Question about networks - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Noob question I know but I see postings about Rogers, and bell, etc.. I have att in Missouri so what do I have? By the way my download speeds seem to suck.. 5mg or so.

Rogers and Bell are networks in Canada. You have AT&T network in US

Also check to see if you live in an area that gets LTE. If not you are stuck with Hdpsa speeds.

Straight Talk Data Speed Test In Brooklyn

Hey I'm thinking about switching to straight talk(atnt) from my current 5gb/100mins $30 t mobile monthly 4g plan.
The reason is because T-Mobile is very slow in my area of Brooklyn and I want to know if anyone can tell me their data speeds in Brooklyn. I have a T-Mobile galaxy s3 which is unlocked.
Thanks

Half of Straight Talk uses T-Mobile towers..

From what I've read Straight talk has both T-Mobile and Atnt sims. That maybe true but atnt has better coverage and that is what I'm looking for

Note 2 LTE speedtests with Rogers, Bell, Fido

What are your scores? Pretty disappointed with Bell speedtest. My highest is in Brampton. Higher then Toronto.

Mine are worse on Rogers in Calgary. I get about 15M down and 10M up using Speedtest. It also changes dramatically depending on the site I use for the test so I am not sure this is a very accurate tool to measure LTE performance. I am anxious of the government to open the 700Mhz frequencies because that is when we can expect real speed over the air.

I don't think the 700mhz will help as much with speed as it will help with the coverage. It's pretty spotty with 1700/2100 right now
And here are my fastest speed tests since I got my Note 2. On Ottawa with Bell (6gb promo plan so I can speedtest compulsively without worrying)
From my basement. I am in Aurora, ON with rogers

Why not just post this in the other speedtest thread? Keep the forums clean.

Data cap on NET10 using an AT&T sim is 1.5GB
There is no 3G/4G or LTE service for NET10 on a Tmobile sim.
You would be stuck with 2G/Edge GSM network.
Have fun!
I thought it supported 4g on tmobile

I think he gave you wrong information.
But from what I have heard, you're able to get 3g and sometimes HSDPA on AT&T, but no LTE
and as for T-Mobile, You should be able to get 4g and is supposedly unlimited but people have said you might get throttled at 2gb? not entirely sure.

T-Mobile s4 on AT&T

How well would my s4 work on the AT&T network? Thinking of making the switch only because TMO has very bad coverage @ my place of employment and zero coverage @ my new home. Please do consider that I will apply the appropriate compatible radios/rom(s) for ATT.

Yes.
You have to SIM unlcock it. There is a guide around here somewhere. It's really easy.
Do not switch radios. Let me say that again. Do not flash an AT&T radio. You will not be happy.
OK thanks. I appreciate it. I've subscribed to the sim unlock topic, just need to do it. And I wont be flashing the radio!

I use my T-Mobile gs4 on AT&T, but be sure to check your APNs, otherwise you might not be getting LTE.
