V1.3 can be found here
Please note: I am NOT the original creator of this ROM, this ROM was originally made by Civato, and as a result, he deserves all the credit for it. All I did was modify a few things in order to make it work and display a little better on our A100.
The original ROM was called RE-FLEXxx-ShellSHOCK and is based on This thread . If you happen to like this ROM make sure you hit up his thanks button, or better yet, send him a donation.
Some Features:
- Bits and pieces taken from Android 4.0.4 and 4.1 (mainly based on 4.0.4) off of ROMS from the Acer A500 and A700.
- Boatloads of scripts and tweaks for performance
- Acer features like the Acer Ring (WIP), Acer Print, and Dolby Mobile
- Most of the bloatware removed
- godmachine kernel pre-overclocked at 1.2GHZ. If you want to change that you will need an app for it.
- Google Now with functional TTS for other apps
- nice and fancy notification screen (taken from the A700)
- lots more
- Capacitive home button now launches google now or long press for Google Voice Search
-modified font and softkeys for unique UI
-Awesome BEATS
-Entropy Seeder 2.0
-LMT launcher (sort of like PIE for Paranoid Android)
For more information, you can check out his thread for his A500 here. Keep in mind that the more updates I do, the more it differs from that thread
DISCLAIMER: I will not be held responsible if this borks your system! Remember the risks of flashing custom ROMS!
Instructions:
Make sure you do a FULL NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING
Also make sure you do a COMPLETE WIPE (Data/Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and format flexrom)
Install ZIP from your SD card (or wherever you downloaded it to)
Reboot!
BUGS/QUIRKS:
1) Although the lockscreen is 100% functional, you might notice that it looks a little funny when swiping to unlock.
2) It has come to my attention that headset microphones don't work on this ROM. I don't know if it is as of the last update or it has been a persistent issue. A way to temporary solve this is to download an app from the Play store called "soundabout" In this app, there is an option where you can force the microphone to work from the device, even when a headset is plugged in.
If there is anything else, please let me know!
One other thing I would like to note, is that it seems that the "touchscreen issue" is much less apparent with this ROM. Perhaps some people who commonly have that problem can provide feedback on this.

Initial Release
Does this mean that the original KEBBERSROM is discontinued in favor of this one?
I still have at least one update in store for the original kebbersrom, and likely more, but I'm thinking of keeping it a stockish rom and perhaps be editing this one more and making it less stock like because of all the awesome additions already made to it.

Nice ROM
I have RE-FLEXxx-ShellSHOCK on my 500 and I'm glad that someone has made it available for the 100. Kudos to Civato and hardslog!

Nice m8, good job!
About Acer ring on A100, don't use the Jellybean ring , use the other one from the ICS rom.(1.0 acerring version)
Then make the outerring (not possible in the JB ring) transparent. That will make the outer ring disappear and you will get only the innerring with icons and the volume slider. This will be shown correctly.
Unpack the Acerring apk with winrar (or decompile but for a image mod like this it is not needed) , and in drawable you make "outter_ring.png" 100% transparent.(with a image tool)
Thanks for the advice Civato, I'll definitely give that a try and we will see what happens! I have a decent idea on the acerring, because I have been fiddling around with the old ICS one on my other ROM and almost have that to my liking.
In terms of the lockscreen issue that was there before, it turns out that it wasn't a screen resolution issue, it was actually an icon issue. It was missing one of the drawable folders for the unlock icons that I saw in the framework-res.apk of the A100 roms, so I added it in and boom, the lockscreen came back (although the unlock animations are still a bit funny looking, but it's fully working).
Bug report: front facing camera is inverted.

Download attachment and flash with cwm.
@ Hardslog , if this works just extract the patch and put the lib file in the rom ; system/lib
I'll try asap.
Edit: fixed, thanks civato!

Civato is the man. That file fixed the camera. I'll have it included in the next update!

Have you found out where the animations are located within the framework-res.apk... more so if they're in their own folder within the apk?

To be honest I haven't looked into it yet. All the animations are there. You will only notice the funny animation if you press on the unlock button without "swiping" it. You will see the lock icon move to the right of the screen. All the other animations work properly and the lockscreen is fully functional so it hasn't exactly been on the top of my priority list.
Update: Kebbersrom_shellshock v1.1
Released a minor update that fixes the Acer Ring layout as well as the camera upside down bug. Thanks again to Civato for helping in doing this.
I might be releasing some CWM zips to change the capacitive home button. I changed it to google now/voice search but I'm sure some people won't like it.
Dumb question but is it okay for me to flash this over 1.0 or should I do a clean wipe and install?
You probably can, but make sure you do a nandroid backup first in case something goes wrong. Alternatively, I actually wiped everything first (including Flexrom) and flashed the new version, then went into backup and restore, and advanced restore, restored data. This was in CWM. That brought everything back I had in V1.0

You should fix that

Fine then I will!
Attached are CWM zips for capacitive home button. I think they are fairly self-explanatory. One will make it the home button that it is meant for, one will disable it for those who don't like it, and the third will allow it to launch Google Now, as per this ROM's default.
All you need to do is download them, place them onto your device and then flash with CWM. There is no need to wipe anything before flashing. Just flash and reboot. I tested them all and they are working fine for me. You might want to do a backup first though, just to be on the safe side.

This is a feedback a question or help for solution for the rom "BHS Roms|Mixer B3+BHS Themed RC4 |Source ICS|CAMERA+Dual Pane|8.8B7" from synergye
I use a DHD and downloaded the BHS Mixer (UnThemed) BETA 3 of the rom with the Dual Pane.zip and the EVToolbox fix also.
Everything works perfect - including the camera - So thank you Synergye for that.
But when i go to the app drawer and get back to the desktop pane the widgets and apps seems to have disappeared temporarily. I have to go back to the app drawer once again and return to see them in each page. I am sure there is a fix for this too without screwing up the ones that work already.
Moreover the Facebook status updates won't work for me - this could be a FB issues. But im hoping there would be some good fix for this too if this is a ROM issue.
Shall follow that thread separately to see if a fix is around.

Firstly, thanks for the positive review!
The app short cuts disappearing have to do with a recent commit of nebkat (trebuchet maintainer). Push menu at home screen, trebuchet settings, then home screen. Check and uncheck "fade side pages," or leave checked if you want it on and app shortcuts will stay. This is now fixed in his source and will be in today's build.
As far as Facebook goes, I'm unsure about the status updates, however I did just realize I broke contacts synching. If that is connected(would make sense, due to being the only Facebook commit which has been accidentally reverted) it will also be fixed in today's build since I just switched contactsprovider back to CM from AOSP.
Edit: for glitch free photos, take in landscape, or use flash.

Thanks a ton for the response. Im following the original thread and will hope there is a fix soon for the calendar issue too.Im unable to add the google (or) the facebook calendar as i used to do earlier.
The fade pages deselection worked well as i am on the RC mixed (Unthemed) beta 3.
Any improvements can be expected on the camera front in the near future ? As you must be aware that HTC DHD has a wonderful camera which when exposed to right tool like Camera 360 was a boon to photographers like me.
Have a wonderful birthday too !!
Hi,
Im currently on the RC 9 unthemed, the camera works fine in landscape mode and i love the new ROM control tweaks and the option to change Carrier label. But i have a few concerns which i hope you would keep in mind while building the next RC :
1. Camera glitch in Portrait mode
2. Speed is a bit of issue - although not major. It used to be faster in responsiveness but kinda lags a bit
3. Image viewer/Gallery - Can you embed a better package ?? It is not great for those who have lot of images and folders/albums.
4. Would love to see the keypads shine for telephone dial in !! Am i asking too much already
Thanks in advance.
This post is for the AOKP ROM from the Desire Z section
Another port from me. I would like to give thanks to the following:
-adamz667 - his ROM is used here. thanks to him for letting me port it! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642443
-blackwing182 - used his ROM as a base, thank you for that
-Synthetic.nightmare - for helping me get wifi working and for the kernel, creamed coconut and frosted cherry
-Mr.Highway - for his port guide. you guys should use it and give him thanks
-all the other devs that helped me (you know who you are )
I wont be concentrating on this ROM as much as the CM9 one. do not expect me to solve all problems. thank you.
this is mainly for those who wanted nav buttons in a ROM. my CM9 port doesnt have it, but this AOKP one does, so should be fine. its a bit more buggy than the cm9 one, but should be alright for daily use
now onto the ROM:

a note about linaro (warning, tech mumbo jumbo ahead)
These builds do NOT include the new Linaro optimizations. The optimizations don't increase the speed of Android by 100%, nor do they inject butter. They use a newer toolchain to compile Android, which has more optimizations. The Linaro people have also made the proper changes in Android code to allow builds to be compiled with -O3 instead of -O2 flags (think of it as another pass of code optimizations).
Please do not ask us whether we will include them in the future. We like speed as much as the next guy, but we want to make sure that it doesn't break ANYTHING. When/if it's ready, you'll know.

use the above quote for some info. for fixing, dont expect me to be able to fix all things
other things that work specifically for the myTouch 4G:
-wifi, bluetooth, gps, etc.
-trackpad wake
-camcorder: can record in 480p, CIF, and QVGA mode. DO NOT record in 720p mode or it will cause the camera to crash and not load. only fix will be to reboot your phone, so be careful. FFC records as well, only in CIF or QVGA mode.
-camera flash works fine
-nav buttons are in! if you want tablet mode ui*, see above quote. also, nav buttons require a special DPI, so see above. *tablet mode may not work for our phone, since this is a port. if it does work, thats good! whoever wants to test it, be my guest. also nav buttons are buggy. the glow doesnt disappear
-idk if netflix works, so tell me please <- confirmed it works by one person so far
-instagram works
-temple run loads, and i was able to play it. could represent that all games are playable, not too sure
-editing phone number is included out of the box. just flash, and its there
bugs:
-i do not know if themes work well with build 38. test out please
-please tell me
-do not flash wifi calling fix right after flashing the ROM. flash the ROM and everything else EXCEPT the wifi calling. after it boots up, then you can go ahead and flash wifi calling
-SMS notification not showing, so here's a fix: get the cm9 mms.apk and replace the aokp one
Instructions:
1. wipe data, system, etc.
2. flash ROM
3. flash gapps (http://goo.im/gapps - use/download CM9 one if you do not already have it)
4. flash AOKP port from Vision FFC fix v2
for updates, make sure to flash the files mentioned above. also, i do not think a full wipe is needed, but if problems arise, then full wipe. thanks
Optional:
1. flash a different kernel (link down below)
2. flash ICS BW Emoji for some black and white emoji in the system! cant send with emojis though
3. flash AOKP port HDPI Mms NewLine mod (or whatever name it is) - pressing enter will create a new line in text message (its in AOKP extras in dev host)
link to ROM & required files: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory/?fld_id=2739#files - Milestone 6 (latest)

link to extras: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory (do not flash speakerfix. thats may be only for cm9)
one more thanks: thanks to all of you, community! enjoy the ROM port

[ROM][PORT][AOKP]blindICE/blindBEAN port
This post is the blindICE/AOKP Jellybean
*i do recommend the above port, since it has mostly everything working. theyre practically the same thing (to me), but i could be wrong. anyone can tell me the differences would be good
First off I would like to thank the following:
-blindndumb - for letting me port the ROM http://www.blindndumb.com/
-blackwing182 - for letting me use his ROM
-elginsk8r: for the kernel
-shrome99
-aaraya1516: for his never ending help in compiling the kernel and files for me. thank you!!
-synthetic.nightmare - for his help in wifi, bluetooth, etc. and for the kernel, creamed coconut and frosted cherry
-Mr.Highway - for his porting guide
-the other devs
-my testers: jamkul and exemp30
This ROM was a request from a user, so I made it for him and sharing it with you all
what works (blindICE only):
-camera and camcorder (480p and below for back camera; FFC: CIF or QVGA)
-the main things
bugs (blindICE only):
-trackpad isnt fully working. can only scroll, but cannot click an app or whatever
-you tell me
-be sure to flash another kernel. the wifi will not work. i must have messed up on the kernel for the ROM. without flashing another kernel, wifi wont work
-do not flash wifi calling fix right after flashing the ROM. flash the ROM and everything else EXCEPT the wifi calling. after it boots up, then you can go ahead and flash wifi calling
-SMS notification not showing, so here's a fix (or do not check this setting): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28438030&postcount=136
-this is more of an AOKP bug: top left hand corner of notification pulldown, date is not present. only way to fix this is to enable weather and enable weather panel
Instructions (blindICE only):
1. wipe data, system, etc
2. flash ROM
3. flash gapps
4. flash blindICE FFC v2 fix
5. flash blindICE trackpad fix
6. flash a different kernel (resolves the bootloop problems everyone has been having with my ports)
*steps 4-6 do not have to be in order
Optional(blindICE only):
1. flash wificalling rilfix
2. test: flash Phone.apk only for AOKP to change phone number under phone settings
3. test: for SIP calls, try adb push the android.software.sip.voip.xml file in my dev host to /system/etc/permissions
4. flash the ICS BW emoji file to have black and white emojis across the system (where supported)

Hmmm...either the lordmod or aospx one since both have smartassv2 as the governor. That's a good governor for a balance of performance and battery life. But if you want many governors to choose from, use aospx

Thanks. I am gonna try it and I will tell you my feedback about the ROM and the kernels.
I had a FCC when I wanted to switch to frontal camera and now I can not start the camera .It says "Unfortunately , Camera has stopped"

Also clear camera data if you cannot start camera. If that doesn't work, reboot

Note2 Gallery. The install script will delete the data from the gallery and media storage so it will work when you re-boot without any extra effort.
Couple things I should mention...
1. If you have a lot of music with album art... you can hide stuff in the gallery. I warn you if you hide your album art it will also hide your music from all music players.
2. I did not include the camera... it's not much of an upgrade and it doesn't work fully anyway. I tried, believe me. Stock camera works fine with the new gallery. If you want it, it's around you can find it.

<CscFeature_Setting_DisableMenuFindMyMobile>[COLOR=Blue]true[/COLOR]</CscFeature_Setting_DisableMenuFindMyMobile>
Known Issues:
23 Toggles: Some Toggles like NFC don't toggle. But Long press the Toggles it will take you to that setting.
Ink Effect: Screen will sometimes flash the selected color.

*Give it time to settle
Made by me using DSIXDA Kitchen...
Thanks to all XDA members for the wealth of knowledge posted on these forums! :good:
So with keeping the spirit of XDA... Sharing is Caring
Anyone can do anything they want with any MOD/ROM. I don't care, Make Sure You Thank and I get credit with a link to my thread.
If you can click the download link, you can click the THANKS button too. It's free and fun, it also shows us how much you care! :good:
Important:
1. If installing with the newest TWRP when you go to reboot it will come up with an warning that you have lost root permissions... This is not the case. It's either a bug with TWRP or it's not recognizing the new SuperSU. Either way it will give you an option to fix it. If you select "Do not fix" you will be just fine and you will indeed have a rooted phone. I suggest "Do not fix"
2. On a clean install the SystemUI will probably Force Close upon first boot. No worries, it will only do it once. This happens because of the clock mod and the automatic network time setting not syncing right away.
3. I suggest you reflash the new kernel package found below as adb root has been fixed. Seems the kitchen did not give proper root through adb support.
Important: As always I recommend a full wipe. *Dirty Flashing is OK*
If you experience any problems you must complete a full wipe before posting any issues.
NO WIPE = NO SUPPORT. YOU'VE BEEN TOLD!

Tips, Tricks and FAQ's
Importatnt: Remember that after flahing a new ROM that it will take a few days to see optimum results. Understand you just restored a bunch of data setting your phone up... I bet most of you do this right away... Shame on you. My suggestion is after flashing the new ROM please wait about 5-10 min at the start screen... let the phone catch a signal and let settle down for a few. After finishing the first start setup... please let it sit a few more minutes... let the phone be cool to the touch (mine gets pretty warm after doing a nandroid and a new flash) the scripts will load and the cache files will build and everything will be ready for you to begin restoring all your apps
GPS:
GPS not locking: Unfortunately This is going to happen to some when coming from AOSP based ROMs and other carrier ports.
A couple common fixes include...
1. Returning to the stock ROM via ODIN, acquire a GPS lock then reboot into Recovery.. Wipe and Flash new ROM.I recommend trying Chainfire's MOBILE ODIN first before the desktop version, it's really easy to use and it's free to XDA users HERE.
You can flash an ODIN package right from your phone and still retain your custom recovery, simply exclude it from the list of partitions to flash.
It will also inject ROOT if the ODIN package does not already have it... makes things really simple.2. Restoring a nandroid of a TouchWiz ROM with a known working GPS status, make sure all location services are enables and can obtain a GPS lock. (go to additional steps now if needed) Reboot, Wipe and Flash New ROM...Additional steps if required before flashing new ROM:
Backup your internal storage and take out your sd-card now... just in case stuff gets deleted. Do a Factory Reset form within the restored TW nandroid. Reboot... Skip all the setup stuff... acquire a GPS lock again... Reboot into recovery Wipe and Flash the new ROM.3. Flash back to the AOSP ROM you were just on. Obtain a GPS lock, then reinstall ROM again and see if GPS works
4. Repeat until one of the options ends up working... Not much else to tell you to try. Good luck!
============================================================================================================================
GPS and Location Services: If you have Google Maps installed and Google Now, you will notice Maps uses your location services a lot during the day. Apparently Google thinks we need our location tracked 24/7. Turning GPS on only when needed will help eliminate the wakelocks created by maps. Going a step further you may also want to disable the "Use Network Location", This will also stop other apps form getting your location... Most apps will let you enter your location manually so it's not really a big deal turning it off, especially when your talking about increasing your battery life.
Li-ion Batteries:
First of all I think there are a lot of misconseptions about Li-ion Batteries vs. there Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd counterparts. A lot of good information can be found here http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries.
Short story is Li-ion batteries like to be fully charged. And will give you the best performance when they are fully charged. Continuously discharging your battery till it almost dies everyday is actually hurting it. So if you want your battery to last a long time please charge it and don't worry about how long or how much screen time you can get on a single charge... your killing your battery. And continuously discharging to 0 you will get fewer charge cycles before the capacity of your battery drops. Li-ion batteries do not suffer from the dreaded memory effect like Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd, but they do wear out overtime due to varies conditions.... Li-ion batteries work by ions moving between positive and negative electrodes that are sandwiched between a thin membrane. Where as the Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd work by a chemical reaction between two metals and a catalyst. Over time the metals crystallize during charging and cause what we call the Memory Effect. Li-ion batteries have a longer life span and will keep there rated capacity longer over more charge cycles, this is why they use them.
Another thing is... calibrating your battery is total B.S. The battery your phone came with is smart. It has it's own little micro controller that regulates itself, during charging and use. During normal charging and uses the system and battery will normalize themselves.

Can't wait, thanks! Quick question for those who know more about this stuff than I do.... will both of these work with this ROM? I'm assuming so, they both work with Serenity 1.2 which is 4.1.1 JB on an official Samsung TouchWiz ROM, but wanted to make sure before doing anything crazy!

You should be ok with both of those (kernel and theme), but as always recommended - make a Nandroid!

Actually the mod he's referring to contains not only the theme but the actual modded systemui.apk and other files needed to actually add the 23 (also the original 15 is available as well) toggle to the base ROM as well as the theme itself.

Gotcha. Try it, whats the worst that can happen...it wont boot, have to re-flash ROM or nandroid not a big deal.
It should work just fine though as that mod is based on stock.

I am using the AT&T version with 23 toggles, stock battery and stock green color. The theme works great for me..
updated my modem to UCDLK3 and flashed...working great. even put the 23 toggle mod and all seems fine!
Thanks for the ROM.
Coming from Serenity 1.2 ... want to see how battery life is on official stock...was getting 12-15 hours on Serenity.:good:
In case anyone had the same quirk I was having with both the water effect AND stock JB lock / unlock sounds going off, just navigate to system/media/audio/ui and change the following two items:
TW_Unlock_Glass.ogg to TW_Unlock_Glass.BAK
TW_Unlock_Puzzle.ogg to TW_Unlock_Puzzle.BAK
Works as it did before on stock TouchWiz
Also, glad to say that my worries over the kernel and theme in the 2nd post were for naught, everything works fine so far, flash away! Hell, Wallet even works as it should.... Still have to get all the 4.2 GApps on it though, but it's working well so far!
@enewman17
Thanks a ton for your flash, I've been hoping someone would post one.
But I have a question, our of all the flashable mods you posted, which ones did you use?
I want to start with everything stock before I start doing my own thing with it. But before I just start replacing files I need to know which ones you already put in.
Thanks.
Prolly a dumb question but will your mods work on original odexed with root?

I don't think so, and if they do you would need to delete the odex file before flash and wipe both cache and dalvik. I wouldn't try it. I'd just nandroid and try a deodexed ROM.

Only place I've seen the AT&T text is on the bottom of the notification shade when you pull it down from the notification bar.... it doesn't show up on the top left of the notification bar or in the upper left area of the notification shade either, on mine at least
this comes to you thanks to 1ceb0x and rukin. Both great devs. These are 1ceb0x's builds for GSM, cdma-ified. You should hit up their original threads here:
1ceb0x's thread
Rukin's thread
Also a giant thanks to Curiousn00b, who fixed the videocam recording issue. Please thank him!
1ceb0x was nice enough to let me bring this to you, so keep it civil in here guys. Bugs will be the exact same as his builds, i just cdma-ified them so we can enjoy them too. New build is coming as i type this, now we will be on par with 1ceb0x's gsm builds.
Leave me bugreports if things dont work. Logcats and a description of the problem are helpful. All bugs will be present in both 1ce's gsm build and my cdma build from him.

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of it.

Hybrid mode is the heart and soul of paranoidandroid. Forget tablet mode or build.prop changes! Hybrid mode will not break your phone, your apps, your market, nothing will shrink or become unusable. Entire parts of AOSP have been rewritten to make this possible, you will not get anything like it anywhere, this is the only rom on Android capable of these things.
Hybrid mode means you can control the size and the actual layout of any app individually. Keep in mind, apps bring their own layouts, they will display according to your device. That’s why apps like gmail, settings, youtube, camera, chrome, etc., transform completely when you run them on a tablet. This rom allows you to choose whatever layout you like best, we don’t fool around with DPI, we extract the actual layouts from your apk’s and you select them with a tap. Apply and you’re done. No reboot necessary. You can target anything: apps, system components, widgets, launchers, keyboards, statusbars, lockscreen, etc.
Finetune your workspace or apply hybrid settings to all your apps if you don’t like to set them up individually. Individual settings will still override this so you can still get the look you want.
For ease of use you can access hybrid properties in your recents view, this will allow you to quickly review changes. Basic things like recents, toggles, etc. have been made usable across all UI modes.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

i just installed this, full wipe-cache, dalvik, system, data. I'm using simon's SuperSick kernel version 1.1(get better battery life with that one). I keep getting a force close on the camera when trying to open it. Also, the Hwa settings force closes on boot and when I try to open it. Aside from that issue, love speed and smoothness.
Thanks for your replys guys. I'll be working on 1ce's newest update soon which solves a lot more stuff. Not sure why the cam isn't working right, hopefully the next version works OK.
You can use a 3rd party camera app from Google play like camera ICS. It should solve problems till I update.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Looking forward to the update. i tried camera ICS and get the same force close. The other camera apps I've tried, Camera FX, Line Camera, Camera MX, all lock the home screen in landscape mode unless you uncheck autorotate. Hopefully you can fix the issue. Thanks for porting this to our device.
forgot to add, its hard for me to get things going on the weekends, my phone is mission critical all weekend. during the week, i dont need to field any calls, so im going to start the next port today and get it all tested out. hopefully it should be ready before mid week, please dont hold me to that though.
ill make sure the next port has all the camera issues solved, i was looking through 1ce's work over on the gsm side, and they dont seem to be having the issue (or nobody is talking about it lol) so it should be easy to fix.
thanks for being patient guys!
Thanks for the work, no rush. I know you devs donate your time and effort to bring the rest of us these ROMs.
I realize you have a life and will take the updates as they come.
Edit: You may want to check with rukin about the camera. I think he got both camera and video recording working on aokp for primoc.
thanks riggerman. i owe you a thanks, im out for the day. :good:
Ninja edit: new January 3rd build uploading now. Camera works for me, camcorder still fcs like every other jb build we have. Apps in the market can give you video recording. Hwa settings still fcs, ignore it or remove the apk from /system/app if you would like. Link will be in 2nd post again. Happy hacking!
edit 2: new build posted in 2nd post. THANKS TO 1ceb0x for this.
HWA Settings turned out to be a Kernel problem. You could remove that.
And why does Camera recording not work? Its works 100% for me?
Sent from my One V using Tapatalk 2
Please clue me in to what your doing to have working video recording lol I've been in wondering how to get that working since I started running jb. Every jb ROM for me has fcs when I press the record button. 3rd party apps seem to work but I have never been able to get the one in the ROM to record. If you can help me get it working solid I'll give you credits in the op.
I'll delete the hwa settings also, probably the next update for that.
Also I'm giving you an text thanks since I'm out of them for the day.

Please share.....this ROM is running smoothly so far...
Just my hardware keys are not lit up is there a backlight setting I may have missed? Thanks once again for this....

Hei dude,
For HWA settings you need to do this in init.rc:
Code:
and in init.rc, you need to create the folder /data/local/hwui.deny and set his owner to system user
For cam recorder - i have no clue. maybe some libs that you need to change? what does the logcat say?
awesome that you have this up an running! i am glad that now the cdma side will benefit from this rom by using your work.
Everything is working great so far except for PA Settings. I can set between Phone, Phablet and Tablet UI but when I go to change the default sizes everything remains the same and none of the sliders work. Play store and a bunch of apps are at HUGE display sizes.
When I port the ROMs over, I don't change the sensor files or anything. Just APNs and Telephony part in build.prop.
Changing the name from PrimoU to C causes you to have to replace even more files. The phone will have PrimoU file but looking for C files which aren't there, so you'll have to add those in as well.
So I leave my phone as PrimoU. Not a big deal
Sent from my One V using Tapatalk 2
Ill have to mess around with stuff. There shouldn't be a difference between primou and primoc libs though, but I'll look at it more.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
The build.prop says Primoc, but files say Primou. Ckpv sent me a PM if where all the files are. Lemme find it.

Thanks for the info. Don't feel pushed to get it out as quick as possible. Remember we can wait. I don't want our last few devs to quit because we were too demanding (jmz & lloir)

I will be updating this as often as possible.
This thread is designed ONLY for the support of the T-999(V) Liquid Smooth rom.
For latest AOSP builds to flash you need to be on latest bootloader of d2tmo: T999UVDLJA, T999UVDLJC, T999UVDMD5 & T999VVLDLL1 for it to boot. In order to have the latest boot loader you need to update via ODIN or Over The Air. Here is CyanogenMOD stating so. YOU CAN CHECK WHICH BOOTLOADER YOURE ON BY DOWNLOADING TERMINAL EMULATOR FROM THE PLAY STORE AND ENTERING THESE THINGS:
su(ENTER)
getprop ro.bootloader(enter) edited from phone so excuse the errors and code usage
THIS THREAD IS NOT CREATED by The Liquid Team.
This thread is designed to help keep the dev thread clean and clear for the dev's to do their magic. So please, feel free to ask any questions about the ROM, but trolling and flaming will not give great results and will be reported. If you ignore to read this OP & 2nd post and ask questions that have been answered I most likely will ignore you, or be rude haha. Keep up to date with the ROM/recovery, meaning install the latest version of the ROM/and your recovery before reporting anything.
-The main Dev thread is located here
-GAPPS can be found here
-THE ROM downloads can be found here

Post your findings/fixes with your install procedure (what did you wipe, or no wipe at all), along with your Recovery version, your kernel and any mods you may have installed (most likely will be the issue at hand).
I'm not responsible nor are the Devs, for what to you do to your phones... go cry somewhere else.
If you want sympathy go look it up in the dictionary, it's between s**t and syphillis.
ACTUAL Q&A
Remember these guys take a lot of time out of their lives to do all this for free. They build the rom the way they want it, and they use it too. Be respectful, if you don't like the way it is or what they chose, then move on and use what you prefer.
Here is the Q&A part.
I am having troubles installing the Liquid Illusion rom: INSTALL PROCESS
Boot into recovery: From Power off
-Volume UP & Home button & Power Button at the same time! Hold until little vibrate and Blue text in top left corner, now you can release.
-wipe data\factory reset, cache, system.
-Install ROM
-Install GAPPS (Google APPS) Latest 13, Mar 01
-Boot & let sit for 5 minutes (lets cache and scripts run)
-Sign in to Google and if Restoring I feel it's best to let it sit and install all those apps before messing with the phone.
-Enjoy, or how some say it "PROFIT"
If dirty flashing from this rom and OP does not require a Dirty Flash
The recommended upgrade procedure should be:
-Backup/Nandroid - Optional
-Format /System - Should be automatically done
-Wipe cache
-Wipe Dalvik cache
-Install ROM
-Install GAPPS
-Reboot System
List of features
If they aren't new then... cool story lol. I'm gonna be so mad if the base changes again MIKE!!!!!!
Here is stuff for xposed settings and dpi and what not. I dont use any of this at all, but most like and love to tinker so I will leave it here for you guys.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Nightlys will have their own issues probably, and always. Now most common one is flickering, try a custom kernel that is built after 4-19.
In interface.
Notification img in landscape can be changed
Transparency can be adjusted to your liking
Notification shortcuts can be added from 4-16 of them
Recent Rambar is customizable
Vibration Multiplier is now here, able to lower/raise haptic feedback of capacitive buttons natively.
Lockscreen
Buttons this will allow while on the lock screen to hold one of the capacitive/physical buttons to complete an action ie: torch, or skip track.
a bunch of widget options for the lockscreen
change the transperency of the lock screen
Lock screen shortcuts
Have the option to have up to 8 targets in lockscreen slider
instead of just tapping on the lockscreen shorcuts you can set it to long press to open those.
PowerWidget is like the toggle mod in TouchWiz or older builds of AOSP
Quicksettings/4.2 Tiles
You can disable it altogether
Quick pulldown is the option to pull from left or right corners to immediately jump into quicksettngs
Tiles and Layout hold all the options availale
SatusBar
Brightness control (must have auto brightness unchecked) allows you to slide your finger left to right accross the status bar to adjust brightness extremely handy with this display vs sun light lol
Notification count, it shows a little blue number next to a notification if you have multiple ones.
Then you have your clock options (right and center) Battery icons, clock and date looks and such.
then color of the satus bar is changeable as well, all colors available (pretty much). You can change the transparency for launcher, launcher & Lockscreen, or all in all everywhere.
Display
CRT Screen options for on and off, off looks realy nice like a slight subtle dim.
Notification Light options are in here if you are new to CM LED.
Accessibility
I add this cause it is overlooked a lot.
magnification gestures (Takes three taps).
Large text optoin for those Gramps & Grams.
Power Button to end a call.
Home button answers a call.
Developer Options
Change transmissions/animations to .5 for warp speed.
kill app via back button.
NOW FOR SYSTEM APPS
Messaging
Group messaging is available (yes like the iPhone).
Privacy mode (obvious what that does).
Shop popup for incoming texts and quick reply is available.
One of those sought out features of making a call by putting phone to face while in the text thread of the party you wish to call, is available via Direct Call.
Messaging font size.
Currently Known bugs, work arounds, and suggestions/tips.
-A2DP (streaming music and phone calls) its fixed with 4.2.2 except for a couple of unhappy users.
-Video calls (Skype, Google Hangouts, Tango) Mixed reviews, sorry. I had low audio, some report that all is great though.
-Camera works all in all but NO PHOTOSPHERE. While taking an image with flash the image will show without flash, but it saves normally.
-Picasa sync does not work
Install this to have it work https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=larry.zou.colorfullife&hl=en
-Getting an error reading "cannot read /data/xposed/modules.whitelist", you need to go to System settings>Interface>DPI Installer>Install. It will stop the popup.
-CMFileExplorer http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1451113&d=1351866036
(with this app, go to settings>general settings>access mode>select root access mode> go back to main page get root by pressing "parent folder" over and over til you can't no more.)
-Battery!!!!!!
It will improve as the days go by, or get worse depending on what you do, NO one can tell how good battery is until at least 2 charges, so don't ask "how is battery" 6 hours after it is uploaded. Battery varies for every person, I don't play many games on my phone, Bike Race is the only one. I get 4 hours on screen time, and 12 hours of use. With MY light usage I get 1 day 16 hours with 2.5-3 hours screen on time. Everyone will have different results with their phones setup differently.
-Screen shot is done by Volume down and Power! Or by "power menu" settings>rom control>power menu>Select "Show ScreenShot" hold power button to view.
-"I don't see a 4g/H symbol" You may need to flash the latest radio from here to see it, you are getting your normal speeds regardless though. Here is the link to flashable modem List - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1860592
-Working Hex colors for notification light http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1890774
white, green, neon lime, blue, Samsung blue, Light blue/Cyan, red, yellow, orange, pink, pinksih, red-pink, purple. Look in the link for the Color code.
-THIS IS a Liquid rom with mods and CherryPicks from CM/AOKP and such!! SOME CM THINGS WILL NOT BE IN HERE, OTHERS WILL, it is the Devs' rom they will do to it as they please, but they do take requests just make sure it hasn't been asked for already, respect.
For the FUN and Customization stuff, some new some old.
all in settings

Here are some alternate kernels or OC/UV and some mods too.(OverClock and UnderVolt)
These are not supported by the Dev (although he does like Ktoonsez! I like it too mostly for the option to lower Haptic Feedback.) If you are going to report something make sure you state what kernel you are on to help us out.

Install them via theme chooser
4.2 camera with PhotoSphere http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966426
Will have some bugs though, tap screen to focus before taking a photo or it may crash on you.
4.2 AOSP Modded Camera http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746611
it has some features like color selection (greens only, or red only) Wide angle shots...
no PhotoSphere and 1080p recording only works if app is pushed to /system. Better off in my opinion.

Re: [Q&A] Illusion ROM
Not really question but a list of some apps that are not playing nice with aokp build.
1.)Starbucks official card as well as "my Starbucks card" bar code shows is in landscape mode while in portrait no way to switch it around so useless to scan your orders
*solution: use your plastic card, use another smart device like tab, another phone or device like iPod touch etc.
2.)Pandora radio sometimes gets stuck on the station so you can not change station. Also you can not add a new station
*solution either wait or close out Pandora then reopen the app and you should be able to change station
*to change station do so on another device like PC, phone tablet etc.
Have no idea if this is specific to this ROM aokp(Pandora had same issue with cm10 base) or if this is just typical of 4.2.1 itself

Just noticed that with the Starbucks a lot of apps are forced into going into landscape mode some can handle it well and others can't like the Starbucks apps mentioned above

Can't download?
ummmm sound quality issues? any fixes im running tmo gs3 and the sound quality went down.. also did you include an ota updater if so i dont see it as an app..dont get me wrong this is the best rom as far as aokp and cm based roms ive ran. but ive been using frosty for so long wanted something new.
Re: [Q&A] Illusion ROM
Got a folder question. It's super annoying. Here's the scenario. Downloaded some music in a zip file. Extract it and in my music apps it has each song listed 2x. Looks like one is in my 0/ folder and the other in my legacy/ folder. If I delete either one. It deletes both. How do I avoid the linking of the 2 folders?

Re: [Q&A] Illusion ROM
I think the external speaker is still something in the works within coding. I use headphones daily and they still same the same to me doesn't matter what ROM I use. I always remove any "sound mods" in any ROM I try.
As for the folder issue, I haven't a clue. Remove all of them and save them to your computer and transfer them over and place on external. That's what I do and have no issues at all.

There aren't any in this ROM besides DSP and music fix I believe but I havent touched those. External speaker is the way it is until AOSP code is 100% complete. Its distorted at its loudest it seems to me. I never have my phone set to max.
