Would it not be easier to download a keyboard that supports hebrew?
The keyboard I am using seems to have it inbuilt

English version sales in HK

The English version sales in Hong Kong this time has multiple language input method. All UI is in English but on the keyboard there is a key for user to switch between Chinese & English input method. The English fonts is standard Tahoma but the Chinese fonts is AR HeiU20 Medium (grey) which is very ugly. I suggest any user change the Chinese Fonts and I found that SC_Song is the best.
Moved Post To General Forum.
Especially with the title i can't directly see if it needs to be in Rom Development?

I think the default Chinese font is fine.
But if you want some Chinese fonts, contace me, I can send you some since I'm using Chinese Vista plus English MUI.
To change the font, just put the font in "\Windows" and make some changes in "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink"

Hey, I like how HTC applied new chinese input methods for english systems. But they didn't provide any transcribe method. Any good software suggestions? Will CE-Star conflict with the new input methods? Thanks for any help!

Did you mean Chinese hand-writing IME ?
Though I rarely use, but I‘ve got some, like 漢王手寫(HangWang Hand-writing), 三星手寫(SAMSUNG), 蒙恬手写(PenPower), etc..
of course when you search for these IMEs, you'd better Google them with Chinese keywords or it will return less results.
BTW: In fact, I'm now using the Chinese font in official Diamond ROM on my Pro2. It's better than the default Chinese font.

Hey, thanks! Nice to talk to members with the same backgrounds. He he he... Your information is very useful.
What's the difference in the fonts? Is the Diamond one better? any screen dumps?
Did you guys get a CE-Star install CD with your English version TP2?
hi, Singaporean Chinese here. We have the A4 chinese input method installed by default on the Rhodium. Noticed that I cannot input 'PinYin' using the hardware Qwerty keyboard and have to use the touchscreen kb.
How about HKG? Do you have the same software? If yes, is this a software limitation?

Nope, didn't get the CS-Star CD. Because you are able to use the keyboard to input chinese words.
You have 4 options:
1. ZhuYin
2. PinYin
3. CangJie
4.Stroke
I don't know why they didn't provide a transcribe version, so I can just write on the screen. I am no good with the keyboard.
I want to install CE-Star but don't know if it will conflict with current Chinese inputting methods.

Try installing CE-Star v2.8 R3c.
From what I read previously, Diamond2 was bundled with CE-Star despite having Chinese support, but I don't know anyone with one in person to confirm this.

PlumSIP works great on my X1, I always flash it with English roms and put Yahei fonts on it.
you need to set up the for the "keycode.ini" if you wanna use your keyboard well for you xperia anyway
Brilliant piece of input. Thanks. I have been looking for ages.
After installing plumsip, do i need to install anything else? All the characters appear as empty squares

Alright, for WWE rom of X1, download and install Ce-Star 2.8c, brought you by Mobem. While installing, do not tick any SIP comes with the software. After installation, reboot, install either "PlumSIP V6.1" or "sogou Pinyin for mobile". for plumsip supports hard keyboard while sougou pinyin supports vast words of popular. they all comes with PinYin style of inputing. for handwriting style, use which comes with CE-Star as "手写输入".
Thanks guys, the only problem now is how to stop plumsip from changing my font. It changes it to this Times New ROman like font and makes certain things, like smses very small. Tried to change back to tahoma in xperiatweak but it doesnt work

Definitely the Sogou PinYin support hardware keyboard. I always use it on my X1i. It's the best IME I used. Just forget all other IMEs
try CE star 2.8, i'm using it, no problem with wm 6.5 so far

[Q] REQ: danish keyboard

looking for a danish keyboard layout (with the 3 extra letters from the danish alfabet). searched here but could not find one...
I have a version for my HD2, which basically consists of a few Manila files that need to be replaced.
You can use Scandinavian Keyboard, that you will find in market. It's working very well. And it is free
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
You can sign up for a Swype beta. Yes I know it's a little diffferent to write with swype, but it's so much faster... I love swype

I just tried it
Its really nice
life sure is easier in Android Land.
it runs smoother, it runs about 3 times faster than WinMO (on the same device!), and essential add-ons like keyboard are available on Market, instead of windows hacks.
tnx!
Is it possible to hack the slideIT layout? I have to click 3 or 4 times to insert a smiley, and I have that stupid graffiti button there, that would be a good place for a smiley button..
Oups sorry. The beta doesn't support danish. But the version that's newer that around here does...
Har du lyst til at prøve en swype med dansk, så send mig en PM.

I was annoyed about that too, but after a quick look at the userguide I came to this solution:
when you are in the symbols keyboard, you will find the "thumbtack button" in the upper right corner.
activating this will do the trick, it makes you stay in symbols keyboard, so you don't have to enter the symbols keyboard 3-4 times to make a smiley
Give the user manual for slideIT a try, it's really useful for understanding the full features of slideIT

Additional (custom) add-on dictionaries in the 4.2 keyboard?

hi guys,
is there a way to add custom add-on dictionaries to the new 4.2 keyboard, so that i can use the gesture input for other languages, too. english and german i have solved with the built-in, already available options, but i would need additionally hungarian and romanian, for example.
any solution until google will come with an update and add these languages?

i was thinking maybe it could be solved by copying the dictionary files from swype or swiftkey to where Android keeps the dictionary files and have like that additional dictionaries installed, in order to use the gesture based input method with other languages than what Google offers atm officially.
did any1 try this, or is there any other custom method?
any news on this?
