What are the 2 error icons on the top left of the screen?
Digitizer damaged. Go change em.
It looks like you digitizer is damaged. Have you tried other keyboards?
The keyboard I use (Messagease) can be moved (left/right/middle) which wouldn't fix your screen but would enable you to write.
holy crap, what thing cause digitizer to be damaged? and how can i fix that?

Reasons I can't tell lol. Uhm you need to disassemble you device and replace it or you can revert fully stock relock boot loader ( if you have custom Rom and unlocked bootloader) then send to Sony

No way to know for sure without physical inspection.
If I had to guess I'd say the cable connecting the screen may have come loose.

Yeah. Was about to think that cable too. Gotta wait till i get opening kit and report after!
Okay, after disassembling and investigating i found the problem.
When i press this part of the phone with finger(red circle), it starts to flicker and bug like in the video above..
What this cable actually does, and how i could fix it..? Is it connecting to screen? Didnt found good guide to disassemble more so didnt do it.
Do i need to replace whole piece of phone.. (rounded with cyan color)?
without the back cover it works way better than with it.

My brother has this widget/icon on his rooted S III and I'm trying to identify it so that I can eliminate it. It will move from screen to screen, and when you touch it it powers the phone off. Anyone have any idea what it is or how to get it off the screen?

This may sound stupid but have you tried long pressing on it and then dragging it into the garbage bin?

I haven't physically seen it or been able to play with it myself, but he said that whenever he touched it that it would power off the machine. And, to be frank, it is one of those cases where the phone has become smarter than the owner, so trying to diagnose this remotely has been a challenge. LOL But I think my nephew figured it out as some kind of power app that he'd installed.
hi guys,
I accidentaly sat on the screen. Now the screen isnt shattered or anything, and it responds to the power button. but the screen is almost completely dark with stripes. is it a broken digitizer or the lcd unit ? or the complete package

Hi there
I have changed the cracked display from my i8160.
Everything was fine, no issues with the disassemble of the phone. I changed the glass and reassembled the Phone
I changed the glass and reassembled the ace2.
Now i try to start with the power button
What happens?
The screen is on, the Samsung Boot Splash appears and the the text blurs. (See Screenshot):crying:
Any one has an idea what could be the issue? Hardware or Software?
Hopefully not the Hardware... ;-(

Are you using GB or JB ?
If GB:
maybe you got new display driver (s6d...) which is not turned on on GB kernels
Can you enter to downlaod mode without that flicekring ?
If JB
Which ROM are u using?
I am afraid that it is hardware problem :/

Hi y'all, i recently ordered a T-mobile version of the G3 online. Opened the package and booted it up. Everything worked out of the box but then i noticed something. No sound! I tried adjusting the volume settings then it froze. Did some glitch that it load parts of the screen and go back to swipe to unlock. After which a factory reset made the Marshmellow OS run stable again. It is likely a hardware issue, perhaps damage to the part of motherboard. Microphone doesn't work and there are no sounds at all. How could i tell where malfunction is on the main board/chip? I would appreciate a suggestion on what could be done about this issue. [emoji20]

Send it to an engineer in hardware because you may broke some importants parts and explain hin the problem. Is the best option.

Your right - an engineer will be able to pin point what kind of damage has been done and where on the chipboard.
