LF Stock Kernel/Custom Kernel - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I just switched to the SIII today from an NS4G. I'm already rooted using pure stock and was wondering if there is a stock (unrooted) kernel download I may need for future use. Also I'm looking for a custom kernel I can use on stock w/o having to flash an entire ROM. I've been looking all day and found nothing. If anyone can help it'll be much appreciated ...thx

Stock kernel

Hi all, I have a telus t989d that I want to return to factory settings (unroot) now I'm looking for the telus stock kernel but couldn't find it anywhere, can someone help me plz
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
just odin back to stock update 2.3.6
I have been looking for the Telus stock kernel as well. I know that there was a link to an unmodified kernel here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1325168
But the link isn't working anymore. I know -Mr. X- released a recompiled stock kernal (minus CIQ) in his tweaked ROM here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356739
Would that kernel be good enough (provided I flashed the stock ROM and recovery) if I had to return the phone somehow?
If not, does anyone have a working link to bubby323's stock kernel?
Thanks for any help (it probably goes without saying that I'm new).

[Q] Flashing a custom ROM

So I have a rooted S3 (Rogers) at the moment but Im not quite sure what kind of ROM is good for it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
I followed that guide - Just in case this info might come handy.
and also
Model No. : SGH-1747M
Baseband : I747MVLLH1
Im still quite new but I do have a bit of experience since I did root + flash a custom rom my S2 before
Thanks
Make a backup of your imei and do a nandroid back up. It all depends on what kind of rom you want. If you want to stack closer to stock then go with a Touchwiz based rom so that you'll keep all the samsung goodies. If you're a purist and want a more pure android experience then go with an aosp rom. I'm using task's and ktoonsez's aokp build and I find it to be extremely good. I haven't used any of the TW based roms but if I were to I'd use Triune II based on nunhugger doing great things on my previous phone(samsung infuse).
Instead of just asking which custom Rom to flash, I'd advise you to find out exactly what you want from a rom and then maybe people can make a better suggestion to you.

[Q] Proper steps to getting back to stock kernel

Hey guys. So, I've been reading and reading and flashing and everything.
Got an S4. It was running 4.3 and I was having Wifi issues.
I had read it was a software issue and welp, I've always liked Cyanogen Mod so I installed that.
It installed the nightly build which was WAY too buggy (I use my camera a lot and it kept failing) edit: but the WiFi worked perfectly!
I got back to 4.2.2 now but now the WiFi is Totally not working now and i'm getting that message about
Kernel is not Seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit : kernel
and it takes forever to reboot.
Since I was on 4.3 do i need to flash that stock rom to get my stock kernel back?
Or can I install deoxed version??
I still need to put custom recovery too!
I know this is a lot of questions and i'm not much of a n00b.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you are using any Cyanogen/AOSP/AOKP/GE/KiKat roms then please ignore the following.
If you are using a M919 Tmobile Samsung S4 Jellybean Touchwiz 4.2.2 based rom then here is
the way to fix your wifi issue.
Here is the download link for Ktoonsez's custom kernel:
http://ktoonsez.jonathanjsimon.com/sgs4/TW/KT-SGS4-JB4.2-TW-TMO-12.12.2013.zip
Download it and flash it using cwm/twrp recovery and the wifi will work for you again.
Good luck!
I'm running the stock rom but it seems like somehow it didn't overwrite the Cyanogen kernel.

That means that this kernel is for you..... "IF you are really running the stock rom".
If your rom was REALLY stock, I mean if you "ODIN" flashed the stock rom using the
official Samsung M919 4.2.2 Jellybean Touchwiz firmware from http://SamMobile.com
or other sources then whatever kernel you had the stock rom would have over-written it.
If you are sure that it's not over written that means that you have NOT ODIN flashed the
official 4.2.2 M919 MDL firmware.
Good luck!

[Q] ROM\Kernel Questions

Hi Everyone,
I'm currently rocking Wicked ROM v5 with SaberN3Kernel_10.7 on Android 4.3 and I have a few questions that I searched around for but couldn't find clear answers.
When I'm ready to upgrade to KitKat or whatever version is out by then, can I just use OTA update from T-Mobile or do I need to flash the stock ROM myself using ODIN?
If I ever wanted to flash a new custom ROM or a stock ROM would I still have Saber Kernel or would it get overwritten by whatever the new ROM came with?
Thanks In Advanced,
Art

1. If you are running g a custom ROM you will need to download the official version from sammobile.com and then flash using odin. The OTA does not work if using a custom ROM.
2. When you upgrade to 4.4 you will loose root and your kernel. It's just as easy to root 4.4 as it was 4.3. If you have a custom kernel and you flash a new ROM most of the time you are given a choice if you want to flash their kernel or not. If it does flash their kernel you can always reflash the one you want. Just as a side note, if you upgrade to 4.4 make sure your kernel is built for 4.4.

Help! Need Stock ROM for I747 running 4.4.4 custom ROM

I have a Galaxy S3, running a Slim Kat ROM with Android 4.4.4. I am need of a stock ROM that I could flash to my phone. When I try using Odin, predictably, it fails because the only stock ROM I can find is version 4.1. Does anyone have a stock ROM that would work? This phone was already rooted with a custom ROM when I bought it. I like the freedom and the absence of bloatware, but I have just had too many glitches. The battery life also seems worse with custom ROMS (I've tried several), and it wasn't good to start with. So, I would like to put a stock ROM on here.
if its an att (i747) see this post , it might help
