Hello Note 2 user!
I'm planning to buy the Note 2 in january and I love to play games with the PS3 Controller.
After I found out that the Note 2 is compatible with the PS3 controller I found gameklip.
Gameklip is aviable for the note 2 but I want to use a usb cable instead of bluetooth connection.
(Battery, comfot etc.).
But the price of the gameklip with the cable is a little bit too high because I don't want any trouble with the cutoms (they almost send my 18 USD t-shirt back to the USA because they wasn't sure if the bills are correct).
But I believe I found the exact same cable that the gameklip uses on ebay too!
And does the Note 2 charge the PS3 controller?
I hope not...
Here is the link to the cable:

It would be very nice If you could tell me if it would work.
Thank you for reading!

Just bought my LTE Nexus (Brand New for 450 on off ebay SCORE!!). I picked up an OEM extended battery from VZW today ($25), shortly after I order a SGP Flex screen protector($17.99) and an Otterbox commuter case($18.50) from amazon. What other accessories would I need?
You don't "need" any accessories, it depends on what you use your device for, excluding what you already bought...
If you play a lot of games, you might look into buying a Bluetooth controller (such as the PS3 one) and an app that will allow the controller to work (Sixaxis controller)
If you want to watch movies on your tv from your phone, you'll want to look into a Micro-USB to HDMI adapter
If you want the Nexus to act like a USB host, you'll need a USB-OTG cable and compatible app (such as stickmount)
If you don't want to take off your case to replace your battery when you're running low on charge, you might want to look into a portable battery charger (they come in all sizes)
Thanks, I already have the PS3 controller. I'm looking at the adapter for the HDMI and I'm unfamiliar with the USB host and the perks of it.
Here's an example HDMI adapter (keep in mind the charger itself needs power to function and it won't charge your phone at the same time): http://www.amazon.com/MHL-ATC-Certified-Supports-Sensation/dp/B0063J9F6C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327587031&sr=8-1
USB OTG is useful if you want to hook up a USB flash driver directly to your device and mount it, I just picked one up the other day and it's pretty cool. Here's the USB OTG cable I got http://www.amazon.com/T-Flash-Adapter-Samsung-GT-i9100-GT-N7000/dp/B005FUNYSA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327587128&sr=1-1
Looking for some help regarding TV-Out functionalities with my Captivate Glide.
What are the available functions on this phone (MHL, TV-Out...)?
And would any of these three be suitable for my phone?

Thank you.
I know that MHL to hdmi + hdmi cable works on my att captivate glide. I love playing n64/SNES/gba games on a 30+ inch screen TV

its pretty simple. BUY an MHL cable online, and when you recieve it, connect the micro usb from the cable to your phone. on the other side of the cable/adapter is a female hdmi, where you can plug in your hdmi cable in. The MHL cable may need a power source such as a micro usb (the one you use to charge your phone) so you might need to plug that into the MHL cable. basically it gives your phone hdmi through the usb charge port

Yes I have 1 and it has to be powered via the MicroUSB to the MHL adapter. Sometimes it works great other times I have an issue getting it to display on the HDMI monitor. I bought my MHL adapter from Monoprice.com for about 12$.

Thanks for your help everyone, I'll be purchasing an MHL/USB soon.
Do any of you Captivate Glide owners know if this phone is supported by the sixaxis controller app? (using PS3 controllers on android via Bluetooth)
If not, if any of you have a chance could you test this out?
This is the testing app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...Rpb3Muc2l4YXhpc2NvbXBhdGliaWxpdHljaGVja2VyIl0.

I found out myself, according to the developer PS3 controllers are supported via bluetooth on any phone with bluetooth 2.1 or above running an AOSP-based custom rom.

hi folks
Is it possible to screen mirror image from my phone (SII 4.0.4 ) to a Samsung 32C5000 TV via LAN ? I'm looking for fomething like screenshare or smartview , btw these do not working with my tv. Allshare doesn;t have any of these options just playing files. It would be really cool to play virtua tennis / nes games with usb controller on the tv.
I'm also interested in this. But I have a Samsung Smart TV Series 8. I have tried searching all over, but I never found a way...

You could just get an mhl cable???
The idea is to use the gamepad in the microUSB port with an OTG adapter so MHL isn't an option. Also wireless offers some form of freedom meaning I'm not limited to using cables.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller bluetooth ps3 controller and mhl?
Currently I have a Logitech Dual Action which is USB cabled but I am considering about buying that ps3 controller.
Can you tell me what's the difference between these two adapters?

2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Black-M..._MobilePhoneDataCables_JN&hash=item41729ff31c
Number 1 looks right
Number 2 is an adapter to turn the s3's micro USB port into an s2's, as Samsung changed the way mhl worked on s3 so you couldn't use s2 mhl cable
Just so you're aware mhl requires stock ROM and the cable must be connected to a power source as well to work.
Hmm ,.I think I'll buy the first but what if I decide to change my phone? Will it work with another Android S3 or maybe some HTC dunno ?
No problem regarding firmware as I am not a fan of custom roms.
The cable won't work on s3 as the cable is 5 pins and s3 is something like 12 but there's adapters available like number 2
Screen mirroring is possible
screen mirroing is capable in phones Galaxy s3 and above and it can be easily ported in galaxy s2 if neatROM develpoers thinks its a worthy feature like they did in feature (Multi - Window) which was also supported in phones Galaxy s3 and above...
I want for the EDD-S20JWEGSTA to work on this tablet, but from what I hear it doesn't.
Is there any work around method to get HDMI, a usb hub, and charging at the same time?
I would love to be able to play my psp games with an x-box 360 controller, with the games stored on an external hard drive, on my tv through HDMI, without having to worry about the battery level.
Even just the HDMI and charging at the same time would be fine as I could just use a ps3 controller through Bluetooth and buy a 64GB micro SD.
Links to verified to work products would be the absolute best.
Bump!
Really? No one has a verified working product that has HDMI out and charges at the same time?
Any one trying to figure out why the smart dock that works with the Note 2, Note 3, Mega, and S4 (EDD-S20JWEGSTA) doesn't work with this tablet?
I've actually been looking for something along those lines my self, with limited luck
Hey Guys,
I just found this cool Accessory at Best Buy its the Micro USB/USB Connector Model: EPL-AU10WEGXAR. Like many of you I wanted the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 to be a full fledge Computer with its super fast processor and Multi-Task capabilities. The way I have mine set up is as so. I bought the Moko Leather Case from Amazon flipped it around since don't really use the camera plug the Micro USB and then at the end is a Female USB that I use to plug in my mouse. I bought a HP Keyboard that I assume was meant for some windows device but I truly only got it because of the size. Like me I most of you guys know the struggle of not being able to find any accessories. The Adapter was only $20. Now I know we all could prefer the Samsung Media Dock with the 3 USBs PLUS charging to work but for now this a inexpensive workaround. Wired Mice are like $5, Bluetooth Keyboards go as cheap as $20 on Amazon, and the Adapter is only $20. So There you have $55 for the hardware not including the case. Im sure theres plenty of cheap options for cases. If you guys have any Questions feel free to ask.
