SwiftKey Sluggish - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I'm running Jellyverse and I've noticed that when using SwiftKey sometimes the letters won't pop up or word suggestions load slow. Sometimes it won't notice I've input a word for a dew seconds. Is this normal? I'm really not that fast of a typist either.

swift key flow is in beta, normal swift key isnt. but if you are using flow, then what you expect its a beta. but if you running regular swift key i would wipe app data and do a reinstall, that fixes my app problems 95% of the time

Epic Keyboard Buttons Fix...

I remember seeing a fix on the Desktop version for that button pressing delay issue where keys you press don't get pressed when you type very fast, and I usually type at 100 miles/hr. I think its time I fix that, does anyone have a link to that? Much appeciated.

Swype

I really like Swype, but I'm getting sea sick watching my screen. Any idea how to fix this from Swype.
Screen goes up and down when typing

If you're talented like me you don't even have to look at the screen to know what you're typing

Haha i guess that is my only option. It does it more when I'm text messaging. I did try taking word suggestion off (unchecked it) but it didn't work. I think that is what is causing the up and down on the screen
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Also to fix it go to the settings app then language and input then click swype settings then go to prefences then word suggestion and uncheck word suggestion and show suggested word but keep auto-correction checked if you want to keep auto correction on

Thanks for the info. I tried that and it didn't work. i have all the settings unchecked and the suggested word still continues to come out.

lulz? I too would like to find a fix to this problem. Using the Swype keyboard... for Swype...
---------- Post added at 02:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:15 PM ----------
Actually I just found this version of Swype
https://www.dropbox.com/s/88ar62071w8ghr0/SWYPE-ICS.apk
which is version 3.26.92.39062.
This version seems to solve the problem by keeping the suggestion bar continuously active. Kinda lame, but better than constantly resizing. Also, the accent color is blue instead of that cool orange...
Yes I'm using the Samsung keypad

You have to root, (backup and) remove current version with something like Titanium backup, reboot, then install.

Bugs on Chrome

Anyone else having a bug on Chrome that when typing in a search bar and you press space it deletes the word?

Been using chrome since the day I got my galaxy. On stock rom and cm9. Haven't had any problems.

I usually use some windex and paper towels to get the bugs of chrome
on a serious note...
yeah that happens to me sometimes.

I have a problem occasionally when I got to delete a word in search it just adds the last few letters of the word before it over and over like this: applepplpplpplpplpplppl just as an example have to lock phone and cut back on to fix

Ya this happens for me with Swiftkey and Chrome. But I think it's only on the Google search because the auto corrects are somehow messing each other up. It does not seem to do it when you search with the address bar.

Keyboard app

Anyone have any good suggestions or experiences with a decent keyboard replacement. Looking for something with a compact qwerty, as I'm used to HTC.

And if you can get it, SwiftKey Flow beta is major improvement to an already great keyboard app.

Great, I'll check it out. I tried Jelly Bean Keyboard Pro, but it wouldn't responded to double key presses for the 2nd letter, so I gave that one up. I'm sorta becoming partial to the swipe though.

^^^This. I used swype for over a year. I will never look back.

I've been using SwiftKey x and SwiftKey tablet for the last couple years or so. The suggestions are usually pretty accurate and the new feature of this version which will auto correct when several words are typed together without spaces is awesome.
Just wanted to mention Kii Keyboard. It seems pretty good so far and has a layout like a tablet with the number keys in the center
There is a jelly bean keyboard in the market that I use

Autocorrect

Ok so after the keyboard update I noticed that it doesn't recognize words such as I've, you'd, I'd, etc. I had to manually add them. It still doesn't recognize you'd even after adding it. Also, if I end a sentence with the word at, after typing a period, it changes to e.g.
Wow, so yea the keyboard is all messed up. Up at the end of a sentence is changes to U.K. Typing the word end switches to 32nd. Wtf is wrong with it? Some other word I typed switches to 92nd and if I type a question mark after it, it switches to "yt?"
I've also never had to go back and edit as much as I had to just typing the previous post.
Yeah the stock keyboard autocorrect is pretty dumb and gets in the way more than helping. I finally had to erase the history on mine because it was so frustrating. I will probably install Kii keyboard or Google keyboard.

I did a factory reset and am sticking with the keyboard version it came with. Works fine for me. I also don't like the way they changed the Swype in the update either.
