Permanent sidebar app? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hey just got my first android after being with the iPhone for like 5 years. No jailbreak, no fun...So I thought I would try android and I like it so far
Is there any sort of permanant sidebar tweak you can have for your note 2?
Something like this:

If you've used Ubuntu 12.04+ a sidebar like that where you could launch your apps and app switch quickly. I am talking about a permanent "Multi-window"
The screen is huge, I wouldn't mind if my screen got a little smaller so that I could use 1 hand

Any updates on this? Really would like to have a permanent, customizable sidebar
Thanks

You need to try a few aosp roms. Cyanfox, bam, pacman, and omni have side bars.

Disable side volume buttons?

Like may of you i slide my phone in and out of my pocket 100 times throughout the day. Using it to get emails, social updates texting etc etc. I find myself constantly turning up or down the volume when i don't intend to.
Could just be the crappy case i have on it but wondered if there might be a setting that could disable these keys for the initial volume menu that pops up. Once programs are running and i need to change the volume, I'm okay with that, just from the home screen let's say.
Thanks!

[Q] Will I be able to use all of the "Premium Suite" features...

I am running Nova Launcher (Prime) instead of TouchWiz as my launcher... so will I be able to take advantage of all the Premium Suite features, or will I have to ditch Nova and go back to TouchWiz? Thanks.
100% stock everything.
We don't have premium suite so .......no.

Switching launchers doesn't stop you from using features unless they're home screen specific which you cab rest assured Nova will implement.

Has anyone replaced the S-Voice double click toggle for something else, such as Google Gesture Swipe?

Quick question

I'm currently running an MIUI ROM on my S3.
Does it use the same directories for system sounds or are they moved to another, for whatever reason?

I'm not sure. You can use a file manager (like root explorer) to find out.
