rd party apps
- Modified GPU DVFS utilisation steps for maximum GPU performance, far better than stock (this is NOT overclocking!)
- No logging / debugging of any kind for higher performance
- Decreased CPU frequency transition latency
- CRC32 slicing-by-8 algorithm
- SLUB allocator
- PEGASUSQ governor (default, others available)
- NOOP schedular, (default, others available)
- +50mb more free ram compared to all other kernels
- lots of other minor tweaks and changes
- ODIN TAR and CWM ZIPS available for all versions
- TouchWiz roms only

- voltage bug still present
AsylumCore 1.339
- 1.920 CPU over clock
- 640 GPU clock

- Built with linaro 12.11 GCC toolchain, with -O3 optimisation level
- lots of other internal changes
v1.06
-Fixed Triangle Away
- Maybe fixed rotation / sensor issues on some of the new 4.1.2 roms
1.05
- Fixed all voltage setting and reporting problems (you may need to clear app data in your chosen voltage app)
- Swapped to arm-eabi- 4.4.3 google toolchain rather than arm-linux-androideabi- 4.4.3
- Some minor bigfixes
- Decreased bus frequency increase threshold
v1.02
- Fixed video recording
- Added custom boot animation support, to use place desired boot animation in /system/media under *bootanimation.zip*
v1.01
- Fixed video playback for some users.
v1.00
- Initial release
GPL and Source
I dont use GitHub, so I make my entire kernel source, kitchen, build scripts, ramdisks and build tools available in one complete tarball. Also included in the TAR is a standard .patch which anyone can use to apply my changes against their own source tree. Almost everything you need to make your own version of a Note2Core kernel is included in the download - the only exceptions are the required linux packages.
You can download the latest source here - http://www.hecubus.com/filelist.php?...2core/source
Credits and Thanks
sswagonman for being the bravest of souls, and a good friend
antiochasylum for his encouragement, help and support and friendship
phjz for coding help
Some parts of my code changes can be attributed to the following - Entropy512, franciscofranco, hardcore, gokhanmoral, AnderiLux

Make sure download and flash N7015 kennel only and For the moment, exFAT formatted SDCards are not supported.

For anyone who might not know, HydraCore for the Original Note was by far the fastest & smoothest kernel available. It also gave enhanced battery life compared to stock. I know that sounds improbable to get higher performance even at a higher clock and with better battery life, but it's true!
Unfortunately, I have not had much time to research the implications of swapping kernels (especially since there seems to be added modification detections in place compared to the Note 1) on this phone since I've only had it for a few days now, but when I do this will be my first attempt. Currently I'm just rooted w/o custom recovery but I'm dying to further enhance my phone. :victory:

A couple questions, if I'm rooted but without custom recovery can I just use mobile Odin or Pc Odin to flash the kernel? Will this give me a custom recovery? Also by doing this will it increase my flash counter?

I don't know anything about Kernels but I always love trying new stuff. I was just wanting to see if anyone could comment on what the author of the perseus kernel said about using this kernel on one of the American variants of the Galaxy Note 2? He said,
"The author completely disregards that the US versions have some hardware changes to them and using the 7105 kernel image on this device can be potentially dangerous as the GPIO pins between the US versions and the international version are different and things like battery charging can break. There are several power and charging differences between the two. It's lucky that this is only the AT&T version as on other carriers it would also break sound and volume. Use at your own choice but it's not something to be recommended."
I'm not trying to stir things up I just want to make sure it's safe to use this long term and I don't know enough about Kernels to know the difference. Thanks.

Anyone plugged in some headphones and adjusted volume yet?
Not sure if this is warranted or not (OP I'll delete if you request), but I ran a 7105 kernel on my SGH-T889 and within 24 hours my screen died. Phone still worked, touchscreen worked too, but it didn't light up anymore. Maybe it's a completely unrelated coincidence, just saying what happened to my phone when I was running the wrong kernel.

Infromation About CrossBreeder-
- This is a new take at Android lag reduction. It's lightweight and won't consume battery. Users have reported drastic improvements in usability and even benchmark scores. It will show noticeable improvements - Android devices from Donut to Froyo to Gingerbread to Honeycomb to ICS and Jellybean.
- This is a combination of 5 different methodologies to reduce Android lag.
- Removal of DNS lag . A lot of the lag in a lot of apps, apart from the GUI lag, is due to slow DNS querying, specially on the mobile network.
- CrossBreeder now runs a caching, parallelising DNS client on the device. So now most of your DNS queries will be served from the cache and if not found, the query will be sent in in round robin fashion to multiple DNS servers including Google DNS, OpenDNS and your home router and the reply will be served to you, hot.
- This speeds up network access and networked apps, like Browsers of course, and Tapatalk, Gmail and thousands of others drastically. And removes a lot of the lag where it was due to DNS querying. This will not increase your network or download speed but pages will load much faster.
- This will future proof your devices as more and more apps start using HTML5 and/or reside completely as web pages or the like.-

I am in no way responsible for your equipment, flash at your own risk
Download ComaDose version you prefer, from the downloads section, and put on root of phone
Boot into custom recovery
Flash ComaDose
Reboot to rom (flash stock kernel) or reboot system etc.
This is a .zip file, can be flashed with CWM recovery, put on root of phones storage, boot into recovery & flash.
Issues with repack and new Custom Recovery kernels-
Now Ive heard it works for some people on repacks, and ive heard of battery drain, and GPS taking along time to lock on others. But the best results i get, are out of the "stock" Leak kernels.
Conflicting issues with new Custom Recovery modded and released updated version

Test Init.d With The "21 Test-init.d" script
-THINGS YOU NEED-
Rom Toolbox (free or pro)
Root Access (superuser access) for Rom Toolbox
ComaDose Already Flashed
-Steps-
After ComaDose flash, if you want to check if your init.d is functioning properly you can check it with the 21 test init.d script...
After flash the test init.d script has already ran (on startup) now thwe sole purpose of this script is to show whether or not init.d
is properly functioning.
When this script is ran (executed) as all scripts in init.d are upon startup, it creates a file in the /data folder.
so why dont we take a look for it?
Using Rom Toolbox, go to the "root browser" tab (upon first startup youll be prompted to SuperUser permissions, Allow this)
Once in Root Browser youll be in the root of your device by default. ( / )
Click on the "Data" folder..
In the /Data folder, were looking for "Exit Only Init.d" file
if you see this file, your init.d is working and all scripts are running ...
If you dont see this file after reboot (post flash) you can execute the "21 test Init " script manually...
back out to the root of the phone, go into "system", then into "etc" then into the "init.d" folder and locate the "21_testinit.d" script, press on it , bringing up this menu.
press the "open as" tab, bringing up this menu...
then press the "script file" option..
Then you want to press the "execute Script" option, making sure the "execute as root option is checked, as shown below.
which will then execute the script using init.d support to do so.. looking like this
after its executed, go back into /data and find the "Exit Only Init.d" file if its there your init.d is working.....
If its as good as it sounds, this'll surely be one of my favorites. Trying this out.

Its not kernel sensitive , nothing in this relates to kernel. should be 100% compatible, only thing you need to be rooted, (busybox etc) Crossbreeder is awesome. has add block etc. for those who want to shut off certain aspects of crossbreeder there are terminal commands you can find those in his thread...

12 hours in, and I must say I am impressed! Definitely helps with reducing lag and with screen times. My battery is much better today, but being on my wi-fi instead of that nebulistic vortex that is Universal Studios Orlando will always improve battery. Will follow the OP instructions and do a full cycle, then report back.
Thanks to @Goddly for the lovely treat!

Seems to be doing well for me except for one problem, it seems to conflict with adaway? I restored a backup from right before I flashed this and adaway worked fine, but with the mod adaway says disabled every time and resets to that when I try to enable it, which requires a reboot.
Any ideas why? Potential fix?

Crossbreeder has its own ad block brother. try uninstalling adaway, if you find you want or need adaway as opposed to the ad block in CBreeder, there are terminal commands that can be used to disable ad blocking in Crossbreeder.. lemme know ill give you the disable terminal command.
looks good, will i need to uninstall crossbreeder before i flash this
edit: cant wait, i will uninstall and flash!

This tweak pack Originated in the Epic 4G Touch Forums, been tested, and has improved-
Battery Life - Marked battery Improvement... User battery life may vary, depending on a varitey of things, widgets, radios, etc., etc.,
Network speed
GPS lock
System performance, Increaded app load time, etc.
Tweaks include-
Crossbreeder V7.2.13 (Idcrisis link in the thanks section)
wifi_wait (Kobridge)
gps.conf (Exit_Only & g_ding)
Memory tweaks (Modded Kobridge)
Test screenstate Variant (screen off = deep sleep, Modded Phakker)
Init.d test script (Exit_Only)
NOS - Injection (modded) (Exit_Only)
and more
Infromation About CrossBreeder-
- This is a new take at Android lag reduction.

Really glad to see some familiar names from the E4GT days.Great phone and great Devs..I remember some of those scripts.Anyway this os working great!

Kobridge and phhaker made some amazing scripts. If your using them than I know it'll be amazing. My phone is instantly snappier. I notice a massive difference and it is definitely NOT placebo.
Jesus. This is ridiculous. Everything is blazing fast!
Great work
I think you have to add SuplRootCert file in /system/etc cause in the gps.conf file there is this line.
SUPL_TLS_CERT=/system/etc/SuplRootCert
And why there are 2 different kb read ahead values? In the KB_read_ahead_tweaks script it's 2048 and in the S02_direct_inject script it's 3072? Is it for the internal and external sd card different or is it a mistake? Nice work btw.

Are you guys seeing the same, less or more?
Flashing right now... Will I have to reflash this every time i dirty flash or clean flash my rom and ak kernel?
It works on STOCK ROMS and any CM x.x
A-GPS FIX
I have found another solution to speed up the GPS fix. Please find it here:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447593
I have checked and it works if you flash in CWM mode the patch with A-GPS lock. GPS found the location just in seconds even inside the buildings.
This is the link for the file CWM http://derekgordon.com/gps-files/agps.patch.google.build.cwm.v3.1.zip

PERFORMANCE
To general speed up the whole andoid system I used a MOD from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2360985
◢ Features ◣
- Android performances improved at 360°
- Radically improved management ram on android (Lags...adios!)
- Script lightweight and revised to be adapted to this engine
- Improves a lot the graphics: of course Pure Graphic™HD, Pure Dithering Plus™ and... AOSPA 3.60 system tweaks
- Scan multimedia time drastically reduced
- Network Improvements, 3G experience even in 2G modality
- All SQlite database optimized
- Enable hardware features turned off by default for a better experience on entry level devices
- Greatly increases the score AnTuTu: Try it to believe it!!
- Reduces the startup time of Android
- A version for stock rom and one for CM, to squeeze any roms!
- Allows you to play ported games without lags
- Cleans the system every 24 hours, thecache every week and the Dalvik every month (cronos easter egg)
- Automatically Zipalign on each boot (sensitive to the user)
Battery
- Drastically decreased the drainage of battery
- Check the activities that consume too much battery stop them with PureWakelocks™
- When the phone is charging reduces system services for faster charging
- The battery is calibrated on every boot
- Disable animation of the system when the battery is nearly exhausted
- Improvements in build.prop as regards the part of consumption
Graphics, Screen, Images
- Enables a non-aggressive dithering to save CPU
- When you lock the device, the engine makes sure that the GPU is turned off
- Enables deep sleepalso in the bugged rom
- Parts of bravia engine
- Of course parts of CrossBreeder (credits to dev)
- Of course parts of Adrenaline Engine (credits to dev)
- Of course PureGraphics HD, even though I already told you
- Of course V6 supercharger
- Generates video entropy (like seeder)
CPU, Governors, I/O Schedulers
- Slightly improves the scaling of the frequencies (for better results you need a good kernel)
- Lightens the load on the CPU switching the workload to GPU rendering
- Enable the swap partition in Android (experimental)
I've said too much, man. Install this engine and discover its power!
◢ Compatibility ◣
This engine works on any devices with any rom, but there is a version for CM's rom and one for stock based firmwares. So, CMx.x, Lewa Os, MIUI, etc.
Install the stock version only on your stock firmware of your phone....
if your device don't have gingerbread or ICS officially, install the CM version (This also applies to the AOSP)
◢ Positive feedbacks ◣
And finally ROM works like a charm.

Sorry I did not see any updates for this thread. Yes you can just reboot your mobile to bootloader and flash a version for CM just there. Reboot the mobile and it will be updating on boot up. Do not wipe anything. Just patch and go.

I see the difference on my mobile in everyday use. I don't know about antutu score but overall see the difference, windows open very quickly without lags or delays. Camera work better and quicker. I am using Wildfire S and have a 1 GB ext4 partition on my micro sd card.
I flashed that GPS fix and now GPS locks (didn't even lock before) but it shows wrong coordinates, about 200 kilometers from my actual location. Any ideas?
