Good video man...that just confirm that our Nexus is a bad ass phone lol...

Damn just finished reading the comments and its not running on max settings like it does on the Nexus 7.but on the N7 its not smooth as the N4 is.I think the N4 could run on max settings while still running this smooth.

Graphics
Anyone got any idea how to enable the max graphics? I don't even have the game yet, but I'm POSITIVE the Nexus 4 can handle full graphics at above 30 FPS. It's GPU is nearly 3x more powerful than the Tegra 3 one.

Can't wait till more people purchase it for multiplayer. I can't wait to pick up a controller and get it to work with this game. I haven't played it much, but so far its good.

Chainfire 3D is the only way as far as I know... unfortunately Gameloft is terrible at optimizing their games, the N7 runs at full effects even though it has a GPU less than half as powerful as the N4.

Ugly Gingerbread loading bar @ 1:06! Other than that, looks pretty awesome

Is the Chainfire 3D app even still maintained? I thought it had stopped getting updated over a year ago.

does it work with the ps3 gamepad?

But it still works? I'm currently running the CM10.1 nightlies (rock solid stable for me), and all I want to be able to do is play my THD/Tegra games I already bought for my Transformer Prime.

It's not compatible with 4.0 or Jelly Bean according to the description of the app.

I just tested Chainfire 3D (granted, on a different device, but that should not make a difference) and it did not enable the higher effects (as it didn't with MC3, either, and both are developed by Gameloft Montreal, I suppose this makes sense). So... there's no real way to enable the high graphics.
Gameloft disabled the effects for a reason... they don't know how to optimize their stuff for most GPUs, so with all effects enabled, I bet it lagged in their testing.

could you guys not just change the model in the build prop on the nexus 4 to that of nexus 7 ?

Does anyone know if the deviceconfig.xml trick works for MC4?

Anyone know if I should get the moga control or ps3 one? I already bought the six axis app a while back.. Any suggestions? Thanks

Shooter with solid online multiplayer?

I've tried Modern Combat 3 and NOVA 3 and neither were very good. Critical Strike is alright but somewhat lacks polish. Does anyone know a good online CoD/Halo style shooter for the N7?

For me the sensitivity on MC3 cant go high enough. But the overall smoothness of the game is great.
I think nova 3 needs a good update for the nexus 7. The frame rate is not a good as it was on my galaxy nexus.
Still though these are two very good games and i dont think the OP will not find any better cod/halo like online shooters.

MC3 seems to be the best out of all of them I suppose, I just have a problem where the game keeps disconnecting even when sitting in the same room as my router. NOVA 3 needs an update to fix the frame rate on the Nexus 7, and Critical Strike lacks the polish of the other two games.

I really enjoy Order and Chaos and Heroes Call (rpgs)
Delver and Deadly Dungeons are old school FPSs.

Useless and very laggy on Nexus 7 (and other tegra 3 devices) because nvidia's GPU sucks. I don't understand why nvidia has not switched to tile based rendering.
These games perform much MUCH better on my old Galaxy S2 with the Mali400 gpu.
Sorry for the rant post, it's just that the nexus 7 is my first device with tegra SoC, and I'm very disappointed in its graphics performance.

Last I checked Google Play allows returns within 15 minutes of purchase, in case it doesn't and you have the misfortune of finding out first hand.
it does but id reccomend using m kernel to help boost performance, definetly is not optimized for tegra 3
works fine for me!
Lag made it unplayable for me - so I uninstalled it.
Willing to wait for a Tegra 3 version.
its not laggy well certainly after the first mission

You'll be waiting till the end of the world bud.. thats never coming. Lameloft doesnt optimize their games. I tested it once and it was laggy to the point of unplay-ability. But i got it for 10cents
I have modern combat 3 and dead space.....when you then play nova 3 you notice the difference. It played better on my evo 3d!.......I'm running smoothrom and motleys kernel on me nexus 7

I've played about an hour of it and at two points I experienced lag once was about 20-30 seconds of really stuttering unplayable lag but it passes, the second was only a couple of small stutters, it didn't really effect play much.
I have flashed faux123's kernel. I don't know how much of a difference that will make to game play just thought I'd mention it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I beat it, there is some lag when a lot of enemies are in the screen. I usually restated before playing. 95% of the time it was fine for me. Your milage may vary.
Thought that Nova 2 was a much more interesting single player campaign.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda app-developers app
Yeah it works but its $hit.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I redownloaded it for testing. And it still runs like poop. It lags every time a few enemies populate. Which is the whole premise of the game... Making it completely unplayable. Used fps meter and the average fps was 20.. Which would be nice... But that's not constant. Once enemies are done it shoots up to 35fps.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Its runs OK 2-3/5 stars I would rate it.
DO NOT USE THE GYROSCOPE. It is terribly inaccurate and slow, and make it lag even worse.

Why does Order and Chaos Online play smoother on my phone than on my Nexus 7?

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone and Order and Chaos Online plays very well, but when I play it on my Nexus 7 Tablet it lags and the draw distance is horrible. Does anyone know why this is and is there a fix for the lag? Is there a rom and kernel combo that runs games better than rooted stock?

AW: Why does Order and Chaos Online play smoother on my phone than on my Nexus 7?
I bet it has something to do with tegra (;
I was warned before my purchase that Gameloft games MAY not work good with this device.. Never touched a GL game though..
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Its Gameloft.
Order and Chaos worked brilliantly on my Tegra 2 Transformer with a hacked apk from a Motorola Xoom. After every update they killed the patch work. Once it got official support, it sucks.
Same on N7. Pretty sad.
I know it can play much better and if you warez it, it plays great. I've purchased the game 3 times. At this point I think I'm entitled to make it play any way I can.
At the end of the day it is just a train wreck company that doesn't code well for Tegras. Whatever they do to Tegra games is bad.
The game is playable though so just enjoy it.

AW: Why does Order and Chaos Online play smoother on my phone than on my Nexus 7?
Maybe 4.2.2 will increase the performance, people claim that gaming is better in the new version
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
It sucks on N7. Choppy gameplay, unregistered touches... horrible.
tegra 3 is a weak SoC. something we nexus 7 owners must learn to accept
The weak spot of the Tegra 3 is the fill rate due to slow RAM. This is also why GPU over clocking barely increases FPS.
The powervrs in iOS devices on the other hand excel here.
Gameloft designs games for iOS and the GS3 only.
Therefore, the powervr in your GNex runs Gameloft games better that the Tegra 3.
The T3 is a great GPU for being over a year old. The problem is you have to work around this slow RAM, something Gameloft isn't willing to do... Unlike mad finger for example.
In the T4 Nvidia has realized its mistake and added dual channel faster RAM which is partly why the GPU performance is much better.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I face similar problems, its smooth on my iphone 5 and lags like hell on my nexus 10. Is the android version bad?? =\
I think it's a tegra thing. It's much better on my note 10.1 with android 4.1 then nexus. On nexus I get ghosting terrible worse then on note.
It's Kewl game would be in it more if not for lag. And it's a shame it's great game play. And I paid the yearly subscription.
