Hey!
Can anyone point me to a place where i can buy a new display for my S710 ? As the one i have is broken..
~D
Oh and they have to ship worldwide..
If you want to replace it by yourself, you should have a clear idea that what's the lcd screen you want.
For safe sake, you'd better take apart you pda first to get the part number of the lcd screen, then you can get the right lcdscreen to replace it.
You can contact me after you get the number, i will check whether we have it in our stock.

Thanks! I will do that..
I need the exact same part and have been looking everywhere, nobody sells it. The only way I have found to repair it is through HTC who won't sell me the screen unless I pay them to fit it at £92 + vat! I paid £200 for the phone so there's no way I am paying that much. Anyone know where we can get one?
providing us with the part number would be helpful
any identification numbers on the lcd module itself would be helpful particularly a manufacturers name as there may be issues with using the same type of lcd but made by a different manufacturer
Okay i don't know if this can help others, but i have taken my S710 apart and after some sweat and a long time i got to the LCD display.. Heres what typed on it..
PN: 60H00088-00M
But there is no manufactor .. as far as i can see..
Hi, I'm looking for this LCD screen also. If anybody know's where to find, i'm in.
Best regards,
Jumea

Is there any way to tell for absolute certain that a phone is new?
I know it's easy these days to reset counters and such, so I was just wondering if there was any way to tell for sure if a phone someone sold on ebay is indeed new and not just a clean used or refurbished phone.
Thanks for the info!
impossible !!!

u can't verify if it's new, cause you only need to hard reset the phone to get a brand new phone (OS is as new) !!!!
anyway just look at it,if it looks new, it's new, otherway, it's an old phone !
salut !
Look around it and specifically at the silver line around it.
If the phone is old, the silver line always goes off.
Slt
Yea the silver line is a way to tell and also, look if the chrome color is wearing off the middle button...
I've Got a T-mobile flavored TP2 that I just purchased from eBay. I guess when the seller says 'Unit in perfect shape' means everything but the 2 keys on the keyboard that won't even click down. I've been looking for a couple hours trying to find just the keyboard to replace it on my own, but I can't find anything.
HELP!!
1st i'd check warranty options. I've bought 2 devices from ebay and had them repaired under warranty.
2nd, you sure its a hardware problem? (sorry not trying to insult you, just covering all bases) Try hard reseting, or flashing to an Official rom.
finally, if you really need the keyboard, check out cnn.cn Usually i find most cell phone parts there, but looks like they don't have the keyboard maybe you could email them and they can get it for you.
also keep looking on ebay, or find one on ebay that is damaged (water damaged, ran over by car, etc) and use it for parts.
Here's to covering the bases!
Thanks for your input. I'm a network admin by trade.. so i totally understand covering the bases!
I called T-Mo.. they wouldn't even talk to me unless I had the ORIGINAL phone number from the plan it was purchased from. They wouldn't even attempt to look it up by S/N. Since my seller was not the original owner either.. I think I'm just out of luck on that one.
Flashed stock ROM, same result. The key physically will not depress.. if I push it hard enough it will input, but then I get 3 or 4 characters instead of 1.
I've been checking on ebay, but didn't think to look for a parts phone. I'll give that a shot!
I'll also send an email to the site you suggested, and I'll repost the results of that email here.
I've been modding my Tilt and Hermes forever, this is my first experience with the TP2. You guys have an awesome site here. The reason I still have less than 10 posts is because you all make the modding so darn EASY! All the answers I've ever needed were already here.
Thanks again for your help!
cnn.cn is working on obtaining the keyboard for me. I'll update with all the info once they have one. Thanks!
Sounds like something might of been spilled on the keyboard. Try using alcohol (> 90%) to clean the keyboard, letting a little soak down between the keys. Then use a hairdryer to evaporate the remaining alcohol back out before you put the battery back in.
Just an update for anyone following.. no word yet from cnn.ca on the keyboard.
Hi, I own an unlocked GSM touch pro 2, it's physical appearance is nowhere near new, I was interested in getting a new phone until I found this website and discovered custom roms, I now love this phone and wish to keep it. But the main point of this thread is that I found new housing for my device, but have no knowledge in switching the housing myself. Does anyone know the difficulty of this, or a service where I can send my phone in with the replacement housing for them to do it for me?
Try this...

Major kudo's to commonwarrior who provided the manuals so freely - they're good to have, thanks commonwarrior.
I attached what I have as copy if the thread doesnt avail. hopefully the two .rar will help.
So I want to repair my R800x. It got thrown at a wall, don't ask. I do mind you asking, don't ask.
I need to replace the housing and the screen. I just took of the vinyl covering and then dropped it on asphalt with barely any scratches, but I'm pissed about them. Where can I get full white housing with the digitizer pre-mounted? A new digitizer will not come with the glue I believe. I also need the volume rocker which I can't find anywhere.
Please help me with this, I'm freaking out. This phone is being a ***** right now, I want it repaired and can't find parts. I don't want to take it to Verizon to get a new one because this has an unlocked bootloader.
So:
- White housing w/ digitizer (Either pre-mounted or with the glue)
- Volume rocker
- Preferably shipping from U.S. and secure.
Thanks everyone, I'm like going insane about this right now...
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't read all the way through, no idea where to get parts, sorry. :\
Not to side step your question or anything but you can get an unlocked bootloader for $24, I'm fairly certain if you can even find the parts you need you're going to spend over that in parts and shipping.
