I lack the knowledge but I think Triangle Away resets that as well.
Flash a recovery with Odin, let us see how it goes from there :fingers-crossed:
after recovery i can get to cwm again. im going to try and install red pill kernel, then use automatic binary counter reset from triangle away. hope that works

I flashed Phoenix Rom V16.7 successfully (It boots into android without problem). However I lost root. Tried flashing CWM "philz_touch_5.15.0-n7100.tar.md5" using ODIN. The phone rebooted into android. I unchecked "Auto reboot" and repeated the steps but now the phone is refusing to reboot into recovery mode, whatsoever. It hangs at "Galaxy Note II" logo. However I am able to reboot into android successfully. Is this soft brick? Gosh am scared. Kindly help. How can I get the recovery mode back?
If you have root, try download goo manager and install twrp recovery. Goo manager can be found at the play store..

Don't worry, just go into download mode and try to flash stock Samsung firmware.
Finally was able to boot into stock recovery.
Flashed Philz 5.15 thru PC ODIN and installed Dr. Ketan V6_1.
Reset Flash counter from 7 to 1 with Triangle Away.
How do I reset it to zero?? Tried Dr. Ketan Tool but it reverts the CWM Recovery to stock and looses root. Not able to use Triangle Away afterwards. Any help?

If you have a custom recovery your flash counter will always be one. You either have to flash stock recovery or there is an option not sure if it's only in the pro version to set triangle away at boot but i have read it's not advisable. Search the forum there is a thread on it but it's an old one

This just isn't working for me haha.
I tried to root my T-Mobile Samsung Note 3 originally using Kingo ... Got stuck in bootloop.
So I turned to Chainfire with Odin, that worked.
I tried to install TWRP recovery by Goomanager ... Booted in recovery and I would get a dead android with a red exclamation point.
I tried to install TWRP via Odin ... Booted in recovery and I would get a dead android with a red exclamation point.
I used to Root years ago, I somewhat get the process but for some reason I am have a not successful on any of my initial efforts.
Any help would be great.
Thanks will be given

UPDATE ... I got it to work. Apparently I had a old file. Got the newest TWRP and installed on Odin and we are good to go
So two days ago I thought about installing Vision X rom on my Note 3 (T Mobile).
I downloaded the ROM and then backed up my current ROM (nandroid). I had Phillz touch recovery then.
Then I thought about going to TWRP and thus I downloaded the latest zip for my phone and flashed it via Phillz upon trying to reboot into recovery it got stuck in the screen "Rebooting Recovery...".
When I restarted it would still try to reboot into recovery and get stuck. I got out of that by going into download mode and then selecting "Restart Phone".
After that I looked for solutions and upon failing to find any I thought about going back to stock and starting from ground zero. I managed to flash the latest stock using Odin however I forgot to do a factory reset before hand.
When I tried to do a factory reset in my, now stock, phone it failed and then got stuck trying to get into recovery. It would flash "Rebooting Recovery..." then restart and flash that in a loop.
I have lost my root as well in the process and trying to root using Odin and CF-Root just get's me back in the recovery boot loop. I can use the phone OK however this is not a stable situation.
I'm sure I've made some serious errors in the tinkering and would like to get my recovery back. I really love Custom Roms. Any kind and knowledgeable souls out there to help me in my cause?

Go to the Playstore and download TWRP Coordinator and then
use it to install the latest TWRP recovery for your phone.
Once you can get back into TWRP recovery you need to flash
the cf-autoroot for your phone. Be sure you flash the CORRECT
version of cf-autoroot for your phone's model.
Good luck!

The app is constantly crashing!
It would start for a second then close. I tried the TWRP manager as well with the same result.
I've lost root access when I Odined back to stock, won't I need root access to install new recoveries?
Sounds like you flashed the stock 4.4 firmware and now need recovery to root. Flash this TWRP file using Odin http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/hltetmo/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.1-hltetmo-4.4.img.tar
Once you flash it, you need to boot into recovery to install supersu to root.
Switch off the Galaxy Note 3 (remove the battery and reinsert if needed)
Next, press and hold simultaneously Volume Up, Home and Power.Release the buttons when the screen flickers and wait for the TWRP menu.
Select Reboot, then System and install Supersu for root.
Once booted, open Supersu to update it and grant permission.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Im pretty sure your rom that you are running is corrupted, this has happened to me
when this happens recovery will not let you run that ROM. So it will
keep rebooting into recovery. Try this, go into recovery Wipe Data,Cache and Dalvik
then reboot, if it still doesn't work try flashing a Rom.
my rom is the orginal sumsung rom that came with the device only rooted.
i will try wiping the data/cach/dalvik and then maybe restore an old backup that i have.
thanks for the advice.
well it didnt work.
i also tried to recover a working version of my rom and still boot loop to recovery.
plus when i power it off and connect the power cord it startup automaticaly to recovery.

I think The onlyest way is to flash a Stockrom to your Tab.
Then try to flash a Recovery to your Tab again, but i prefere CWM or Philz Touch not TWRP.
maybe i should install philz on top of twrp and then restore old backup?
i dont think i can get the orignal frimware form samsung in my country.

The prob is, only with CWM or Philz you restore Backups froh there, is The backup froh TWRP you need TWRP as Recovery.
Download from sam The Version what is in The box .
well i found the orginal rom in .img file at samfirmware. i belive its pure stock - i know that someone of you can confrim this - but how to i flash it?
i belive is with odin buth as for the instracion. is it like flashin recovery with odin? if so i will follow that instracation and give it a go.
I have the same problem, did anybody figure this out?
ended up just reflashing the stock rom from odin instead of twrp and it worked.

So I've done this before, attempting to install a different type of ROM, the only way to repair this is to return to stock via Odin. Download the stock rom in the 10.1 dev thread, reboot into download, and flash via Odin.
Hey Need some help.
Updated to the NF4 update on KIES. Rooted my phone with CF auto root everything worked fine. Then proceeded to flash CWM recovery touch. Now i am stuck in boot loop. I cannot get the phone to start in download Mode to odin the .MD5 or the stock recovery to get my phone to boot.
Phone starts.. says
RECOVERY BOOTING....
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
SET WARRANTY BIT : recovery
sits there for about 10 seconds,
then reboots.
Anyone know how i can get this thing back into download mode so i can ODIN the .MD5? Or did i just brick my phone.

Here is a sure fix for the rebooting issue,
odin flash TWRP recovery and like magic
you will no longer have bootloops.
Here is the direct link for the latest TWRP for N900T:
