[Q] Updating HTC One X - CID: OPTUS001 - HTC One X

Hello~
I've been trying for the past gawshdamn three hours to enable my phone to run Google's Jelly Bean software... but to no avail.
It's been a long time since I last rooted my phone and did all the technical actions; so I'm fairly behind on what to do and all.
First off, this is my current Software Information from Settings:
Android Version
4.0.3
HTC Sense Version
4.0
Software Number
Android Revolution HD 6.0.0 by mike1986
The phone is from Optus and I've rooted it and installed the custom rom.
My attempt:
I've tried to install the Optus OTA which I found...Only to find that it would be stupid to update an official OTA on a custom ROM.
I then tried looking for a custom ROM and found that there is none available for my model?
So I want to ask...
How do I update my phone to the JellyBean with Sense? Or is this option even available to me?
If no... how can I update my phone to the Jellybean without sense?
This is giving me such a headache tonight
I would appreciate help,
Thanks!

In the general section, go to stock cid backups thread and download the nanodroid backup for Optus. Then restore it on cmw recovery. This should get you back to stock.
And JB for Optus hasn't been released yet. It's eta is mid December but I highly doubt there will not be delays. The original eta was early December.

1.28 Software Update?

Hi guys. Iv had my One X for about 2 weeks now and over the last few days I have been rooting it and looking a different Roms. Basically I am with T-Mobile and they still haven't released the 1.28 software. I am wondering if there is anyway to get the update myself rather than waiting on them? My phone is rooted can I'm currently running LeeDroid 4.0.0
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium HD app
I think you can update your firmware to 1.28.401.9 (Europe Firmware) here you would need to add your CID to the list. Have a look, read the instructions thoroughly before you start.
Can't be done, you HAVE to be running x.xx.401.x - you can't debrand without S-OFF
As the OP is running LeeDroid (which is based on 1.28) then you're better off sticking with that

HTC ONE X OTA updates

Hey.. I have a Australian HTC ONE X that runs OPTUS ROM
"RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_Optus_AU_1.29.980.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260560_signed"
Android Version 4.0.3 and Sense 4.0 and i recently saw posts saying Android 4.0.4 and Sense 4.1 released to HTC ONE x... but when i try to search updates it wont show any updates.. [ checked before root the phone ]
HERE ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606676
i have found the official OTA updates collection. Can I install that in my one X?
OPTUS (AUS)

at the moment mine is rooted. if i can install the OTA update.. please show me the guide to install it ...
thank u
Optus has asked HTC to withhold the OTA as there are unresolved issues, I wouldn't recommend flashing it at the moment.
Whats the issue?
I'm on 2.17.980 with no problems so far.
Phone is so responsive now.
Here it is anyway.

Edit. Just read that some ppl have had to reset default apn settings after update.
I didn't but.......
So worth it.

O2_102 & ahrd 17.1?

Can I simply flash AHRD 17.1 on my HTC One X(o2_102)?
I tried to find more information on the other threads but I found no real answer...
Im on HBOOT 0.96, is there any way to update?
No, you have to wait for o2 to update you to JB, then you can go custom

Why is that so? Just askin'

At the moment JB is only out on unbranded handsets. To run JB you have to have the update firmware but this is only available on unbranded handsets that have had the JB update. Until you get the update from your carrier you won't be able to run a JB ROM based on Sense

[Q] Assitance very much appreciated.

Hi.
As much as I really like the xda forums, I am having real trouble searching for my answer. Maybe I am thinking illogically!
I am in U.K. on Vodafone.
My CID is VODAP001
Android version 4.0.4
HTC Sense version 4.1
I have installed Android Revolution HD 9.4.1
If relevant, my HTC SDK API level is 4.23
In a nutshell, I am hoping to install JB update - either the official Vodafone one, or possibly Revolution (if I can figure out if that is fully functional for my device).
I hoped that Vodafone would have released the OTA update before now. But I don't know if my install of Revo is stopping my device from automatically looking for updates.
I thought I would be able to go to settings/about/software and search for updates, but that option doesn't seem to be available (is Revolution switching this feature off?)
So:
Is it worth me trying to roll back to stock, and manually check for updates periodically?
(If so, please could someone point me to a recent no brainer post on how to do this?)
Or:
Does the latest JB release of Revolution work with my model/network?
(If so, do I need to roll back to stock and start from scratch, or can I "update" my current version.
Whilst I am not totally noob to all this, I do find it slightly daunting, and I can't always tell which threads are the most relevant or up to date, so please excuse me if my questions are obvious to you. I just find that after a while on XDA I have loads of tabs and it all gets a bit backwardy and forwardy!
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Your CID has not yet received the official HTC jellybean update. This means that you will NOT be able to get an update from vodafone and also you wont be able to flash Android revollution HD 17.0 (Jellybean).
You will have to wait for HTC to roll out the official JB update for your device.
And none of the custom ROMS (including ARHD 17.0) support OTA update feature. You can update your device OTA ONLY and ONLY if you are on stock ROM, stock recovery and stock kernel.

Unless it's a future Revolution (or similar) release?

There are custom ROMs that support OTA, but ARHD is not one.

Just got myJelly Bean update on a UK HTC One X Cid_001 version. 6pm tonight, pinged HTC for software updates and up came a little one. Then came the big one.
Took a good 30 minutes from start to finish to download but well worth the wait. Hugely faster, smoother, quicker flciking between apps, much faster app start-up. People were saying before, what's the bother, nowt wrong with ICS, but I can tell you this is massively quicker. Not much more to it than that really. Few more graphics, etc, but it's just the speed.
What? There are at least 500 jellybean threads, and you've just started Nr 501...

as nitrous says, no need to start new thread - ideally wants to be merged with the other main thread
