My ex wife finally upgraded to ICS on her Xperia S recently and she is having a slight problem.
Even without touching the phone it randomly opens up her contacts list. It's doing it quite a lot and is starting to piss her off.
Any ideas? It's not rooted or anything, it's just stock ICS from Orange UK.

My dad bought a xperia arc from newegg and every time he tries to use google maps it force closes and gets the sleep of death and also when he put it on the charger for a long period of time. We sent it back to newegg for another and the new one has the same problem as the last. The phones came with 2.3.3 so I updated to the latest 2.3.4 stock rom and still have the same problem as before. I have no clue what the problem is but was wondering if anyone else hase had this problem and knows a fix for it. I would like to stick with stock for awhile before going custom.
Hey all got my gn gsm from mobicity au about two weeks and today I had something strange happen.
I was at work got a SMS the phone started to make a tone but very slowly and it repeated it ( which is strange) then I put in my pin and unlocked my phone to find that its lagging like crazy, home screens are sticking and freezing . So I reboot, once rebooted the phone tells me that the ics launcher has stopped working, and its still lagging can't open settings.
So once again I restart and take out battery this time all is well, battery went down 10% at that tine also.
I'm on 4.0.1 Google build all stock.
Any one else have this issue?

Hello everyone, does anyone here have shaky or wobbly compass and gyroscope function? For me this is most noticeable while using apps like Google Sky Maps, Street View, GPS Status, and more. Vertical panning while using Sky Maps and Street View is not smooth and zigs and zags back and forth horizontally. The compass is also shaky and sometimes can be inaccurate by up to 45 degrees!
I first noticed this problem on my first et4g that I got back in December, and with that phone the problem persisted through different roms, including the GB versions of MIJJz BLEND, Calkulin's, and Blazers, and ICS versions of MIJJz BLEND and Calkulin's.
After that phone died (didn't power on at all, no led, no charging, nothing) and got it replaced from Sprint, I kept my new phone on EL29 stock. The problem is the shaky and wobbly motions are still here! At first I just thought it was my first phone's hardware, but after getting my second phone, I am wondering if all et4g's have this issue. Even my HTC Hero (that thing still fully works and is awesome) is smooth like butter and is accurate. any ideas?
Also, I did not root my second et4g (might as well wait for OTA ICS), and did not test to see if it is solved on the AOSP and AOKP roms.
I've got a Verizon G'NEX and I flashed DroidViscious's 4.1.1v1 rom with Franco's kernel about a month ago and everything was smooth sailing up until last week. I've been experiencing random instances of my screen freezing for about 10 seconds followed by my device rebooting. Upon startup right after a reboot I can enter my pattern lock and then it freezes immediately after and reboots (I can tell it's responsive during the unlocking of the pattern because of the haptic feedback). This will happen several times before I'm able to get back to the homescreen without it freezing.
I thought there was a problem with the rom since it was an older build Jelly Bean so I wiped the device and flashed the latest build of Pete's BuglessBeast using his default kernel hoping that would solve the problem. Unfortunately it didn't. I'm still experiencing these random freezes and reboots and the only way I can get it to boot without freezing is to pull the battery out for a couple of minutes and try again.
I'm wondering if the device is thinking it's getting too hot so it shuts down but I don't really have any way of knowing (it happens a lot when I'm in the car or when the phone is charging). Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is and how to resolve it? Or any ideas on how I can debug the problem myself? It's happening fairly often now when I need my phone the most.
The phone isn't even a year old so if relock the bootloader and return it to stock it should be covered under warranty still if there's a hardware issue.
Well, this problem seems to be exclusive to Jelly Bean. I reverted back to ICS and everything seems to be fine. Is anyone else having this problem with Jelly Bean roms?
yeah I get alot of random reboots and some freezes here and there. not sure what it is. but i have to gsm version gnex.
I'll go back to the very beginning. I bought my Sony Xperia Acro S 1.5 half years ago. After a month it started to get slower and slower. Apps didn't crash, it usually get stuck in one action and snap out of it after a minute, it was pretty annoying. I decided to flash a custom ROM few months ago because i thought it would fix it. I was wrong. It just got worse. I flashed an Android Lollipop 5.0 by some ''dirtypaul'' . Now my apps crash all the time ( YouTube, Twitch, Google Chrome, Games, everything). Phones keyboard often doesn't even pop up. I can use youtube and twitch for about 5-10 minutes before it crashes. It kinda fixes for 30min when i restart my phone. It is really annoying and i don't know what to do. I live in a third world country so maybe i just got a faulty phone? Any tips or solutions on how to fix this will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance
I also have the same device as yours last March I installed his ROM 5.0 and I didn't found any bug and it's working incredibly great but I didn't like it that much so I came back to the original stock acro S ROM but after a month I also get stuck and the phone always get lag so I came back to BPaul Lollipop ROM and found out it has already released a new updated version 5.1.1 lag free and working incredibly good.. ?
