I just discovered that sophos security finds the acid sound mod to be infected with a Trojan.
if you have acid sound mod installed.

from your screen shot it's saying fandango sends out texts which is why it's considered mal ware.
a trojan is serious business.
sophos is among one of the highest rated android anti virus products.. lookout is included in that list.
I have other viruses that I have as a test to see if the programs can find them. but surprising acid sound mod came up.
can someone confirm that it's a false positive or the trojan is real.

Zynga Poker is (for some reason) unavailable from the Play Store for Galaxy Y, but the app works perfectly fine for me. I currently have v2.3 but want to update it. The trouble is, I can't find an updated .apk anywhere! They either don't download or isn't the correct .apk. Is anyone able to provide me with the latest version? I think the latest is v2.71, but I'm not 100% sure. It's a free app, so I'm breaking no rules. Zynga Poker is free, which is what I want. NOT Zynga Pro Poker, that's a paid version...

Runs bad? I've never had problems with it. The only 'problem' I have with it is pictures on the sides being cut a bit...

Not really a problem though. You can still see your hand, pot and community cards. As long as you can see them, the game is still 100% playable... At least, it is to me

Tubemate a YouTube downloader then i use media converter to convert mp4 to mp3
i found a copy of music junk floating around. i love it but i haven't experimented to see exactly how new it is

EASY MP3 DOWNLOAD but it does send ads to your phone but can find lots of songs other apps cant i use and delete the app

I remember that being a massive battery eater. Otherwise totally agree.
Never had it drain my battery any more than any application that streams data while in use. It does use more power than keeping songs on your phone but never was a battery drain on any of my devices. The new software definitely is smoother though.

I had it install apps on my homescreen. What a pain in the ass. Took me a couple of days to find out what the hell was installing apps, they would just appear out of no where. I was also getting ads in the notification bar. This was on my SG2 so maybe something is different with SG3.
haven't seen anyone mention this one yet but I use TinyShark Downloader... it downloads songs in mp3 format from groove shark and works really well. I don't think there are any ads but I use ad free so it might but I don't see them.there's also a version to stream instead of download. the download version is not on the market anymore (due to copyright issues maybe?)

I use antivirus software and my SG3 stays cool. If your SG3 gets hot it could be your ROM or a hardware failure.
