hey anyone download that Beats Audio Installer on our phone? People online are talking about it bricking their S3
what does it do?
It installs the beats audio drivers that are on the HTC phones. Most people say they notice a big difference.

Check the Android development thread. The is a flashable zip with beats audio. Have not heard of an installer though.
I have flashed it and seems like it works.

I have tried it a couple of times and it has not worked for me. A few others have posted that it didn't work for them as well

is it possible to add beats audio to a stock evo 4g rom? if so how?
If it's a stock ROOTED rom, I don't see why not. But you need to be rooted.
As for how to do it, read the few threads in the development and Apps section dealing with installing Beats
Beats does not work on any roms and beats is a sense 3.5 thing

U should try radience rc3 if you want a good ROM with good sound

Wouldn't we just need something to activate it or turn it on because the antrax kernal has beats built in
Right?

It's dependent on A LOT of different things then just the kernel and HTC music app. Also beats doesn't even fully work on the HTC evo4g

For beats to be 100% functional you also need a beats enabled audio processor as well as the software

You can also try RCMix Rom, the beats audio on that Rom is not that bad...

Beats audio zip flash via recovery...
If u search a bit before posting, you will get the guide and zip in development section...
Remove dsp before flashing the zip, else phone gets stuck at starting application screen...
Btw, beats audio is not confirmed to be working.. people say that sound quality has increased but its not proved...
I am happy with dsp neway...

Does DSP manager work on rooted stock?

If you have the Play Store, there are plenty of equalisers available to download.
Yay I got DSP manager working. Just dl the apk, paste it in system/app, reboot, and enjoy killer audio.

DSP is yesterday's. Try this.. Noozxoide for super clear bass blasting music and Dolby surround for your videos from your phone. It's a Sony exclusive. I have it on all my devices.

I think Awesome Beats Audio apk is better but I think Noozoxide is also good, both better than DSP.

Awesome beats installs and leaves tons of scripts on the device. That's why the package is almost 20mb. Acid audio V5 + Noozxoide provides user with a much crystal clear sound.

Hello Everyone. I am new on XDA. I have recently installed universal mega bass + beats audio via zip file. I haven't noticed any result(even with headphones). Also PowerAmp stop working. So want to get stock music files. Where would I get it? Thanks

Let's start with easiest things:
1. What rom are you using right now?
2. Have you installed right megabass package?
I am currently on CM 10.1 but I am not sure from where i installed it. Surely it was somewhere from xda and also it was installed successfully
