Uh look in the epic touch forum?

Ask somebody with a skyrocket to send you their framework-res file and pull out the png files.

If there is a sky rocket forum can't u just go and search for a stock rom or a rom with the icons u want and download it and extract them from the zip and use themm?

[Q] CM7 Themes

I just want to know if I made a CM7 theme that worked with theme changer would I be able to upload it to the market and anyone who has CM7.2 could use it? So basically I want to know how to make a theme that could be used on any CM7.

Would it be okay to move this to the general section...? I think I'll get a little more help over there.. I'll let it sit around here a little longer though.

No this is a question... thus q&a general is for general new and things... not questions.
But themes for cm7 are much more difficult... it requires you building your own application or taking apart one and replacing it with your themes... but even then for things to work you need to edit xml's. Put basically you have to know how to make an application.

Exactly this. Google how to make a theme for CM7 theme changer and most of the links tel you to edit someone elses apk.

Well thank you =).
And what about just theming the template of it and making it as a flashable zip? Would that be the same making a theme for TW?

Yes... but that means people must keep it on system default and can't run any other theme... otherwise there will be conflicts... its more useful to make a theme apk for the theme engine... than make flashables as flashable replace the UI and OS but the apk mends them or morphs them... which has less conflict.

I've looked into one of the theme apks and I don't see all of the images I wanted to change. There's only like one folder that has most of the major images but I didn't see a lot of what I wanted.

Cm9 theme template?

Any one have one
I want the that will work the cm9 theme changer
Which I guess would be the apk
I have the theme mostly thought out with many of the pngs done and saved to Dropbox this time
So no broken computer should stop me this time

Just download a theme Chooser app that's free like one of the holo theme apps. Then decompile and theme them. That's what most do.

If you download from the market, will the apks still work being pulled from from data/app?
