[Q] CZ QWERTY keyboard - Windows Phone 7 Development and Hacking

Hi there,
after unlocking my Nokia LUMIA 800 I miss last feature of that great OS - I'm used to QWERTY keyboard and OS contains only QWERTZ. Is is possible to make XAP remaps these two keys in CZ keyboard?
Or any other solution for my problem? Before using CZ predictive dictionary I have used UK QWERTY keyboard and when I need some special czech char I switched to CZ QWERTZ.
I have opinion - to replace UK predictive dictionary wich my CZ (dictionary.0405.dat) but I dont know where can I find original UK file:/
Many thanks for your answers.

Changing the keyboard layout

Hi everyone!
Many people out there from all over the world have upgraded their Artemis to Windows Mobile 6, thanks to people who are working hard on cooking nice ROMs for us. These people are used to a specific keyboard layout, many languages are using special characters too.
It would be nice to have a way to change the keyboard layout : something like easy installing CABs or a how to on what to change in the registry, what to remove on the storage, or whatever way to have our own keyboard on theses WWE ROMs.
Is it possible?

Hi Romano2k,
The only thing that i have found was this regkey:
http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Windows_Mobile_5_Registry_Tweaks
But afaik does this regkey only work for the 'hard-keyboard' and not for the software-keyboard, so this answer won't help you a lot...
On my P3300 nothing changed with these keys and nothing happend when i changed the keys in 'HKCU\Keyboard Layout' In another forum i found a thread and they are saying you need a third-party software to change the software-keyboard...but for me it's no problem to use the english keyboard...but french keyboards are much stranger (i think french keyboard are the strangest keyboards that exists) and so i can understand your problem
Cheers
Peter
Love your reply's title
I agree with you, the french keyboard is strange, I wish they were only DVORAK keyboards all over the world! But I need my "é" "à" and so on... I'm sure there's a way to change the software keyboard!
Vive LA France
As far as I know it's a dll file that you would have to change. Never tried in WM6 to replace it, in WM 2003 it wasn't possible. Resco Keyboard would be an alternative if you don't want to try to change the layout yourself.
ups...
My french isn't that well....long time ago since school
I found a cab for the german keyboard, maybe you will find out more when you take a look inside this cab ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321236
Found French Keyboard ?
Heya,

Hero: Greek T9 missing

Hello i own a european HTC Hero and i have recently updated to ROM v2.73.405.5. It has been bought in Italy so only english and italian locales can be selected. I have selected Greek locale using Customlocale.apk, and now all menu and keyb are in gr language, but Greek T9 is missing. Anyone knows any possible solution apart from installing a 3rd party keyboard? Thank you

TP2 keyboard issue-device for swedish market

Hello all,
I have a problem with HTC TP2 since I bought it, few months ago. I think device is made for Swedish market and I'm running WWE ROM. Keyboard is standard qwerty and all the letters work OK, but after I press FN key to add a symbol (above number) it's not displayed correctly. Do you know how to change it?
Thank you in advance (and sorry for my English)

QWERTY intead of AZERTY

hello ,I have an Andromadus ROM(mimicry 1.3) installed with a french keyboard(AZERTY)
when I want to use my physical keyboard it's on QWERTY instead of AZERTY
can you help?
thanks.
Did you set your language as French (France) in system settings -> language?
And when using the physical keyboard, is the android stock input selected, or is SwiftKeys3 selected?
Reason I ask is because other users with French Desire-Z having shown their keyboard physically has a AZERTY layout, have not had any problems typing as expected on mimicry. Unless it's a weird beast of a english Desire-Z with the keys switched around.

[Q] Adding a French qwerty mapping in myONEv?

Hi, first poster and first time flasher, very exciting stuff, especially the pre-OC'd kernel, I love it
I do have a little issue with myONEv though, the ROM doesn't have a "Français (Cananda)" locale and it appear that all the other French locales have an azerty keyboard. Is it possible to add a French locale with a qwerty keyboard mapping, or somehow change the mapping without changing the language?
Thanks for your time.

Hmmm any French keyboard will work fine
Example m on India but English(dubai) works fine for me
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Hi, thanks for the reply.
It's not that they don't work, the issue is that all the French locales use the azerty key mapping. In Canada we use the French qwerty keyboard, unfortunately right now I cannot get both a French system and a qwerty stock keyboard in myONEv. I can always use a third party keyboard like swiftkey as a workaround though.
sad man! have u tried googling it!?
