My phone battery stats shows phone Screen uses 63% of battery. But the Mobile BRAVIA Engine is off and Brightness of screen as as low as i can. I have a battery drain problem. Is it occuring battery drain? or is it normal?

Turning off bravia doesnt save much battery.
My S has most percentage of system use.
Did u eake the display often? Or just screen off standby?

But screen brightness does. I read many forums But all I found is most percentage use for system.

How to display the battery as percentage instead of a icon representation.
I'd rather see 45% battery life then a icon that show's half.
Any apps that you recommend for this?
Epic Blackclass will be reeased soon and will implement this. Initially showing 10% at a time will update later with 5 % intervals.

whats the details on Blackclass? when will it be out? and will it run on top of Epic4G? or need root? details?
Yes it will require root, a preliminary "version" of it should be releaseed in the next few hours.
Since TouchWiz doesn't have battery percentage built into it, the only way would be changing/flashing the framework with requires root.
You can get apps that show a battery notification with %, but changing the battery icon itself to have percentage isn't possible without root.
Don't know if I will be finished by tonight, but soon.

Yeah that irked me there was no option in there to show it.
In fact there were other apps that when I opened up actually showed the percentage number.
As you can see, something is keeping my phone awake while I'm not using it

How can I find out what it is?
Could that just be phone idle?
But why would it be awake so much when i'm not using it?

Try CPU Spy. That's what I use to show what percent of time the phone was in Deep Sleep for. It doesn't tell you what apps have caused you to wake from Deep Sleep, but should give you better figures
You seem to have poor reception. Maybe its the phone switching from 2G to 3G or switching towers?
I had wake issues on firmware 2.3.3 where the phone would be awake for up to 90% of the time, 2.3.4 seems to have fixed it.
could be apps syncing data in the background?
empty the dalvik cache folder and restart your phone......let the phone setup the cache for each app again .
i was having very bad battery life .. its like just 2hrs off gaming and 5 hrs normal use plus
my message tone use to rang and notification bars shows nothing ... noww ALL is WEll "D
I posted this in another thread, but judging by the lack of replies, I guess that was the wrong place. I have a SE Arc S with cm9, when I turn my phone off (last time I tried it it was switched off for 10 min.) the battery drains, and not just a little bit, but 40% easily. I've attached a screenshot, this was after powering down for 10 min.
What's causing this?

This issue may be due to incorrect battery calibration, i suggest you discharge your battery fully and then charge it to 100%.

yeah, I thought so, too, I did that twice and a "wipe batt. stats"

There is no such thing as battery calibration for Li type batteries.
And are you sure, that your phone turned off properly and did not end up in a bootloop?
yes, I long press on/off button and chose "turn off", then it says "turning off" for a few seconds, then the screen goes blank, so I don't think it's a bootloop
For several past days I'm having issues with battery calibration. T700 drains extremely fast. When battery shows 0% device turns of...OK but when I turn it back on it shows 37% ?!?!
How to solve this?
Using stock rooted ROM.

I might try it too if it works for you.
Hi,
I have had Sony XZ2 Compact since May, it was great. But starting from a week ago, the battery started to drain fast. I did not install or change the usage habit. For example, in two hours, it would go from 100% to 85%. Any ideas? thanks

Hi to all....since I own this phone, I have an impressive battery drop ... I use it normally, facebook, very few calls, whatsapp, telegram, and little else of applications I use frequently.
if you use it mixed wifi and mobile data, arrive at the end of the day with 20/25% (and most of the time I keep it in airplane mode, almost 8 hours, at work).

I don't know particular applications that consume ... the drop is noticeable, in little more than 3 hours I go from 60% to 40%
