I got both Titanium and Dropbox installed. Defined a Titanium backup schedule for the backup to be synced to Dropbox but Titanium keeps comming back with "Dropbox access credentials are not defined".
Tried to figure out where and how to define the credentials but no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a really weird issue that should be automatically resolved, perhaps we're both overlooking something obvious...
Anyway, the solution is simply to first enable Dropbox in settings, which I assume you've done, then run the schedule that should be in schedules tab afterwards, "sync to dropbox". You will then have the automatic permission dialogue appear and it will sync, and be ready for use in other schedules thereafter. You don't have to complete the operation after running the sync schedule, just get the account permissions done and you can cancel the operation if you want.

Yes did enable Dropbox, ther is a green tick against it in initial screen,
Ahhh..... think it requires you to first run the sync manualy at least once so you give Titanium the permission to access the Dropbox account. Hope it works from now on!

Yes, that's it. Though I can't see why they couldn't just have this functionality in options.

So I recently installed a new ROM and used mybackup root instead of titanium as the automated re installations of my apps was very tempting. However, upon trying to restore, it restored about 5 of my total apps. It lists all my apps in the program and just says: Nothing Restored. Is there a way to fix it? Or I was thinking if I installed Titanium could that somehow find all the backed up apps and reinstall them?
You can go to "SD CARD\rerware\MyBackup\" and there you should see the .apk's for all the apps you backed up. I haven't tried myself, but i'm pretty sure you could just install them. Might take a bit longer, but I'm not sure about the cross-compatibility between the 2 programs.
What about contacts? How do you back up those?

Those should be syncing automatically with your google account. Go into your gmail account and click on contacts on the side.
Will this work even if the contact says phone only?

No, those you must manually backup, or you could add them to your Google contact list and then they will be backed up automatically upon sync.
Ok, thanks

Hey all,
Been having an issue and wanted to know if anyone has experienced the same thing.
I recently added a second Gmail account for my school email, and the first time it automatically downloaded some apps that I guess were downloaded from the market under that account. This is fine and I expected that, however...
I deleted all of the apps it downloaded because I don't want them anymore. A little while later it proceeded to download them all AGAIN without me doing anything. I deleted them a second time and then when I got home and connected to the wifi, it again downloaded all of the same apps.
Any idea on why it is doing this?
Thanks

Settings > Backup and Reset > Uncheck automatic restore.

Thanks. So it's normal for it to "restore" my apps more than once after adding an account, and after I delete them multiple times?

1) With Titanium Backup Pro, how do you use DropBox? I've set it up in the settings, but what is the next step? How do I actually get the backups to start flowing?
2) With Touchdown, is there a way to view one calendar with both my Touchdown and Google accounts? Doesn't matter to me whether it is through TD or the native app/widget but I need to be able to see availability for both personal things and business.
Thx
For titanium backup, tap schedule and then select run drop box

In the samsung account it has both backup and sync settings.
The backup is ok for sms, mms, call log and wallpaper, and I ve used it a couple of times to restore these things when its had a more recent backup than titanium.
My question relates to the sync to samsung account option for contacts, calendar, internet and s note. The only thing I see usefull here is the s note as the others are handled by your Google account. But although I have the sync enabled and my s notes have a little cloud in the corner, I've noticed there is no restore function, so if you wipe your phone and want to restore the notes synced to your samsung account, I cant see a way to do it?
Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not sure I see the point of syncing to the cloud if data can't be retrieved when needed?

Actually if u delete them they will be deleted in Samsung account but if u factory reset it they will be there as soon as u add your account

So it means that I cannt use them as backup, unless I also save it in the phone?

You can use sync and back it up to your Google docs
No it means when u save them they will be saved in phone and account but if u delete them also both account and phone file will be deleted

I had to factory reset my wifes s3 a couple of days ago after a few fcs with thenew leaked firmware, all her s notes had the little cloud in the corner but when I re-synced with her samsung account, it didn't restore her notes which is why I don't think the sync is much use

After flashing a new ROM and opening S Note, I see all my notes for a second then a dialog box pops up and says syncing. After about 5 seconds all my notes are erased. I have a nandroid backup and all my stuff backed up through Titanium, but no matter what I seem to do they get erased upon opening S Note for the first time. I've tried turning airplane mode on first, deleting the Samsung account and somehow it still syncs and deletes all the notes. Since I have this backed up, is there any way to extract the notes from either the nandroid or the Titanium backup? Thanks!

Are the notes not synced then on your Samsung account? I know little of the SNote sync functionality, but if they are properly synced to your samsung account up front (this of course assumes things are working on samsungs end) all should be well. On the surface it sounds like there are no SNotes stored on your samsung account so it is syncing an empty SNote list to your phone. I am of limited help on this though - sorry!
Is there an s Note folder in your internal sd card? I don't have a Samsung account, but when mine syncs that what it us syncing with. It's basically just updating the app

Yeah the folder is empty. I'm assuming it erased all of it, and a nandroid backup wouldn't include those files. I had turned sync off before because this happened in the past, and sure enough I accidentally enabled s note sync in this most recent flash and it erased them all instead of copying them to the server like it should have. Grrrrrr. Thanks though, I guess they're all gone permanently.
Do you all use sync? I also turned it off because of the massive wake locks it was giving me.
