No Bluetooth Connection OR Rotation on my screen

Hi I modded my HERO about 3 weeks ago and have tried various ROMS which have worked really well. However I dont get bluetooth anymore (Pairs but will not connect) and also my screen rotation does not work. Sometimes it works on the 1st boot for a few minutes then it stops and I dont hen have any screen rotation working again.
Any help please, coz this is doing my head in !! AAAhhhhhhh

Which rom are u using? And did you upgrade to the latest radio already?

A wipe and reflash of a new ROM should help. I don't think anyone has had such issues with VillainROM 6.1, so that might be worth a look.

Ive just dowloaded a copy of Villain ROM 6.1 but after its loaded from my SD card it just hangs on the Hero screen showing the HERO logo. I have even left it for over an hour but it still stays on the same screen. Any help really appretiated on this please?

By the way I wiped everything prior to adding the new rom.

I have just put Villain 5.5 onto my Hero and thats works ok So I wonder what I am doing wrong with the 6.1 version?
Could somebody send me a link to the correct ROM version of Villain 6.1 so I know I am downloading the working version, and hopefully my Btooth and Rotation will work again?

Try this: http://www.villainrom.co.uk/releases/VillainROM6.1/download.php
Failing that, try
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/releases/VillainROM6/download.php first
and then flash http://www.villainrom.co.uk/ota/FinalVillainROM6.1-Patch-signed.zip
If it's slow, install SetCPU and autokiller (you can get it from the App called "VillainROM Updater"), and set autokiller to medium.
If you still have issues, flash the kernel from http://www.villainrom.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=12114#p12114

[Q] kernel(s) with wifi N support?

at firts i am running cm7.2_rc_buzz_kang(03-14-2012),with original radio(never had to flash another,just few times sometimes reflashed to make gps work),custom mtd
i would like to ask devs for this question, but i cant, so i try at least here...
some time ago our router at home has been changed and so has wlan...and that started to cause me problems,because i cant set router up for my phone to provide "g" wifi which works flawlesly..(actually,discovering,that everything is caused by "n" wifi provided by router was very funny,because it was the last thing i thought i could be ) however..after some googling and much xda reading i found app called Wifi fixer,which in most cases fixes my problem,but it doesnt work in 100% cases,and its not the "coolest" solution
few days ago i found Sympnotics kernel,and flashed it,one of reasons was its declared "n" wifi fix,which didnt work...i know,its beta,im not complaining,just saying what i found...btw thats the only thing,that is not good FOR ME on that kernel
so i thought to look for another...
i found infinityplay,which didnt work in "my" way,neither did "official" arco68s,neither last hcdr.kernel_v4.2...
the only one i found working is HCDR.Kernel_v4..
my next idea was (i am noob,so sorry... ) to copy bcm4329.ko (which should be wifi module of kernel) from HCDR.Kernel_v4 to SympKernV4.1..that (surprisingly ) didnt work...at least i tried...
so there is my question...(in this moment,youre the only person who i know is developing kernel,most for Sympnotic) would it be possible to have your kernel with hcdr.kernel_v4 wifi module??
if i have known to do this on my own,i wouldnt bother to ask here, but i have no idea how to build my own kernel,even how to take one,change wifi module and again make flashable zip...

Newbie here but just wanted to thanks dk_zero-cool for this great ROM, and being a newbie I can’t post under his development thread so... thank you dk_zero-cool!
2 Minor Issues (maybe some stupid stuff)
1 - Wireless problem:
I couldn’t connect to my home's wifi... every time I wanted to connect I had to reboot the phone in recovery, wipe dalvik cache and then it could connect. After a couple of hours (wifi switched off) I couldn’t connect again when I turned wifi on.
I went to my router config, fixed the channels from Auto to 11, and that did the trick! Now it connects every time and it works perfectly.
2 - Slow ICS with mount2sd enabled and a Class4 SD Card:
First time I installed the ROM it was so so slow... Then I realized I installed it with mount2sd script enabled, and my SD is a Class4 SD Card. Installed the same ROM again, without mount2SD, and it ran perfectly. Installed Link2SD afterwards, moved all the Apps I could to the EXT3 partition, and now I have 75MB free on my internal storage and the phone works great and fast.

Great idea, having the same problem. Thanks, dk_zero-cool, fantastic work. Unfortunately I still see rare reboots I had with CM7.2. /proc/last_kmsg doesn't contain any clues though. On CM7 there was typically the dreades "ARM9 has crashed" message indicating a radio crash. Here I saw nothing, just some random battery loading stats.

I am eager to try out SpazeDog but download is really slow I wonder why we don't use Torrent to get the load off the servers?

Wasn't slow for me at all. Took about 5 minutes. Maybe you could choose a mirror closer to you?

Downloaded the latetes SpazeDog and download was fast. No real need for a torrent. Whats you internet connection speed? Never had problems with the mirror speeds ...

prague was the nearest mirror but it was still slow, but my connection speed isn't great anyway, downloadspeed fluctuated very much, but after all it finished
and JB spazedog is awesome! Had a little trouble installing it with changing hboot etc and fixing wifi and all that but now it is just plain great and I am very excited that I still can use my beloved desire, but not just that, but also that my old desire is even more up to date than a lot of newer phones out there.
I really have to donate somewhere!

i've dowloaded and installed this ROM and its works good but besides the known bugs i've encountered in some i didnt find on the forums :
- data toggele doesnt work so good , sometimes i need to switch to airplain mode on/off to get 3G data to work
- i cant mount USB mass storage on my PC i dont have this option when connecting the device .
how can wrk around it ?

I'm using this ROM daily too, and I can tell you just this: if you have read the whole thread in the Development section then you would know that those are the current issues that vijendrahs tries to solve, besides that he even posted that he has fixed those issues within the new updated version of this ROM, but he won't post/upload the new ROM before the "kanging issues resolve" - whatever that means.
I'm still new to the Android world, and I have my Desire for like 4months now, but his is the best JB ROM so far and I rreally appreciate his work, I would even donate some money if I could ( we have some problems with paypal in my country - still waiting for them to fix those ), but I just can't understand why someone would steal or repost the same ROM on another forum and say that it is his work/ROM ??? everybody knows that vijendrahs is the main developer for the 3 ROM's, and those are the MIUI JB ROM, the CM 10 JB ROM, and the AOKP JB ROM, so please stop those childish things...
I even considering to go into development myself, still haven't found the right amount of time for that, but as soon as I can - I will give it a shoot
If someone has some info what I have to know, or where to start, please let me know - thanks in advance

WiFi Issue in Certain Countries

Hello
I'm new here so they wouldn't allow me to post on the Dev section, anyways, I bought my Xperia S with Android GB in it and it has been with me for a while so i keep updating it. I installed the last software Sony has (JB .96) before i started flashing custom ROMs, however, i noticed that the WiFI stopped working in all the JB versions (.200, .211, .96) and when i did some research i found that Sony has activated its restriction program on some countries these are Sudan, Iran and Syria, as far as i know. me, i'm from Sudan, i figured that the the device shuts down the wifi ONLY when it detects the SIM card, as when i try to remove the SIM of turn on AirPlane mode (then restart the Device to start on AirPlane mode) the wifi works just fine.
when the wifi is locked, i can still turn it on, but the device starts to get very slow and it keeps searching for networks forever, and when i turn it of it take a loooong time to do so. installing custom ROMs did not fix this problem as most of the ROMs are based on the JB builds. i tried other solutions like trying to change the country code and so, but still, no luck. i might have tried lots of things here but frankly i'm not a developer, but i succeed to flash ROMs and Kernels by following your instruction, which u do very well on it .
I though that you guys did not encounter this issue before because you are not is a in a country that is under "US sanction" , but i'm sure you would have fixed this problem if you have heard of it
sorry for the loooong post hehe.
just one last thing, I LOOOOOVE what you guys are doing and i really do appreciate it, i WANT to donate but, there we (guys from Sudan)
can't create a PayPal account or so, again "US sanction".

Can,t u just flash for example PureSlim KitKat rom? Im using it now, it's working 100% fine and much faster than JB or any modded JB. Im 100% there will not be any wifi restrictions here.

I'm from Sudan too and I'm facing the same problem as @BMBcin I've tried Zillions of ROM's to solve the problem (I don't know about the restriction thing but putting the phone in flight mode didn't help either , my friend have Xperia Z and WiFi is working fine for him ) if someone come up with a solution please post it here
