Hello.
I am getting an error then i'm trying to run asphalt 6 and dungeon hunter 3 and other games. "You do not have enough available space on your memory card to install the game. You need to delete 993 MB from your applications (videos, images)."
Can anyone help me, Please?
Unless someone can upload you some SD card space, time to bite the bullet and buy a bigger SD card.
I have 7.02 GB available :/
How much on your internal?
On internal 1.8 GB free. I think it is trying to download to usb storage. How could i set it to save to sdcard?

What's the space of your internal storage? Downloading apps from market always saves the app to internal memory before moving to sd card (if the app allows) Sufficient internal storage is essential.

If I know, Desire doesn't allow to download large apps from market. You have to find APK file somewhere and than install it directly from SD card (after moving the APK file there). Don't forget to check Unknown resources in settings of applications.

Hey, Thanks for the quick response. I have my sd card partitioned and data2sd so i have 760 mb free. Ive heard that the issue is that the desire has a small cache but im a noob so i dont exactly know what that means or if there is anything i can do about it.

There are workarounds for this. Remind me to post a script on the thread.
Swyped on my Htc Desire running on Supernova Extreme - Gingerbread goodness with 2 GB of Internal memory
So I know that out of the 16 GB about half is taken up by the Samsung apps I'm fine with that. My question is this it shows 9.72 total space and if I add up everything on the internal SD card I should have about 4.5 GB available although it shows only 3.2 GB left. Any ideas where I should look or apps I could use to help trouble shoot this. I am using the Dark-stalker Rom latest version. This problem did happen with the stock ROM as well. The only thing I can think of is I used folder mount to store some data from a few game loft games on my external card. Since then I have deleted the games and unpinned the folders to be mounted to the SD card. I'm at a loss and would love any input.
I attached a pic of the storage read out
Thanks

Do you use ClockworkMod Recovery and save your backups to internal storage?
That could cause this because the rom backup doesnt show on the sd card list you posted.

OK so yea I forgot I did a backup before I flashed this rom. Where would I find out where it stored. Im assuming I could then just copy it to the SD for now until I needed it for any reason.

What you are asking is impossible, you can´t make bigger the space of you´re phone, using the sd card.
Allthough you can try to use some applications to move the apps to you're SD, apps like Link2Sd(You need root) or more.
Also you can root you´re mobile and use titanium backup to delete apps you don´t need and you can´t remove, normally, but attention, if you remove some apps you´re phone can stop working.
I hope i helped!
If you have unlocked bootloader, you can flash Lupus GB kernel. It have 640MB data partition. And with the help of Link2SD (to move as much apps as you can to SD) it should be enough for some time
You could also partition SD card so apps2sd or link2sd can use it expand storage but is somehow harder to setup. You might check http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning

Are you rooted? If so get titanium backup pro (it's worth the $6 or $7). There's an option for moving dalvik-cache to /cache in there. Depending on phone, you can free up 80-100 MB of space by doing this. Here is the manual method, but it may not work on a lot of devices. Lack of space on these phones was my driving force for rooting it. I'm not certain about this (maybe someone who knows can chime it), but I believe making a separate small ext3 partition for your apps (something like 1-2GB) on your SD card helps out with speed of apps stored on there using link2sd.
Can someone tell me what this means? Also for some reason I can't install certain apps, such as firefox, even though it states that I have about 600 mb of free space?

It would help if you give out more information, like how and where do you get this message.
And about the problem with installing Apps, I think the 600MB of free space you are seeing are of your Micro SD Card because the Xperia Play only has around 400MB of Internal Storage.

I see this mesage when I enter cwm. I'm using x elite gamer and xtreme kernel.
The 600 mb should be from the internal storage (I think its a custom partition) because I have a 32 gb sd card and it does have many things on it.
So after so much efforts i could hardly free 1.60gb on my internal memory but still the game's data file is of 2 gb....I have already read about foldermount app but according to it, that app is used to move data file from internal to sd cars and then game can be played, but in my case i dont even have sufficient space to use flodermount...so is there any other way to do this....i have already rooted my phone..

Hey, i have got a solution, root your phone, install xposed framework and download 2 modules in that- one is savetoexternal and the other one is obbtosd ..this solved my problem regarding playing games through sd card...
Now all my games are able to detect the data file from sd card and not through internal storage..?
