Based on Google Play Store 3.5.15
this fix is for getting google play store (previous named Market) to work for different dpi values not only the stock ones without showing the message "Your device isn't compatible with this item" when trying to download.
screen density is hardcoded in the application (240dpi) so you can change your screens density value even by manualy editing /system/default.prop or by using an application such as lcd density.
i saw somewhere on the forum that somebody did this for an older version of market but it was not completely patched. it was not working if you were editing /system/default.prop instead of using an application.
you need to clear application data for this to work

Also got status 0 installation aborted, but simply copying the apk to /system/app worked, and the market works as it should, tested with 180 dpi on AOKP M4
Btw, didn't have to set any permissions.
Inverted black background would be appreciated if possible. I can give you one to patch if needed.

Hi You should have that moved to Android general section, I just installed it on my Optimus 2X and worked flawlessly (Although I have to install it manually by copying to /system/app and setting permissions, as CWM returned error)

i copied the vending.apk file and googleframework.apk file to systrm/app/.. bit i dont know what are the permissions to be granted so i ticked all of them amd tried to install both apk files but is said "file not installed"....plz tell me how to install the files.....plz plz....and also what am i supposee to do with the other folder META-INF ????....ppz help me...thnx fr ur previous comment..plz plz plz help me.....
You just need to copy the apk files to /system/app and set permission to rw-r--r--. You don't have to install them

Are You doing anything else then copying those 2 apk files to the system/app directory, fixxing permissions and clear app cache? Because when I tried it, it was not working. I even got errors after restarting the phone like google service frame work had an error and was closed.
Any update for 3.5.16 btw?

I haven't tested it on cm. (no experience with cm at all)
it would be wise to make a backup first [do check ur firmware for framework as well, its .55 that i have modified for xperia s]
U can try the systemui though!
Let me know if it works.
It won't work on CM. It has a completely different framework and SystemUI. You will only get a bootloop.

System doesn't boot up at all. Stuck at the XPERIA logo with bottom illumination lights on.
You are on stock-rom right?

Here I bring you another of my mini-modifications because as we all know the internal memory of our Galaxy Ace is very limited.
WHAT DID I DO EXACTLY?: I deleted the unnecesary wallpapers that are in folders "res/drawable-sw720dp-nodpi" and "res/drawable-sw600dp-nodpi", the wallpapers we need are in "res/drawable-nodpi"
Make sure you have another launcher if you make a wrong procedure.
Downloads:
Mini-Trebuchet CM9.1
Mini-Trebuchet CM10
Steps to install:
-Rename the file to "Trebuchet.apk"
-Copy "Trebuchet.apk" to /system/app
-Set these permissions: rw-r--r--
-Enjoy

Be more precisely. What did you remove ? Did you compile it from Source ? If so, it might become part of Jellaxy Source repo...

Check first post, updated. I got apk from your ROM
Best way to reduce internal space of the apps....
decompile some systemapp`s (like trebuchet-launcher (won`t work with paid apps!) ) with apktool..... set compiler level to "9" and recompile it... make flashable zip ... wipe all... install... reboot...
that`s it and the best way !
doesn't seems that it increased any internal space for my ace.

if anything all it does is removes wallpapers, and frees about 1MB..
to save space with a higher compiler level ^as said about , and zipalign

Bootanimation Manual Install Instructions:
Use any file manager with ROOT permissions like "Root Explorer"

2. Open the Root Explorer App
3. Locate the Bootanimation.zip in your downloads folder

EDIT: I opened the folder for the bootanimation and i could see the secuence. If you want add the video you can use soft for create a .gif with all images to your bootanimation and after upload here

Yes it is! Unfortunately I can't put the entire announcement because it's too long and the bootanimation will play very slow or even don't play.

i already try flash using stock 4.1.2 it seem that it can't works :silly:

I've followed the steps but cudn't get it working its the same old samsung....I'm using rXTREME rom v10.0 on i9305 and as far as I know it supports custom bootanimations. any idea?

Did you tried in both "Local" & "Media" folders?
What about the permissions problem?
Are you sure you have custom bootanimations enabled?

Yes, i think its modding the framework-res because those are the same colors on settings, contacts, msg, etc.

Hi i just deleted the /system/priv-app/SystemUI_ESS.odex and installed the apk but its not getting installed and also my notification panel had been just gone..
Wat to do pls help me..
