Hello,
I am planning to buy a stereo bt headset to use with phone and computer. I am having Jabra HALO and Rocket fish RF-MAB2 as my options. Any one have experience with one of these how is the quality and durability?
BTW I am considering Jabra because they are cheap today at http://mobile.dailysteals.com/ for just 25 + some shipping, But are they any good? how is the audio quality of Rocketfish. I am fine with not good looks but I really want good audio quality...so any insight on this would be great also please suggest me if there are any options around $60-$70 price tag..
thanks!
Jabra BT3030 is another option if you want to use your own headphones.
I am not to sure about price range , but I can tell you I bought motorola 's S9HD about 20 months ago , best purchase ever and eventhe mic quality is decent I dont get complaints eventho its obvious Im using a headset ,but for music the sound quality is just GREAT (battery life to! )
I bought mine on eBay with no box cost me around 100$ shippe to Canada ( almost 2 yrs ago), dont forget to get the HD one , not the regular one , it really is worth every penny .
I have the rocketfish....
but it all depends on what your going to use it for.
for everyday stuff the motorola is nice. very good quality from what i heard.
but if you are going to be working out and have sweat and rain than i suggest the rocketfish. it doesnt say its waterproof but it takes a better beating than the motorola.
but on the jabra im not sure.
the rocketfish isnt superior in sound but its good and when talking the person on the other side cant seem to tell that its a headset. ^^
hope that helps

Hey thanks guys....that helps a lot. To be honest I am looking for a headphone with excellent audio quality in budget..and mostly I will be using it while traveling only. Also I dont mind the mic call quality..actually I was thinking of some good wired phones like bose without mic but then I realized that third party phones dont always work good with excellent custom ROMs that are out here..and I just noticed that motorola's headphones comes with BT adapter for iPod which is good addition! but all I really care about is audio quality..so I guess moto is good right ??? or any other good options out there.. as it is I will be buying around thanksgiving so right now exploring the options and once decided I will hunt for deals
I bought the S9 (not HD) from Moto last year on Amazon for $29 - sound great for the price. I use them when working out, but otherwise i liked the wired earbuds.
I have the Rocketfish and i love them! Previously i had the Motorola s9-HD and they hurt my ears because they went in the ear. The Rocketfish rest against the ear like the old school sony headphones that wrapped around the head.
I recommend the Sony Ericsson Mw600.
Most flexible BT headset as you can plug in your own headphones. Alsp has a FM radio to boot.
Definitely worth the investment
Hi waghoba - Did you end up with the Jabra BT-650? I was looking at them after you had made your inquirey on that discount site. I started seeing what kind of reviews I could find. By the time I got around to deciding I'd give them a try they were sold out.

Same here. When I decided to buy them, they were sold out. Now I am looking for new deals on some good headphones. Although I was looking for Bluetooth headsets, many people suggested me to buy wired ones for good audio quality.

Motorola S10 HD
Just picked up a pair of the Motorola S10 HD and think they are excellent.
Purchased from HERE.
Santa thought I was a good boy this year and brought me a bluetooth handsfree that you can plug your own headphones into (Jabra BT3030 'Dogtag'). The headphones that come with it are, and let's be charitable here, terrible. The frequency range is totally messed up with vocal tones being subdued and overwhelmed by music.
When I plug in my other "adequate" headphones, they are "good enough". "Good enough" is a huge improvement over "terrible", but I want "WOW!"
I'm asking what earbud headphones people recommend. The only provisos are that they must have a 3.5mm jack and cost less than £20.
You won't find a lot of good earphones for 20 quid, but a decent pair of earphones around that price are the Sennheiser CX300's.
http://mp4nation.net/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=62_69&products_id=390
These easily beat out $150 earphones, and they're having a special right now. If you like their page on Facebook, they're on sale for $30 usd, which puts it right at the 20 GBP mark you're looking for. I own these, and I'm absolutely amazed by the sound. Check Head-fi.org if you want more reviews.
They better than ATH CKM55?
The Soundmagic pl50s are amazing if you're willing to splurge a little.
Otherwise, the pl30 should fall right within your price range and offer great sound and decent build quality/ accessories..
I think mp4nation mentioned above carries the entire soundmagic line, apart ftom the mp21s which also sport a mic..
my skullcandy titans do the job perfectly.
Add Nationite N2 8GB Hi-Fi MP3 Player($84.50) and Brainwavz M2 In-Ear Headphones (Black) ($59.50) to Amazon Cart and you get Brainwavz M2 for free.
I use some Sennheiser HD202's with my Vodafone 845 (and laptop and everything else that uses a 3.5mm connector).....the only problem is is that they have a 3m cable and cost £35....
Plus one on the HD 202 Senns if you don't mind the bulk, you can frequently find them for under 20gbp in local electronics chains (What's the welsh equivalent of Saturn and Mediamarkt? ).
Another great set from Sennheiser are the PX100s (which coincidentally beat the more expensive px200 and px250), should be in the 30-40 pound range though..
The Sennheiser CX300 and ATH ckm55 are both good sets in the <50 pound section, but still, most people in the head-fi forums swear over the soundmagic IEM headphones in this range.
All in all, first decide if you want In Ear or standard headphones.. In the 20gbp range, you can get great headphones by Sennheiser and Sony, but i find them tiring as they won't fit my ears and isolate well enough.
IEMs give the best isolation and there are some true gems like the pl/mp21 and pl30 in that range, as well as way better sets if you raise your budget a bit.
Open headphones like the HD202 are an acquired taste, you either love them or hate them as looks and comfort goes, but offer the richest sound for that pricerange (but be prepared to annoy everyone around you).
Whatever you do, try to avoid ebay. Mp4nation is an ok site, focalprice less so. The creative and sennheisers in there are most likely clones, so, if it seems too cheap, it probably ain't legit.
I had the V-Moda Vibe earbud headphones. They were great while they lasted, as I'm not gentle with my earphones. Sound was great, good price ($27 USD on Amazon) and they come in a decent selection of colors, though they all look good.

Jawbone ICON
Hello there,
my suggestion for a headset would be this Jawbone ICON which is one of the best
if not the BEST bluetooth headsets in the world, check it out on the product homepage and you will see why
thousands of users including me are happy owners of one.Give it a try and if you ever buy one you will never forget it
or want another!!!!!
Enjoy
Dinos :good:
try ajays four..freaking awesome earphones mate
Urbeats
I still highly recommend Urbeats earbuds from Monster.
I wear them a lot and can't get enough of them. Sound is amazing, the different ear buds for customization is usefull and the beats are just stunning!
And I don't know how you think of this, but the price ain't that bad either.
Could you tell us how much you would like to spend ?
Also you should check head-fi.org out, its a forum about headphones and audio in general, I´m sure you´ll find the answer to your question there

ok, in that particular price range it isnt so easy
If you would spend a little more you could take a look at the "Shure Se 215" ( about 95$ ) or at the "Ultimate ears triple fi 10" ( about 150$, but they are just amazing, if not even the best in that price range ).
Just read some review and I´m sure you´ll find the right ones, but believe me, stay away from Beats

Using Sennheiser CX 300 II and they are great. Really nice bass and i listen to more or less the same as you
If you go for SoundMagic I hear the PL50s are very good value.
One X to rule them all.

Totally agree. Stay away from Beats, maybe think about saving for the Ultimate Ears triple fi 10. (I got mine for 115€ thankfully ), Shure is supposed to be good too.
I found the best solution for this budget! German seller! Very famous in Germany

I have audio technicha sj33, quite good for the budget.
I believe I don't have hi-fi ears but at the shop beats sound good

They stopped making Sennheiser CX 500. One of my earphone started losing sound, so when I sent it back, they gave me the cx400 ii. Haven't really tested it that much, but so far they are pretty good.
I suggest that you will try the Jays a-jays one+, great quality + mic and even an android application to program the button commands!
Didn't see how much you want to spend
Yes, Shure absolutely rock.
Share se 210 right now you can get $149 for $29. Old model but really good
Shure SE 215 $100 -
Shutre SE 315 - $180 worth itv
Vsonic gr07- $180 audiophile's really like.
Hers a really good site for earphones from inexpensive to $500
But seriously, if anybody on the ION forum wants a pair of shure 210's that retailed for $149 two years, you can get for $29.99!
Unopened 2 yr warranty
BTW - I'm not the seller Nation wide retailer
I have 6 pairs.

I bought the Shure SE215 for about $100 just before I bought the One X, and it's a perfect combination. The sound is great and the bass is a bit emphasized but not overwhelming. Note that the old SE210 cost more but they are not better than the SE215.
Hey guys,
I'm planing to buy Klipsch Reference S4 earbuds. Is anybody using this ones with HOX? I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks
fully agree - the SE215 provide a decent balanced combination that is tough to beat in that price range.
I use mine everyday and am very happy with them.
I'm sure most of you guys own a decent earpiece for your phone's entertainment.
Let's list out your babies here!!
*I don't have one yet, but I got my eye on Beyerdynamic XP3 and going to get it soon, or I'll appreciate it if one of you guys can recommend me some other IEM earpiece at that price range*
I recently got some Sennheiser CX150s because I was on a budget and they're my second pair of headphones (I have over-the-ear ones but wanted a pair that was more portable too).
If I'd been able to justify it, I would have gone for MEElectronics' A151. But with the CX150s on sale for $17, I just couldn't make myself. :silly:
I've got Shure SE215's as well as Bowers&Wilkins P5 on-ears. The Shure's get more use despite being 1/3 the msrp (I didn't have to pay retail for my P5's), because I find the sound to be more balanced for my tastes.
I am using my stock LG earphones..
I got ATH-T500 for my laptop and I'm truly satisfied with it.
Going to consider myself of spending roughly same budget on an IEM earpiece.
I've tried some Sennheiser headphones, they sound great with reasonable price, but am not sure about their IEM...
Same goes to Audio Technica, although my babe is one of them, but I heard that their IEM are like sh*t...
Seen a lot of Shure though, but I never get any hands on with them... guess that it's time to pay audio store a visit.
Is anyone who willing to sell there Original HOX headset that comes with the phone please massage me.
Or can you send some links where to buy this.
P.S.- I tried the eBay but the most sellers don't post it to my country. I'm in Sri Lanka by the way.

Oh my God I can't agree with you more! I wasn't even paying attention to this subforum and I decided to buy Sennheiser CX 175 which is fairly cheap, reasons I went for this is I wanted to get rid of original headset that came with One X and wanted something with at least a "bit" better sound.. another reason being I was rather short on cash and I instisted on Sennheiser because I already have Sennheiser HD 380 pro which I use for post production (so really high end) so I felt safe with the brand. I bought the CX 175 in-ear headphones and man, IF I HAD THE MONEY I SWEAR I WOULD PAY AT LEAST TWO TIMES THEIR PRICE. These little nasties are quite comparable to the professional HD 380 pro, with slightly louder bass (but not as defined as HD 380 pro) which some consumers will find as a plus, some as a minus, depending on what you listen to.. I listen to electro house, dubstep and some trance so a greater bass really does the job for me... and highs are good and loud too, although they also lack a little bit of definition when compared to its brother for professional uses.. but really, stereo image for example is PERFECT.. put on a song with a lot of acoustic guitar and you'll hear the magic.
Also, the isolation is just perfect as well, you really won't be able to hear a whole lot of outside with these headphones on, even without playing music.
For its price of 30-35 euros, it definitely outmatches most if not all of headphones in the same or even higher price range.
P.S. DininduDS, if you decide to stick with the original handset, I can send you mine absolutely free. Though considering you're in Shri Lanka I guess shipment needs to be paid or something?

Type in the google sennheiser cx300 best in ear headphones out there, for bout 30$, unfortunately they haven't got a mic. if you need headphones with mic, your choice widens up. i would recommend one of those:
Nocs NS400 or NS200. a-Jays one +, RHA MA450i, Sennheiser cx275s all arround 60$.
I myself went for sony mw600 together with sennheiser cx 300, will buy Nocs or RHA with next opportunity.
