[Q] [HELP] My Lg p936 (LTE HD/ NITRO HD) after use ROM MANAGER

I downloaded ROM MANAGER app, and I used the option "Install ROM from SD CARD" to try to install the official ROM V20e.zip. During the process, and restart the device no longer functions.
the device gives no heartbeat, no charge, no power on. The PC does not recognize it when plugged into USB.
The device died ...
What do I do?

You need to manually enter recovery. I don't have that phone so I don't kbiw if that rom is even the correct rom for your phone. To enter recovery on most devices hold volume up, home button and power. Roms are flashed in recovery not apps.

And is your battery full? Does adb recognize it?
If the rom is definitely for your phone I don't believe you've actually hard bricked.
U may wanna check that

Battery was arround 80%...
Adb Shell says: device not found.
This device is not sold in my contry (Brazil), and probaly LG will not make any kind of concert...

Search man. Dont give up yet. Are you 100% sure that rom u tried to flash was for your device? If it wasnt then yes u may have a brick. If you're sure it was thwn keep searching there may be hope still. Maybe even try the method u used to root in tge first place?

It might bricked
At first make sure your battery is healthy and try to charge it,then use one of unbrick methods available,take your phone to download mode and flash one of official p936 *.KDZ roms
it's better to flash android 2.3 versions for unbricking

if u see QHSUSB_DLOAD on ur PC Driver manager is posible that ur are hard bricked the only way to fix http://unlimited.io/qhsusbdload.htm (note) that this is for htc phone and u need Linux not sure if this will work on LG have carefull and good luck

Exactly, i see "QHSUS_DLOAD"....
I followed the procedure u indicate, but in the end appears "QDL reset", and the phone remains the same :/

Yeah not good. Basically the phone is an expensive paper weight now. I had the same thing happen to me a few months back and had to get a new phone. Your options:
1. Contact your phone company and see if it can be handled under warranty.
2. Contact LG.....same thing.
3. Spend $50-$100 on having a third party fix your phone.

Ok relax if you can connect in download mode 90% chances are your phone will be recovered.

What kdz are you trying to flash? Broken kdz file also results in extract error, try downloading some other kdz specific to your phone model.

what i understand is you successfully flashed jelly bean kdz but after that you are stuck in bootloop? If that is the case all you need is to wipe your phone and itll boot

I dont find any recovery mode in my phone to wipe and reboot...
and why it is not updated to kitkat through kdz, it is shown file extract error....Please help.

Pleas switch off your phone. Press volume -- volume down key and press power button together. On screen display you will get option for hard reset your phone, click power button twice, then your phone will boot after 5 to 10 seconds after a hard reset..

8) If the phone is stuck at the booting up LG/Telco logo, you will need to manually wipe the data partition.
9) Force the phone off by holding the power button for appx 15secs.
10) Put the phone into recovery mode by holding the volume up and home button concurrently, then press the power button. Let go of all the buttons after you see the LG logo on screen for the 2nd time and the screen goes blank thereafter (backlight may still be on). The phone will kind of reboot and then enters recovery mode. Repeat the process if you did not get it the first time.
11) With the phone in Recovery Mode, connect it to the computer, wait for the drivers to load (if doing it for the first time), unzip the wipe batch file downloaded earlier from step (4), double click on wipe.bat to execute the wipe command.
12) Your phone will auto reboot when wiped and (hopefully) boot as per normal.
Follow this procedure and download wipe batch file from here http://www.mediafire.com/?ru7erfxsz7p7s3p

Extract file error could be because of a broken kdz or once a kdz larger than 1 gb is flashed using kdz updater it also gives this error

Another thing, now my phone doesnt show any IMEI no, and please suggest me how do i get it and how do i update the kitkat version now...can i root the phone after updating the kitkat or now?

No IMEI means you need to restore EFS backup ,which i doubt you did not make

I didnt know anything about EFS backup....!!! Is there anything wrong with my phone.!

Another interesting thing is that, in my phone it is shown F180S but when i connect it to computer via usb, the LG support tool software shows it LGV500.
What about the matter Brother???

If you've lost your imei without making EFS backup , you've lost it forever. There's no fix for this i guess. Best bet for you is use your phone as it is.

You can try flashing stock kdz for your modle, it may help you but nit guaranteed.

but I dont think there is a way into recovery if you are unable to boot the phone and no power button
I need something like a odin flashable tar that wipes cache /resets (because this usually fixes the stuck on logo)

flashing anything with a fluky power button is very hazardous. If it goes off in the middle of something, your device could be toast.
I'd get it fixed before doing anything. if it can't be fixed....phone shopping time! [emoji106]

You're risking your phone flashing anything.
But its yours to do with as you wish. Just would suck to finally get that power button delivered....and not have a functioning phone to use it with.

I am aware and have adb. thing is phone is bricked after last update (stuck at logo)
so i can only get into download mode ....wish there was a way to get from download to recovery but I cant find any
without the use of the power button ofc ...

i have the same exact problem minus my power button, it works normal
and i get firmware upgrade encountered an issue
i get that screen when i normal boot it, try recovery, or download mode, everything results to firmware upgrade encountered an issue
not sure if i should post here with this or not, just letting you know

it reaches download mode no matter what i do ( the firmware error is in the download mode )
the problem is while in download mode nothing recognizes it ( its not normal download mode )

if kies wont recognize, nor will odin-i dont know--try reposting maybe get some new views, sorry

another well explained guide for solving using kies : http://androidcentral.us/2013/09/how-to-fix-firmware-upgrade-encountered-an-issue-on-kies/

In case anyone doesn't know.....Odin won't see your device if kies is running. You need to kill the kies process. Make sure there's no mention of it in windows task manager.
Then, if your drivers are installed right....Odin should see your phone.
Also, I've always had the best luck with Odin 3.04.

exactly ... kies is utter ****!
I would never recommend it too. A pure waste of time

Also, see what your phone shows as in windows device manager. If its listed with an "!" on it....the drivers may need to be reinstalled. If windows doesn't see it correctly, either will Odin. ?

Problem solved, I reinstalled drivers.
That simple.

I tried to install a custom rom from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt.../vupmp-g-pro-sg3-v3-0-final-lg-g-pro-t2867783
But now I am stuck in a boot loop i think ( it won't do anything but showing me the lg sign )
I tried downloading the kdz file but there isn't 1 site for the Dutch one @ NLD/Netherlands (tbh there is but all the links are down)
I can't boot into the cwm either and I also can't do hard reset...
Can anyone tell me what to do?

I found a sollution for this.
Download LG Mobile Support tool ( http://lg-support-tool.en.lo4d.com/ )
Put your phone in download mode "Hold the VolumeUP + VolumeDOWN Button and plug in the usb cable from your device to your pc [DON'T PRESS THE POWER BUTTON], let it install the drivers. ( To be sure it found you'r drivers, you should press on : Install Drivers
Once you installed your driver of the e98x ( mine is e986 ) Press on Extra functions - Upgrade-error recovery.
Make sure it found your device and make sure you are connected to the internet "IT WONT WORK WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION"
Launch it and it will reset your phone to new ( it did for me )
Don't get mad if you lose you're data T_T this worked for me so it should work for you to

Nope, aint working since it says that my battery isn't fully charged. but i even tried the battery of a friend of mine and it says the same..

are you able to enter into the recovery by pressing pOWER + VOLUME UP ? the device must be turned off and to be sure, pull battery and charging cable off and put battery back to do the pressing combo.

I did that.. but no luck :S I am able to get into recovery mode but it keeps saying my battery is to empty

I tried to install a custom rom from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt.../vupmp-g-pro-sg3-v3-0-final-lg-g-pro-t2867783
But now I am stuck in a boot loop i think ( it won't do anything but showing me the lg sign )
I tried downloading the kdz file but there isn't 1 site for the Dutch one @ NLD/Netherlands (tbh there is but all the links are down)
I can't boot into the cwm either and I also can't do hard reset...
Can anyone tell me what to do?

you told that u cannot boot into cwm which sounds pretty serious...

how do you get into the recovery mode?
please do not mistake cwm and recovery mode, because cwm is your recovery mode.
so please tell what steps you were using so that we can help you

well, I tried powering off the phone----holding volume DOWN+UP and plugging the usb into my lg.
I also tried that while I took out my entire battery but the same results

Ehm guys, I would like to know how to get my phone back to the stock image. I am still stuck on the error which says my battery is empty when I try to restore it but I quess it is because my phone thinks it is en E980 while it is an e986
Or it is because I flashed Madmacks kernel or smthing. Any solutions? :C I just wanna go back to the stock image D:

1. connect ur phn to ur pc and install flashtool from step 4.
2.install drivers of ur mbl
3.download the kdz firmware file u want from here http://www.lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=25
4.now follow the steps provided in the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2797190
5.its better to choose cse flash as i did that(when i chosen normal flash,the update stopped saying some error.so disconneted my net connection and tried again.it worked)
6.if u follow the above steps correctly,ull get ur phn back within 6 minutes.
(sorry for my english) and please let me know if ur phn is back.

Unfortunately I don't have the 986 and didn't catch that was your specific model. If you're in a bricked mode already and have access to your original FW then its worth a shot for recovery. YMMV

follow the first guide "KDZ Flashing Method"
make sure you have your internet connection disabled when you start LG Flash Tool and that you are using Windows 7, i dont know if it will work on windows 8, but im sure it wont work on winXP.

PLEASE HELP ME I ACCIDENTLY deleted my os now all i can see is lg logo and it goes and nothing comes after that.the power buttons to boot in to recovery mode is in vain and mypc does not recognise my device .if i could go to boot menu i culd do something but it wont go please help me please please !! :crying:

Enter download mode and install new firmware. It will take about 30 mins.

Turn on you phone while holding both volumn + power buttons. If that doesn't open the download menu, you need to take out the battery; connect usb cord to your device, while holding all the buttons (volumes and power) plug the other end USB cord to your Pc, and put the battery back in, then let go of the buttons. Keep try both of those methods, and you should be able to get the download menu to flash the firmware. Otherwise you can't do anything.

i tried that with lg flash tools but i think i have some prob with it . can you provide a download link for the software to flash the firm ware ?

There are 2-3 threads on re-flashing complete stock using flash tools. Here is one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2764076. Search also for others and see which works best for you. The flash back is no big deal, so have no fear! (Turn off internet when using LG Flash tools, or sometime ET calls home !

LG Optimus G Pro E988 Bricked Issue
Hi there my friend I have bought LG Optimus G Pro E988 recently but 4G LTE was not working on it so I tried to update its ROM and while doing it unfortunately it bricked. Now when ever I tried to power on my phone it shows LG logo and reboot again and again and nothing pop up i tried many things with download mode but it does not work and it is also not going in recovery mode and I cant find its bootloader. Could anyone please help me this

phone wont switch on
oh something bad happend while flashing my device i used a e980 stock rom to flash and it showed fail , and after that the phone wont switch on like before it wont switch on it seems i tried charging but even if i plug in the device charger the phone wont switch on. now i cant even acces download mode please help me please :crying: :crying: its been a month nd i am not succesful in flashing my device.. anybody please help me

Have you tried all the methods I mentioned in earlier post to turn on the download mode? Try them first, and if those methods don't work, then you can plug your phone to a PC and look under the device manager what your phone appears as. If it's recognize as a lg device, then you should keep trying those methods I've mentioned until you get the download mode. However, if your phone is not recognize at all, or it's been seen as something that has word Qualcomm qdhs something in it, then phone is hard bricked. If that is the case, then I can only suggest you try the following link, get the jtag service, else get yourself another phone. Because hard brick, if you have never heard the word before, it means just how it sounds, you got a hard brick on your hand.

Dud you try the hard brick fix link post from hakwind? You need Ubuntu but you can easily install it on any pc....

yea but i ve been tryin to download the india e988 kdz file from storagecow but its soo slow that it shows it takes almost 2 days to download nd am not at home am residing in hostel so i can only download thru college wifi .so first i have to download ! but it takes a hell a lot of time

Yes, in India the speed barely goes above -80 Kbps. Just bad....?

i cannot extract my kdz file using the software mentioned in the earlier thread
i gave my phone to service centre they told they wont repair coz its a korean made e988 ! can you post any link that has a korean e988 stock kdz pleaze :crying:
