Hi all
I have a strange issue when I take a photo the pictures goes to a folder called camera which is ok but then I take a few more and the photo goes to another folder called camera. So I have 2 folders in the gallery called camera. I dont know why this is happening it seems like a few photos goes to the sd and a few to the phone. Does anyone know how to solve it
Thanks
Have you set your phone to put normal photos on the sd card? If so then that might be what's happening, as burst shots and screenshots are put on to the internal memory by default, hence you have 2 camera folders, one on the sd card and one on the internal memory.

The issue is that it happens when the burst shot is off

So MIUIv4.1.2 was just released for our phones.
I have heard that the external mount is wonky, but somehow, people can see their sd card in file explorer. However, there are still many who cannot. The temporary solution is using Directory Bind and bind the target directory to a directory on the internal sd. On my phone, that temporary is not working at all. Anyone experiencing the same issue or have come up with another workaround?
This is only a pet peeve because I enjoy listening to music on my phone. It is not a huge deal.
Thanks!
did you update? this has already been fixed no need for directory bind... only issue now is usb mount the computer will only see internal. The music player should see both internal and external now.

weird... it isn't showing my attachments.. but yes! i am updated and I even wiped the old version, cache, data and all just to make sure it was a clean install.
When I said nevermind... I meant the thumbnail attachments, not my music and pictures. Doh... sorry about the confusion

Well that's the other thing... in file explorer I can click the pulldown and see "two" SD card directories; one that is my internal and one the is my external. Yet, for some reason the music app and gallery will not scan it.

You put .nomedia files anywhere to get rid of the media scanner bug? Because that sounds like the issue.

When I take a single shot, it saves to the ext card, but burst shots save to the phone. Is there a setting I'm overlooking to save all photos to the ext card?

I'm going to just throw this out there but I don't think that external sd card would have the same write speed as the internal.
Especially for all the data that would have to be written during a burst of our awesome camera.
Can anyone else with a bit more knowledge maybe input their two cents. Thank you in advance!

My extSdCard gives better bench marks than the internal does. I have a UHS-1. But I too would be interested in this. I usually move my pics to external after a day or two.

No there is no setting for this.
Burst shot is too fast for external SD card.
The latency is too much.

Some pictures save on the Internal SD storage. Not sure where you're looking or what you're looking at. When you say you have pictures saved on the card, were these pictures you took with the camera or transferred to the external sd card from a message or social media site? Are you seeing this from settings>storage>sd card? Need a little more information before any one can actually help.
All my pictures are save to the sd card, on the noticie bar it has a micro sd card with a! Mark on it

I currently have a rooted and unlocked s4. I have over 100 pictures in my sd card but my gallery is empty. I've moved the pictures around to other files and folders and still nothing. Any ideas, and thanks in advance.

If it's your external sd then it might be defective and need to format it if it's in the phone then connect to ur computer and move them and then format your internal storage and then move them back in it and it should fix it

Before doing anything too drastic, go to settings, manage apps, all apps, and find media storage.. Clear the data, give it a minute and take a picture.. Check your gallery again and everything should be up.

Got it. What I did was take the micro sd card. I placed it on a dynex micro sd card reader and connected the reader to my Mac. I then opened disk utilities. It found the sd card and ran the verify disk. It came back with errors. I then ran the repair disk, and I ran it again for good measure. I reinstalled my memory card back in my phone and my pictures are back in the gallery.

Also when I first put the card back in my phone it gave me an error. I took it out put it back in and it works flawless.

try download clean master from playstore and delete junk files. hope it make some space on your sd card
sorry for my bad English
maybe chache causes your problem . Try no to use apps like Facebook or Twitter, these apps eat lot of space, use friendcaster or tweetcaster or etc .
Clean Master, use it
