HOW TO INSTALL
1. Your device needs to be rooted.
2. Download the attachment and save it to the download folder in your SD card.
3. Get Root Explorer ; open it and navigate to the download folder in your SD card.
4. Choose the attachment you just downloaded (NOTE: the filename must be bootanimation.zip), move it to the directory under /system/customize/resource (may differ depending on devices). You need to have Root Access and MetaMorph installed on your Nexus.
Installation:
1. Download file below, note this file requires the MetaMorph Application
2. Move to “Android Themes” folder created by MetaMorph on SD card
3. After checks, choose “Unzip/Extract New”
4. Follow instructions from there
5. Phone may reboot, if not, manually reboot

More color options / other Nexus Mods available at droidpirate.com
Someone on the "signal red" thread mentioned if the colours could be changed, and i guess it couldn't be more simple: just edit the png files contained on the zip file with any photo application, even Paint will do it. Just choose the colour that suits you best for each one of the .PNGs and it's done.
This is just an idea, please ask the mod owner for permission first.
yeah go for it, just edit the PNG that reside in the ZIP just make sure you repackage the zip file correctly. If you wanted to change to a different color you can use the color replacement tool in Photoshop.
Okay so this is my first attempt making a boot animation. No where near the quality of some I have seen here, but please let me know what you think, and give me some some feedback so I can see what I could improve on my future attempts!

DB One X (07/10/2012)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5wh2fxlbwyn0iq3/bootanimation.zip
How to install bootanimation.zip:
To install you need to follow these steps:
1. Install Android SDK.
2. Put the bootanimation.zip in to the platform-tools folder where adb is located.
3. Depending on where the bootanimation.zip is located on your phone (dependant on rom), use one of the following example commands to push over the downloaded bootanimation.zip:
Code:
adb push c:\sdk\platform-tools\bootanimation.zip /data/local
Code:
adb push c:\sdk\platform-tools\bootanimation.zip /system/media
Code:
adb push c:\sdk\platform-tools\bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource
Alternatively you can use a root explorer to do this manually.

Hello guys!
I just want to share with you this little mod that i've made (big thanks to adi_aisiteru_reborn that linked me the tutorial)
As you can see in the picture, i've add the "%" symbol in the battery icon. It's not that much, just a little graphic mod, but here it is for all who want it.
hope you enjoy it
only compatible with alpha 4, when arsradu will update the ROM, i will update the systemui.apk too

}
for the newbie XD: to install it
1) download my systemUI.apk
2) use a root browser (the best, in my opinion, is root explorer) and, first of all, move it in "/system" folder
3) here, change permission of my SystemUI.apk in "rw-r--r--"
4) "Important" make a backup of your old systemUI.apk (it is in "/system/app" folder)...for the backup just copy this systemui.apk in the external sd card, to avoid any errors
5) then, push my systemui.apk (please be sure that you have setted permission like i said) from "/system" in "/system/app".
6) Confirm the overwriting with "yes", reboot and that's it

Thanks man
I flashed the zip but my boot animation did not change! Help!
Sent from Rooted N4
These are the steps I did
unzip the file
look for bootanimation.zip at the unzipped file
with root privileges: go to /system/media and rename bootanimation.zip as bootanimation.zip.bak
with root privileges: copy the bootanimation.zip from (1) to /system/media
with root privileges: change the attributes as the old file
restart
Thx u.
Nice, but I wish something like this:
(imagine it with "Nexus" or "Android" instead of "marvel"
Thanks to @Dewaynelives and @kevinrocksman for providing the sounds. I just combined the two and made a zip file to have it all in one place.
You can also make your own sounds and just convert to .ogg
-YOU NEED ROOT
-YOU NEED ROOT EXPLORER
-OPEN ZIP AND DUMP SOMEWHERE YOU WILL REMEMBER
-OPEN ROOT EXPLORER AND PICK THE SOUND YOU WANT; THERE SHOULD BE THREE FILES
-COPY AND PASTE THOSE 3 FILES TO SYSTEM-MEDIA-AUDIO-UI
-FIX PERMISSIONS TO RW-R-R(Not required for sound to work, just a habit)
-TEST SOUND IN S-PEN OPTIONS
-PROFIT
**FOR SOUND FILES THAT ARE ALREADY CONVERTED BUT NOT NAMED PROPERLY JUST RENAME TO ORIGINAL SOUND THAT YOU WANT TO REPLACE.**
