Rogers I317m, rooted and was running Hybrid rom when decided to flash Note 2 core Asylum kernel. Phone was stuck in boot loop and wasn't able to get back in TWRP so decided to reflash stock rogers ODIN tar. Flashed successfully however when phone reboot, it's now stuck at Samsung logo. Can anyone please give me some advice or help me out here? :crying:

Phew, was able to get it going again by getting it into some stock recovery mode, clearing cache and doing a factory reset. Now to do a clean install of Hybrid 1.3! :good:

next time check the md5 if there is one, just sounds like you had a bad download/flash. glad you got your problem sorted and hopefully this helps someone else. A good md5 check is never a bad idea, n'or is having a jig handy to get into dl mode.

So two days ago I rooted + installed cm10, I was having some issues so I did a dark side wipe and re-installed cm10 after that I didn't not think I had wiped my phone properly so I went back and did the factory rest wipe... Well oops... Now my phone won't do a darkside wipe or install cm10. It just sits on the installing text. I was able to use my back up which also seems very bugged, when I try to restart it just sits on the goodbye screen (just one of the big things I've noticed). What do I need to do to fix this, please explain in laymen terms so I can fix this, thank you and sorry for my ignorance....
What recovery u working with
I would get into download mode, Odin back to stock and ready root and re flash

Do not use dark side....when I first rooted I couldn't flash anything. Once I quit using dark side I had no more problems

I'm using rom manager with clockwork mod flash option, it worked before but just freezes my phone now when i try to use it. As far as dont use darkside, I dont really know what else to use. My phone isnt letting me install anything in recovery mode so I'm kind of lost...

How do you do this? I assumed the only option was to use the back up I created.
Just go to recovery wipe/factory reset, wipe cache, then under mounts format storage

3 button combo for download mode I think or use a jig. Find the oem files. Odin back to factory stock and start from scratch.

Get it into download mode, and flash a newer recovery with Odin. Then flash any rom with the newer recovery. And don't use ROM manager until you know a bit more of what you're doing.

Do you have a newer recovery suggestion? Perhaps a link?
I use twrp recovery and I have yet to have issue flashing any rom.start from scratch like they told u a few post up. Follow the directions to the T and you will be fine.
Here are the two links that helped me solve my issue...Ty everyone for your help, maybe this will help someone else one day when they mess up.
How to properly flash your phone- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030243

Ok, i'm not a noob (at least i don't think so),
I've flashed every which rom before to play with, no problems ever.
Currently i'm on CM10 Nightly, with stock CM10 kernel and last ATT Modem (JB)
Wanted to go and try out the TW official release but need to stay rooted for TB.
I got CWM - cleared cache, cleared data, cleared davlik, formated /system /data /cache /sdcard
Went to download mode, kicked off ODIN
phone reboots and gets stuck at Samsung glowing loader
Tried above with TeamWin recovery - same thing
Tried to dirty flash over CM10 - same thing.
Tried to flash cache/davlik/ etcc with CM10 installed and flash with Odin, same thing.
Tried even all above steps with stock / unrooted JB rom, same thing.
Re-downloaded both stock and rooted roms and tried all of the above steps, same thing.
I can Nandroid back to CM10 no problem and it loads with no issues....
I'm about to give up on TW but just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas what am i missing?
Try reinstalling the samsung usb drivers. Seems like something went wrong while flashing from ODIN...

After flashing the rom you need to do a factory reset in recovery
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Whenever it gets stuck, hold down the power button, up volume, and home key... Once shut off let go do the same, when you feel it vibrate, let off the power button and hold up and home key. It should reboot into recovery and you can do a factory reset to wipe your data. wipe Data/factory rest and wipe cache, then reboot. Mine booted right up. :good:
Someone else's post that I saved for myself on note pad for when it happens to me so I don't forget

Not working for me.
I'm stuck at Samsung Logo.
Tried to do the factory reset in stock recovery that's loaded after ROM install with Odin, no go.
Installed CWM recovery and tried to do reset / wipe cache/ wiped davlik/ no go
Tried to re-download ROM and tried again, no go.
Tried to load TeamWin recovery and do the same thing no go.
Still stuck at Samsung logo -
Waited good 15 20 min and still stuck
sorry i am at a loss
Try downloading a different version of tw stock rom.
It could most likely be because the original one you downloaded in corrupted or a incomplete file.

I played around with a few Roms and decided I wanted to go back to stock and unroot.
I've downloaded and installed the rogers stock rom, reset the counter with triangle away, but I'm still getting a "device has been modified" error when checking for updates.
I've read countless threads but I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do, I wasn't able to find a guide with the proper files for my phone/carrier

Here is I thread on stock root injected .tar's. This is for odin .... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004650
Alright, hey guys. I'm experiencing something i've never experienced before. My phone is stuck at the splash screen, in my case the Ktoosez KT747 splash screen. I have no idea what caused this, but i suspect it's an app. I've tried going into CWM and factory/data reset but my phone just reboots itself after being stuck on formatting /data. I(was) running Illusion v2.1(the latest) i think, and KT747 with TKMod installed. Here's where i start panicking, i tried to restore a backup i made about a week ago, but the also rebooted my phone. I was able to reflash Illusion v2.1 & 130301 GApps, but my phone still hangs at the splash screen, this time being the Illusion 4.2.2 splash screen. So i suspect it has something to do with my apps maybe, since i can't factory reset, i can't seem to get rid of this problem. Any help is appreciated, and if you need more info, i will gladly oblige! I really need this device to work.

Alright ODIN finished and it says PASSED. But my phone is hanging at the "Samsung Galaxy SIII" stock splash screen. :/
Now factory reset in stock recovery. This will wipe interal sd, so if thats a problem you can try cwm or twrp again if you want.
