Apparently there is a chip in the phone to improve image quality, but only works with HTC Sense?
Is this correct? If so, would using ROM Cleaner but keeping HTC Sense mean the special chip is still working?
Thanks.
It works with Sense framework (all ROMs based on sense -> every ROM in the Android Development section except JellyBAM)

So it's not related to HTC Sense directly, just to Sense based ROMs.

Wth!? That's a lot free,sense only run 52mb
Is all the messaging and phone app all stock HTC app??

Multiasking is much smoother if you use some form of swapping, a custom Sense rom that supports a swap partition on your SD card would be your best bet outside of using some apps like SuperCharger and other tweaks.
At the very least it would least keep some of the apps from crashing as they are pulled from cache and back into memory when needing to be used.
Personally I don't see the huge appeal with Sense, but I guess it's more of a personal preference than anything else.

You by chance using anything like an App Killer or SuperCharger etc?
PS: Sense 3.5 and earlier is Gingerbread right? (seems more likely to get that kind of free ram on a GB rom than it does on an ICS one).

Try MIUI 2.8, nice battery life and interface, only if youre lookin for somenthing very different than stock rom
Wildchild 3.3
My phone crashed yesterday (removed too much systems apps with link2sd remove feature on my rooted phone )
DCPLC was my previous firmware which was also very good (long battery life and HTC sense interface with clock,...)
But since my phone kept rebooting on the HTC logo now (since reboot) I got stuck.
Luckily I once flashed boot recovery clockwork onto it.
So i could reboot into recovery and flash the Wildchild 3.3 zip file.
Great firmware, very fast, no nonsense.
I now have more free memory than before on my odex version.
When will the NEW lockscreen by Tigger31337 ("slider"-style, not ring-style) be available for Wildchild 3.3 ? (like said on the topic)
Hello,
I am currently running TouchWiz on my Galaxy S3 I have tried different roms such as Liquid Smooth. I love
the experience and the stability however I miss the Stock Camera app and therefor back on TouchWiz.
The one thing that I miss the most is GeoTagging my photos with the stock Camera App. Does anyone know
if there is a hidden feature or another App in the market place that will allow me to do this.
Or is it possible to port over the TouchWiz camera to a custom rom?
Thank You,
Kristopher

I just realized I misunderstood. Its not possible to port the TW camera over. And there is (or should be) a GPS tagging option in CM10 if I remember correctly.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877183
most ics+ roms already use gpu for rendering, im not sure about gb though.
i do know that in "the classic" gb sense rom in the original dev section you can enable or disable gpu rendering.
Theres a line that you can add to the build.prop to do this

Um, can I just ask, is this good or bad? Do I want this? How will my life get better?
If it's good in some situations and not others, then which ones are which?
Why isn't this already part of the stock ROM configuration? There has to be a catch.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
I know almost all custom roms use it and there are no issues. As far as stock goes I don't use them so I can't say.

I looked at the latest probam 4.3 and that seems to have a selection of roms functions including cm10. Take alook at that if you wish too. I am on viper x Rom sense 5 and that has loads of tweaks.
I'm currently on viper 4.0 but I don't see any tweak with dialer... I pushed phone.apk into system app folder but I get android.phone has been closed

Shock, the CM phone app doesn't work in Sense.
There are a few skins out there but not many. There is certainly not a CM skinned dialer for Sense 5 on HOX at the moment. Haven't had it long enough.
I think the new dialer looks sweet. Definitely better than 4+.
