Polaris Office - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This built-in Office software can open Office 97-2004 files only. Is there any possibility to open Office 2008/2007 files? In addition, I cannot find the shortcut within Note 2 but when I open Office file, it pops up to select the software. Where does the shortcut hide?

[Q] How to run Adobe air on Archos 70?

I install Adobe Air from Market successfully and I have a file (it's a simple e-Magazine) with .air extension. I can't see the app icon in App drawer screen. I tried long-pressing on the .air file, it won't show any option to run it with Adobe Air. This e-magazine runs fine on my Windows PC.
How to run this file with Adobe Air file offline?
ps. if I open this magazine online within Dolphine browser, it makes use of Adobe Air to display it properly (with all animation of pages selection, etc..)

Can you view content of excel sheet on the homescreen?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a widget or way to have an excel sheet opened already in a widget so that I don't have to click on a shortcut, it just displays the actual file as a widget. I know it sounds lazy but just wondering if there's a way.
Thanks!
There is a free office suite app called kingsoft office that has a widget that will display a preview of an excel spreadsheet. It displays the whole spreadsheet though, so the text will probably be hard to read.

I downloaded the Kingsoft office app and the only widget available showed a preview of a few documents at once, there doesn't seem to be an option to show just 1 doc

If you're rooted, you can install multi window manager
I do this quite frequently...Make sure Moon Reader pro and polaris are available in the side bar where you select the apps you want to open. Drag one instance of each app to the main screen so both apps are open (if thats doesnt work, be sure multi-window is enabled in your settings). Then use Moon Readers file browser to open your textbook.

[Q] Documents and Widgets

I was wondering if anyone has discovered or knows of an app that will allow a document (word or pdf) to display as a widget or shortcut from the homescreen. Kinda like a mini binder. I have a bunch of schedules for work that I would like to display as a widget or something instead of having to open a viewer, search for the file, open and then close again.
I noticed two threads from 2012 with no answers; I'm hoping they were just forgotten about in the shuffle.

I just tried something on my 10.1 Tab Pro. In the "My Files" app, press down on a file until a marked checkbox appears. Then select the 3 dots menu on the top right. There is an option to "Add shortcut to home."
Unfortunately you can't select more than one file at a time though, you have to create the shortcut, then go back in and uncheck that one, and check another one, etc.

Hidden apps Write On pdf and Hancom Office

The apps come preinstalled on the device. For instance my question is can I solely use write on pdf when selecting it as a default application to open pdf files? There are no app drawer icons for either of these programs.
Better yet, is there a way to make these programs visible? Or do they just essentially run when a file type calls for them
if there hidden... how do you know if they are there? how do we come to that conclusion?
Well you can see them ONLY when you try to open one of their specific file types. Try opening a pdf and you will see write on pdf as an option. But look on uour app drawer and its nowhere to be found. Im juat curious if there is a way to actually have the icon in your app drawer
