you can use an app called "Ultimate Rotate" to do landscape with the stock launcher and here's how it looks in landscape.

This is a BIT off topic, but i have been told that certain apps (like gmail or people) switch to one pane mode in portrait and 2 pane in landscape, can anyone confirm this for me?

I see two panes in Gmail app: left pane shows all the labels & right pane shows email message. But, while in portrait, if you were to select an email message, it will switch to 1 pane. For landscape, it always shows 2 pane.

This is standard for all apps that support Portrait mode. G+, Astrid, Gmail, Springpad, etc. All of them do this.

My apologies ahead of time if this topics been touch on already, but theres a hidden diagnostic mode on the sgs3. You go into the phone app and dial *#0*# and you'll get this cool diagnostic tool to help ensure you device is running normal. I've returned 2 sgs3's due to faulty sub key touch buttons and dead pixels using this and I just thought I'd share.

Just tried on cm 10 and Aokp and it doesnt work. Must be stock base.

There is a red blue green test where it shows solid colors so you can easily detect them. I hadn't noticed them before hand, so it definitely came in handy.

Yea home button seems like its disabled once in diagnostic mode, but you can hit back 2 times to get out. Dont have to reboot.

But I think I figured it out. I freeze a ton of functions I don't use/want running and I believe either "factory test" or "factory mode" is probably the enabler, both of which I have frozen.

Touch option is pretty cool, it fills the screen with all these boxes and you follow them all around your screen with your finger to detect any non responsive areas of your screen. Dead zones you can say. My 1st s3 failed that test.

It shouldn't matter these are all the Test***.apk that are on the stock. I know I launched a few of them manually, didn't know there was a menu for them all. You should be able to add the apk back in from stock.

No, I'm running it on 4.1.2 just fine, it works with the SixAxis controllers (PS3), all the buttons appear to be already mapped and the on-screen touch buttons vanish when using it.
I will absolutely be buying this when it comes out. It plays just like the original and looks awesome on the Note 2.

I'm on 4.1.2 as well and I've had no issues either.
What tells you? If it's the market it's because Rockstar hasn't released a version compatible with our device yet. There's plenty of sites that host the the .apk + data with the xapk issue removed, root not necessary, just create an obb folder in android/data on your internal sdcard, paste the data portion in there (obb folder you created) and you're good to go....google it and you'll find it pretty fast.

I wonder if they're delaying it for the note 2 possibly because they might make an application for it to be better i think graphically wise.
If you think about it it just makes sense I mean the Galaxy Nexus is in no way compared to the note 2 I honestly think a note 2 would be able to blow it out of proportion graphically. That's just my 2 cents

I downloaded the data/obb portion and then pasted it, then installed the apk, but now it goes to a black screen?
Do I have to change the build.prop?
EDIT: Did everything and even changed the build.prop, but no go.

You should install the apk first. Then copy com.rockstar to sdcard/Android/obb. Worked fine for me that way.

Paste the actual directory WITH the data file into the obb directroy not just the data file itself. It need to be in the com.rockstar... directory within the obb directory.

Im trying to buy the game but the app store says tha the galaxy note 2 isn't compatible. But when you read the app description, the note 2 is in the list of the compatible phones...

I bought it by changing the build prop, rebooting, then purchasing it in the play store. After the install and verified it worked I changed my build prop back.

Paste the obb folder after you install the game

There working on it because they can never get **** right. But there graphic settings are stupid and to be honest the game seems to be pixelated a tad bit especially in cut scenes. That is even when max settings.

USB Host Mode Cyanogenmod 10

I am seeking help or knowledge about an issue with Cyanogenmod 10 stable. Does anyone know if it has USB Host support. I want to hook my XBOX 360 controller up to an on the go adapter to play games. I'm doing research online it can be done and most devices recognize controllers immediately. Mine does nothing when I plug it up. I downloaded an app can use joystick center test app and it detected the controller but didn't respond to any of the test. My wife is running Infamous resurrection ICS. It also doesn't seem to detect it.. So, am I missing something? I also tried turning on and off USB debugging..

Well all the videos I've seen state you need 4.0 or above. Also maybe I'm just expecting too much but doesn't it just seem like this would be kinda standard? Especially if I could get it on a stock ROM?

As a side note I just connected a blue tooth mouse and it worked great... Just the XBOX controller doesn't work.. This is terrible. I just spent extra money to buy this whole otg adapter and XBOX adapter etc... Crazy this doesn't just work.. I know the adapter works I just connected it to the system to test it...

That's the give and take nature of AOSP vs TW. AOSP has more features, but many times, stuff is broken or missing in AOSP ROMs.

So for anyone else searching this topic in the future. Cyanogenmod 10 does have the support. You just need the right to controller. It recognized s USB mouse, And a generic game pad.

Anyone knows how to change the icons in the ubuntu side bar? Do i have to change the icon OS wide? If so, is there an App that i can make use of?? Thanks in advance!
Oh and how much does the premium version cost, dont have credit card synced to my phone so i can't see the price.

The premium is $3.88 and the premium advantages are listed in preferences. I don't think you can change the icon size yet.

Your suppose to swipe right and scroll through the apps to open one,but if you swipe left on say the home icon it will cancel instead.

If you turn of your phone you'll have to click the app again to launch the dock.

I'm using Swapps. It looks more Holo-ish. You can find it on the portal.

It looks nice, but the one in the op looks like the Ubuntu dock.
I'll add swapps to the op for those who want a holo dock.
