[Q] Install JB RUU on CID HTC_J15 - HTC One X

Hello,
I have a HOX with CID HTC_J15, I bought it from Egypt. The software has Arabic keyboard so we have to wait until the JB update gets localized. And I don't mind losing the Arabic keyboard infavor of getting JB stock update faster.
So I was wondering can I install this RUU RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe on my device with CID HTC_J15?
And if yes, will I lose any data after running this RUU?
*I am already on stock running RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_ARA_2.17.415.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_275980_signed.exe

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid you can't use that RUU. The main versions do not match.
Code:
3.14.[I][B]401[/B][/I].27
2.17.[I][B]415[/B][/I].2
Wait for RUU that has x.xx.415.x version number.

more explanations would be great please , its obvious i am new to this

Yes, the version number must be exactly the same, except the 3.14 in the beginning.
3.14.415.2 would be the right version for you

Hi all,
I have a hardware issue with my htc desire and i need to send it back for warranty. I tried to follow the normal procedure to flash an offical rom but i get
an error 132 wrong signature.
I think its logic because i have leedroid_hd_v3.3.1_gb-r3
and its build number is 2.50.405.2 and the most recent ruu that i found is
RUU_Desire_C_Verizon_WWE_2.36.605.1_release_signed_with_driver.
my smalbandversion is
32.41.00.32u_4.08.00.09
kernel version
2.6.35.10-g308ba26
[v05]-snq-is still #1
Bravo ovt1 ship s-on
hboot-0.83.0001
microp-031d
touchpanel sybt 0101
radio-4.08.00.09
Do i need to downgrade my hboot or ?
Any advice on what i'm doing wrong is more than welcome!
create a goldcard, and then try again.

thnx for the fast answers but it's an unbranded phone so no point in using a goldcard..
Any other ideas ?

[Q] 1.29.708.9 to 1.29.401.11? Help Please :)

Hey everyone,
After realizing that flashing a custom rom doesn't actually update the phone on a whole I decided to go back to stock and update over OTA starting from 1.26.
My cid is HTC__622
My problem is that I'm not sure if I can update my phone to the latest version, 1.29.401.11.
I've updated from 1.26 -> 1.28 -> 1.29.708.9 but I can't seem to go any further.
Does anyone have this update? Or is this update just not available for my handset yet?
Thanks heaps
You don't have an EU handset so you get those with x.xx.708.x in them

Flashing Arabic RUU on an Asian One X

Hello everyone,
Few days ago I have bought HTC One X and it was reading Arabic and I can type Arabic so easy using a 3rd party keyboard app.
I figured out that I bought the Taiwanese version by mistake and all of the languages listed in the mobile is Enlgish (Taiwan) & other language with Chinese/Japanese symbols on it ( Not sure what Taiwan speaks )
I have tried to unlock my bootloader and root my phone so I can install a 35.X MB Arabic update but the phone failed to apply the update through recovery in HBOOT.
Here is the full details:
Phone Origins Asian
Phone Version 1.29.709.12
Bootloader Unlocked via HTCdev.com
Phone Status Rooted
RUU Version RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_ARA_1.29.415.11
My main question is: Is it possible to flash my phone using a Middle East RUU on an Asian HTC One X? Or the phone is going to crash? I need to know the steps.
Looking forwars to a kind reply,
Thanks a lot.
Anyone?

No, it is not possible as you will get a customer id error when you run the RUU. The phone will not crash as the RUU will never get installed.

Any plan B?
Thank you so much.
Since your device is rooted, either use the 3rd party keyboard app or flash a Custom ROM which support Arabic but I'm not sure which one in Dev's thread has Arabic support. Maybe someone else can recommend one for you.
Or anyone know where to get a custom ROM with ARA base.
me as well. I got the one from singapore. I want to use RUU of Australia. But seems no luck to do that
If its an Arabic ROM you want, you can flash a custom ROM based on the Arabic ROM. Link.
Super CCID the device and than you can flash any RUU!

Yes you can return to stock if your mid is same as that fw's mid ie your mid should be 0P6B10000 to receive otas.
Also if you want a custom as close to stock rom as possible then try mikes ARHD.It is 99% stock rom only debloated.
All EU M8_ULs have the same MID so it's no issue there
