Stock Factory Images - Sprint LG Optimus G

I am looking for someone to help pull the stock factory images because I can't find them anywhere. I found a .TOT but it seems they are mostly inaccessible. If you are willing, have root and ADB installed this is a simple set of commands and file transfers. It would be best if the willing participant joined me on IRC. Just hit the link in my sig and dance a little logon jug. Once we go through the steps I will give you logon credentials to a public host I have made available for public uploads. I will also host these same files for all to enjoy and work with at waywardpilgrim.net. Thanks for reading this and I hope we can work together soon!

Maybe a Dev can put something together that we can maybe push to the file system via ADB?!
I would be fine with this if no apk would be done. I would really like to get this phone rooted. It has a lot of potential without all the crap from Metro.

[Q] S Voice/Vlingo Uninstall and Install Modded Directions Please

I just rooted my phone for the first time and flashed the Frankenstein Ego ROM. I just want to say thank you for the amazing work by everyone here at XDA. You guys are the best!
S voice that comes with the ROM does not work and get a network error. I know that there is a modded version that should work (here if anyone is looking: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662358)
I apologize for the noob question, but how do I uninstall the S voice that came with the ROM and Vlingo (I tried Titanium and finding it in the .zip file, but didn't want to play with the latter too much).
Again, thank you for the amazing work. BTW-this ROM is absolutely wonderful.
Please provide step by step directions, I am new to the whole scene.
titanium worked
Never mind. Used titanium to uninstall. The modded version works great!!
For anyone else interested use the S Voice patch v4 on this blog

It looks like there is a v3 is posted on that url.
I examined the script and it's not quite right copying over one of the files that the dev put into that flashable zip. Specifically, there is an etc/permissions folder that isn't being written back to the phone. If the app works, then maybe that file isn't necessary. But if it doesn't someone needs to tell the dev to correct the script and see if it that helps.

It may work the way it is. It wouldn't hurt anything to try it. That was just an observation on my part.
FYI for anyone downloading that flash, it will delete several default files on your phone, including voicetalk.apk and vlingo.apk. If you depend on these apps I thought you would like to know. Please backup your phone prior to flashing this file so you can easily restore everything the way it was.
Updated to v4, thanks man ^

No problem. Like I said, may not even matter but I thought I would point it out in case it was an oversight. Plus I like to see how other people like to code their work and learn from it.

Help with downloading files

I'm trying to download ROMS and for most of them it wants me to download iLivid.
I did that and tried pasting in the URL and the program locks up. I read it's maleware.
How do you download files here now ?
This is the thread I'm tryhing to get them for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128135
Thanks
Never accept a request to install a program to download a file. These are usually malware / spyware which you should not have on your pc. Download from an alternate source or not at all.

It is the multiupload links, they don't require you to download ilivid download manager, but they make the page to confuse people somewhat so they will click on the adware instead of the download link.

[MODS] General Mods for Stock Jellybean

Until the bootloader is unlocked. Attached is some mods to improve upon Jellybean.
Also, I urge people to bring any modifications(or test yourself) some of the mods in the Nexus 4 section that I can hopefully start transposing onto the LG Optimus Jellybean. I suggest if you're unsure if a mod will work. Ask me first, it's better to ask than brick your phone.
I'll make flashable zips and incorporate into lifeless eventually.
thermald-8064.conf
- Download file (this is NOT flashable)
- Extract the file
- Replace the extracted file with the same file in System/etc (Using Root Explorer or similiar)
- This improves the overheating issue based on the modified stock thermaconfig from ICS
Camera-Mod by _EPIC
- Same exact directions as above
- Excep replace the media_profiles with the media_profiles file attached.
More to come
Seems to be working thanks!

Both work great, as always! :good:
Wifi Teather Root
Hello,
Hope this is the right forum, just recently updated to jelly bean LS970ZVB from this forum. Was able to retain root access; however lost my ability to use Wifi Tether for Root Users. Evidently FreeGee hasn't came up with a way to unlock the bootloader just yet after the update. Is there a way with this update to utilize free WIFI wireless tethering. I've looked around everywhere, and nothing has seemed to work. I have all green check marks on the log within the application. Please help!!!!:confused.
Maybe Sqlite will work with forcing entitlement changes; however , cant find this either.

I really liked your camera mod for ics so I wanna give this a shot. I don't know where to put the XML file though. I don't see anything names camera_profiles. Does this replace something or just get dropped in somewhere. Thanks for your work. Sorry for my lack of smarts

Adri, the bootloader is unlocked, but the boot image that freegee has is for ics and therefore won't boot. If you just flash the recovery and aboot, you are unlocked, but can't debloat since the security error is fixed with the custom boot image. We haven't figured out how to fix it on jb hence the delay.

This one sounded interesting. Wonder if there's a similar mod that would work for us:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028289
It changes the synaptic driver out to increase touch screen responsiveness.
Nothing else really comes to mind though.
There's a virtual CD ROM mod I saw floating around, but I would have to find it again.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Shelnutt has updated freegee to properly work and boot for us (the jb boot image and stuff has been taken care of). Now that is out of the way and we are unlocked/rooted zvb, could you make flashable zips for the 2 mods? would love to try them out
thanks
Always look forward to you and Epics stuff.
