I just got a certified like new replacement due to my horrible reception and the reception on the new one is much better so im going to stay stock on it for the time being until JB is fully released by Verizon.
Because I'm thinking of just chilling with stock ICS too.

x2. Curious as well.
Stock JB 4.1.1 OTA'ed from ICS, love it, still haven't found a reason to do anything beyond flashing CWM and rooting!
Tried others, back to stock rooted....perfect the way it is!

Stock Ics, unlocked and rooted. Waiting for Verizon to release jellybean so I can manually update my nexus.
I'm running stock with one change. Custom soft keys.

Does anyone know if there is one yet?
Second this.

Its odd that there isn't one yet.
I just pushed my own update using the ones posted in the update thread. Stock and rooted.
The problem is staring with a custom ROM wanting stock jb.

My suggestion would be Odin FG01 and then use FG01 to FG05.
I updated my takju gnex to 4.2 by flashing the factory image (wiped user data as well). Everything is working great for last 2-3 days but my WiFi n BT sometimes auto disconnect and then connect again and on its own.
Could this be due to new radio ? Can I just flash radio from 4.1.2 on 4.2 ?

No reply so far...looks like I am the only one with this problem.
Is it safe to flash just radio from 4.1.2 on 4.2 ?

Thanks for the reply. I will try to file a bug report for this. I bought nexus because I wanted to avoid using custom rom and on the latest android version but I guess being on the latest is version is not always the best option .

Are you rooted or stock? If you're stock, I would root as and flash instead of waiting on Verizon. You might be waiting a while if you're waiting on them.

I'm stoke still. I want too root so I can run code name android ROM. I really like it. But my computers broke right now. So I guess I'll just have to wait then.

no need to root; push all needed files to phone, reboot bootloader, flash a custom recovery, wipe data/factory reset, flash a custom rom (gapps if stated on first post)
To my SD card or something?

do I have 2 unroot & how do I do it & is it really important that I install the stock update & why??
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
Are you asking how to go about installing the update, or are you asking if it's better than running whatever custom ROM you are currently using?
If you're asking whether it's better than the ROM you are currently running, that's a matter of opinion. Personally I have not tried the official Jelly Bean update, and I don't think I am going to. I like what I am using now (AOKP 4.2.2) and I don't like the T-Mobile bloatware. I know you can get rid of it, but why bother with the hassle if you have a ROM that you know works and you like?
Thanks......I have a few in 4.2.2 ROMs but if you're saying that it's not important that I install the stock rom & zip then I won't..... Thks

No, it's not important that you install it. There are advantages and disadvantages to stock vs. custom. It's up to you. Do you like touchwiz or do you like "pure" Android better? Do you need Wifi calling?
I have slimbean 4.2.2 & aokp installed & I like them both....wifi calling is not that important to me
