NFC sends me to play store??? - Sprint LG Optimus G

I recently tried sending a photo to my wifes SGS3 and everytime it sends me to the play store. Once play store opens it says "item not found" ??? Any one else have this issue?
idk how i got here...

Try downloading a NFC app. The LG phone might not recognize at Samsung NFC. They probably use some proprietary format. There is no standard format. When your phone doesn't recognize the NFC it sends you to the play store. It is like when your using your computer and you open a DIVX video you don't support. You have to go to the DIVX site to download the app first. The problem is it doesn't know what app to get.

That happens to me as well when trying to receive pictures. However, it works perfectly fine if I send/receive a web page. This was tested on a GS3.

Would u mind helping me out in which app is best? Went to play store and searched nfc and noticed there were tons of nfc apps. Not sure which to choose from as I'm coming from NS4G and I didn't have this issue then. Thanks again.
idk how i got here...

NFC task launcher is probably the most popular.
Samsung has an app called Samsung Tectile. I don't know if it will work but it is worth a try if the first doesn't.

Sending pictures only works on jellybean. Samsung uses their own method for sending pictures on ics with its sbeam

I'm having the same issue, the app probably just needs to be updated for ICS but it is quite frustrating haha.
I tried it last night and was getting the same error.
Just updated Adobe AIR and the WatchESPN app with the same result; not sure if its a AIR issue or WatchESPN
Submitted feedback via the app this morning and got this back just now acknowledging they're aware and working on it:

What Can You Android Beam?

I keep trying to see what can be beamed. so far its a lot less than more.
so far:
bookmarks in the stock browser.
files in file expert after clicking share then nfc tapping.
post up what you've found.
Youtube video you're watching
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
You can also beam Contacts you're looking at
I think you can do pictures/videos but I've yet to try
I heard you can beam Scottie up. True Story.

gallery images & videos won't transfer via Android Beam.. you can launch apps & games provided that it is installed.. if it's not installed on the other device it opens up the market link to it.. map locations can also be beamed..
i also just noticed that paypal has an NFC widget for easy money transfers.

[Q] Samsung Remote apk (TV remote)

Does anyone have the apk for the latest, v2.2.5, Samsung Remote app? I know it's not officially supported by the gnex but I've just got my first LCD TV (UE40D6530 even though you didn't ask) after having an SD CRT for donkeys and I heard it may work.
By the looks of it it's out there on various random sites but I really don't trust them.

SamyGo Remote works with samsung tv's (UE55 even though you didn't ask ).
Cheers, saw SamyGo but wasn't sure if it was for the newer ones and wanted to compare it to the real deal. Guess I'll just have to use that, my TV doesn't support twin view or dual view or whatever it's called anyway.
Bump as I've got SamyGo which does work but doesn't allow for easy text input, say for searching iPlayer or using the built in web browser.
I've emailed Samsung to request an update to the app so it supports ICS but no idea how long that could take.
Does anyone have a copy they can post? The official Samsung app is the only one that allows you to turn your TV on with Bluetooth and I have heard that the apk works with the galaxy nexus.
Also interested. I have a le40652 possibley meant to have a B in there not sure. I don't think the official Samsung one supports my TV its one year too old, I never got on very well with this whole sammygo swapping TV firmwares I couldnt get it to work.

I tried the app (not connected to the TV), and it seems it's locked to a lower resolution so it won't go fullscreen. I still hope it works with my TV, since even with smaller graphics it is still better then sammygo
/edit: The app works, I've not tried it with Bluetooth only wifi.
can anybody please post a mirror? link to dropbox doesn't work anymore.
thanks
Its 2.2.5
Anyway to change the dpi (make it full screen)
Samsung smartview supports higher resolutions. Try getting that apk

How to get unsupported apps

I have come across some apps that say they are not supported with our device. Its a feaking nexus device and it's advertised as supporting every app in the play store. Any way I found this solution and thought I'd share it with you all.
This person figured out a way to download the apk from the play store to your computer to side load if you cannot get the app on your device.
http://codekiem.com/2012/02/24/apk-downloader/
Yeah, I have a phone and player and just back up all apps with my file explorer. Then put all apk's in an "app folder" on Dropbox, then copy them to any new device. Most side load without issue. Unfortunately they aren't recognized at the Play store and won't update, but when they update on my phone, I just copy the new one. I have to do that on my player with GO Notifications, not sure why it's been "incompatible" for 6 months now...
Thanks a lot work fine

Despite adding to the target line, it still says I need to turn off SSL warnings
Which device ID do you use, for the Nexus 7, or a different device?
**EDIT** Put in my SGS3 details and it worked fine
Another way to do it is to go into astro viewer and go to backup apps. Go down the list to the app u want and click backup and then go look in the backup folder and u will have a apk that u can put on ur phone/ tablet etc...
I recommend the app Datasync. It's pretty easy to use and can even sync data (like game saves on Max Payne or whatever you want). It syncs data between your phone and nexus.

Find the apk. It should work fine. Find it on a site like apk top. Or use a device that gets it and find an 'app to apk' app.
Bluetooth or usb transfer it. Or sd card swap.
Profit. .
Sent from my GN2 using the xda app.
I have been trying to find the apk, every link that i find just directs me back to the play store or some other sort of apk downloader but NEVER the actual apk.
i Tranfsformer Prime at home that i am going to see if will download and pull the apk from my tablet. but i thought for sure there would be an apk on the web that we could just download and install through package installer.
if anyone finds one please post it here when you have time
thanks in advance for anyone that posted and helped.
I did find the VuDu apk and sideloaded loaded it on my GN2.
It will not play videos. Video window opens with "Failed to find a playable version for this content!"
I understand that the VuDu apk will play videos on Android tablets. Hmmmmm...........
UPDATE
Bad file. Found the right one. VuDu working on GN2
