I've been on cyanogenmod ever since I've rooted my phone and I've never used touchwiz once. I've been browsing through the roms and I like what the goodness rom has to offer but I don't like the way it looks. Before I download and flash it, is there a way to make it look completely stock touchwiz?

After you flash the ROM, install titanium backup. You can remove bloatware with that app. Anything T-Mobile you can remove.
They call me "Jelly" cuz jam don't shake like this!
Don't you prefer to install custom rom? Many custom roms have bloat already removed. I recommend FrostyJB, very stable, most of bloat removed, long battery life.

I wasn't using any ics based roms so nothing from my personal experience. I know that there was Frosty based on ics, I saw it somewhere. If it is as good as his jb based then you should be happy with it. I recommend going to development forum and checking the most popular roms, you should find something interesting. Sorry for not providing much help in that matter. I just don't have much experience with sgs3 ics based roms.
Good luck

That has no bloat, but also you lose Samsung exclusive (tw based) futures like motion or smart stay, and it may have more bugs. But this is very good option for some. I'm running right now one of cm10 based ROMs and I love completely bloat free experience. Battery life is incredible. But I miss smart stay and few motion gestures.

Root & install SU + BusyBox.
Install terminal emulator from the market.
Fire up the emulator & go to town on APKs in /system/app.
For the APKs you find annoying & not spelled to your preference....or you simply wanna claim a Fatah on, delete.
Win.
How do i get this i see so many ROMs in the dev section i cant figure out which one is stock Lil. I just want a stock rooted ROM with the choice to remove what apps i want

Look for mrRobinson's post. Right in his post it says Stock root injected rom.

Well I was thinking I cant be the only one who loves the look of stock AOSP/CM but the relatively bug free operation of stock roms.
Foxhound seems to be the answer to this but isnt for sprint:

Wondering if anyone else would be interested in a rom like this? Also wondering if any devs would be interested in a project like this?
From what I could tell it's just a de bloated tw Rom with aosp apps right?
Then why not just do this
Use a tw Rom like blazer
use root explorer to delete the apps you don't like
Find the aosp apps for tw in themes and apps section and flash
Find inverted Google app and flash

I guess the part I really liked at least based on the screenshots is how accurate the theme appears to be. I tried ICS theme but it was lacking
I would be all for this.

I'll bump to that!
I'm running Jellybean and rooted, but I like the feel of TouchWiz well enough I haven't flashed any other roms (yet). The one thing that bugs me though is the TouchWiz lock screen--is there any way to just flash the AOSP Jellybean lock screen, or maybe the CM10 one?
Many roms include it

Check themes and apps. Morphology

Many roms do include it... Probably the easiest way is just to flash a stock rom with it.

I like the stock rom as well, I dont know if you can flash just the lockscreen, but if you go for the whole ROM package, I would recomend you the Sac23's Unofficial Synergy ROM port, it has working multi-window and the AOSP Lockscreen option, and it looks and feels pretty stock, im on the V2 right now, just small bugs, nothing mayor, I get 14 hours of battery and its pretty smooth.
You can give it a try, just flash the V2, not the V3

The reason I bought my Nexus 4 is to forget about flashing custom roms and stuff! I like to use stock and rooted, but I notice that all themes are only compatible with cm 10.1 or AOKP roms, so my question is if there is a way to theme the stock rom framework the way u can in cm10.1 or AOKP? Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Yes, it's possible. You can pull the appropriate files and decompile, theme, recompile, sign, then push it back to the phone (that will require a lot of patience and technical ability). You can also try using ZipThemer, but I haven't found any compatible ZipThemer themes in the N4 forums -- in fact, I'm not even sure tgat ZipThemer is compatible.
But the easiest way would undoubtedly be to flash a ROM with Theme Chooser capabilities and pick from the almost-thousand themes available.
Btw, is it okay if I ask why you don't plan to customise the s**t out of your N4? Personally, the only reason I bought the Nexus is because of the immense dev support, and also to teach myself a bit of programming and modding along the way.

You could flash a deodexed stock ROM, then you'll have a very theme-able "stock framework".
Yeah but the thing is that when I start flashing roms then it's like an illness that I can't stop, I lost so much time on my galaxy s3 flashing roms tweaking and modding, man it just gets crazy! Also the update to 4.2.2 it's coming soon so I wanna stay on stock rom to get it as soon as it comes out!

I'm wanting to flash rasbeanjelly due to its amazing theme but I'm happy on stock so check that ROM out its pretty stock but the theme is really nice
