I've just tried to change my profile pic by using the app and I'm either getting an error saying "Failed to connect to the forum...." or "You can not modify your profile."
After seeing those, I went onto the desktop site to change my pic there instead. It seemed to work because I had no error message, but my pic still hasn't changed.
That's when I noticed this...

As you can see, the picture on the left shows that the pic I tried uploading has been successful but my current pic is still showing, as it shows by my profile pic on the top right of the screenshot.
Why is there an option to change profile picture on the site, if when I do it changes nothing?
As it seems the app cancels the website out, in regards to this issue, how can that be changed?
And finally, how can I get this damn Christmas picture as my profile pic?

You need to change your Avatar if you want it to show in threads. The profile pic only shows if you go into someone's profile.

Are you sure you used Edit Avatar,not Edit Profile Picture?

Yeah. I used Edit Profile Picture first, then when I realized that was the wrong picture I changed it from Edit Avatar and I'm still in the same situation.
Even tried using a different browser, even though I doubted that would make any difference.

Try Do not use Avatar in Edit Avatar,Save Changes .They again try to upload the avatar,maybe it will change this time.

Try refreshing the cache in your browser.

What screenshot app is everyone using? Just wondering cause right now I'm using shootme and it is good but doesn't let me upload here. Only if I use picsaypro to change the resolution..any ideas?

That's the same one I use. You upload it by uploading it on a site, like photobucket, ect then paste the link, I don't think the app lets you link pictures [xda app], or upload it to a public folder in your dropbox, then copy that link/file.

Like the both of you, I, too use the ShootMe app. I uploaded several screenshots, via the XDA app, mainly to the Warm TwoPointTwo thread. Update: I just uploaded a screen shot of my home screen.

If I may suggest, download and install the XDA app. It will allow you to post a screenshot taken with the ShootMe app directly to these forums just like I did earlier. It's simple and quick.

The XDA app will upload it to the tapatalk servers and link it. I had to change from png to jpg though for some reason or it would give me an error.

+1 i had to do the same thing.
drocap2 flawlessly and easily takes screens and can upload with xda/tapatalk with no extra steps

On the xda app, I found that it doesn't let you upload .png files so you have to change the shootme settings to take the screenshot as a .jpeg. press menu when you open shootme and click on preferences. Lemme know how it works for you

I have been wanting it since I had Droid Charge, and I could install TW4.5 ( which is a moved version of TW4) and it does rotate home screen, but its very buggy also breaks Motion sensing in ET4G.

Go purchase Launcher Pro Plus from the Market. Your screen will Rotate, Bounce, Flip or whatever you want it to do.
Obviously, in the future make sure to post in the appropriate sub-forum.

Not really..... It's annoying having the homepage rotate every time you pick up the phone.

How do you delete contacts in cm9?? It synced all my contacts from gmail and I don't need them all I have the ones I need on my sd card so is there a way to just select all and delete them? Or at least a way to delete them one by one because I can't find any way at all.

I just went and checked everything again there is no way to bring that screen up on my phone lol. I flashed the latest nightly from today, the 26th. And if I hold the contact nothing happens, and when I press a contact it calls them directly. And there's nothing in the settings and nothing next to the contacts to press. The best I could find was to hide the contacts but that hides them all even the ones that I want to stay lol.

Contacts>menu>contacts to display>customize>
You'll find groups, hold 2secs on those groups .. you can delete all contacts and import from which you've saved in SD card ..

No lol the menu doesn't work. Ur supposed to click the contact image, then click the image again, then menu>delete. But that's one by one lol.

I cam over from an Iphone and when I would send a mms the pic sent would be same quality ad received same as when someobe sent me something. I see that is not the case with the note2. When I send pics they convert into lower quality versions of themselves. When I receive they are in some sort of slideshiw video format. In whatsapp it works fine. Is there any reason for this and does anyone know of a fix?

Iphone is the only one that does it like that with I message. Att forces phones to compress with pics and it ends up in a slide show type format usually when the person adds text to the message. It sucks but I don't believe there is any fix for it.

I had the same issue, especially with videos. I started using dropbox. Turn on auto-upload, and a few seconds after taking a picture (or a few minutes after taking a video) you can sms someone a link to view the full-quality picture or video. Works great, and all my pictures/videos are backed up!
This happened in January, as you can see on the attached picture, back then I'm not worried but after reading the malware BadNews. I got worried that this maybe a malware trying to text info from my phone to the developer. Any idea what is this?

I did not get this, but if I were you, I'd hit trash can in upper right immediately? Just me!
Looks more like you're messages app was open with the screen on and you accidentally typed it out and sent it. I mean if you google the characters there really isnt any mention of such an event replicated elsewhere.
Edit : Also if you look closely you will notice that most of the characters are from the left side of the keyboard.

And seeing as you have crossed out the details of the recipient, my guess is that the text was sent to someone you know, not the developer. I give more weight to the accidental typing.
