[Q] anyway way to mirror cm7 on mhl adapter yet?

Just bought myself a mhl hdmi adapter and was wondering how to mirror cm7. Other roms work fine tho

Do you have a ps3? If you do just stream. That's what i do. I'm on cm too.

I'm hoping to find a way to connect my Epic to a TV or video monitor, but so far I haven't found any options. It doesn't seem to support MHL or video from the headphone jack, so are there any other options to get video output from the Epic 4G?
If it helps, I'm running CM9 RC1 with its stock kernel.

No, There is no TV out capabilies on the Epic 4G. You only have Allshare to beam it to a Samsung allshare capable TV.

Nope. There is no TV out drivers to hdmi or rca. Host mode will allow you to connect input devices like usb stick memory, jump drives, stuff like that.

if you get one of the android mini computers that plug into the TV's USB port and turn it into a smart TV, would you then be able to use allshare to push video out of your Epic to the TV? Or even any TV that you plugged the android usb computer into?

It has to specifically support Samsung's Allshare which I think is proprietary on Samsung smart TV's atm

actually Allshare is just samsungs version of DLNA. you dont have to use allshare, there are other DLNA apps on the market, and they all connect together as long as you are on the same network. i have used my epic on a sharp aquos with allshare and it works just fine. i would imagine those mini androids with HDMI would work fine for this purpose.
edit: i just noticed he said he is on CM9. so he doesn't have Allshare anyways. but iMediaShare is one i use on cm9. the free version isn't as good as it used to be, you cant just take a picture and stream it to the TV like you could before, but the paid version lets you do that.

The most important thing for me is being able to mirror my screen on a TV, so I can play my emulators and other games on the TV, not just streaming video files.

Hi guys,
is it possible to connect SIII to TV, mice and keyboard at once? Is there a dock out there to make this possible? Will the mice AND keyboard work through Bluetooth when I connect the SIII to TV via MHL adapter?

Yes it works but you need a standalone Bluetooth keyboard/mouse as the hdmi will use the micro sd slot so no dongle.
The hdmi has a slot for the phone charger- in fact it won't work without it

What about a dock? Did anybody found one with hdmi or micro usb output so J can connect mhl kabel?

Probably too early the cables only been available for a few weeks. Just dont get anything compatible with s2 as samsung changed the hdmi pin arrangement on s3.

Or you can wait for the allshare cast dongle then you can use usb hub with an OTG setup

The setup he means is to use the accesory that Samsung will sell (dont know when), to cast your phone screen to your HDTV (up to 1080p) called "all cast share dongle", this connection is wireless so you will be able to connect a keyboard, mouse and HD...using a USB hub and a USB OTG cable.

Is it possible to somehow adjust the resolution on the monitor, because it is just a big copy of your mobile screen.
If it is possible to make the icons smaller? I want to use my phone for browsing and I dont want huge panel in the browser.

not really. but for browsing u can use a browser which uses full screen like the stock one, and request desktop sites.

Hdmi how?

Is my e4gt lacing an hdmi port? I jabbed an hdmi caller I used with my photon/electrify but there is no hdmi on this phone I have but I've seen posts about hdmi out. I'd love to be Asker to hook up my e4gt to my TV and use something like ubuntop again.... Do I have a bad model or are they doing it over wifi or what?

You need an MHL adaptor. Just Google it and buy one off Amazon. If you have a DLNA TV or Bluray you can use the app allshare on the phone to stream movies, music or pictures without wires.

Mhl adapter and hdmi cord also for non−smart tv.

As well as Samsungs Smart Dock with wifi combo mouse and keyboard connected via HDMI to your TV...

Make sure you get the 11 pin mhl. Not the 5 pin.

AllShare Cast Dongle is excellent! No lag, I watch Youtube with it.
