Saturday, a couple weeks before Christmas. Makes sense that it's quiet. I was in BB this evening and was messing with the E970. I only had a chance to notice a built in quad core optimization in the settings. IDK what this really mean, but I am certain the kernel is prepped for external controls. I already have a kernel ready actually, just need the mounts so I can make a zip and we can haz our first home brew kernel.

He might, but he's out right now. I'm looking into it right now. I believe his is a repack with some added functionality like init.d and adb root. I have a copy of it. Mine is a source built and will have OC/UV and maybe some added governors. You mentioned kernel love, I want to tap into that app. Can you point me to a system image so I can tear it apart? For LG it's called a TOT right? What does that stand for?

Impossible unless htc wants to give us the source code for htc sense. The open sense sdk. Is for the most making sense more usable for making apps specifically for sense.

I used to be pretty close to you guys when I lived in West Lafayette (Fort Wayne before that). But I moved to NC in December, couldn't take another midwest winter. I thought you had a phone coming to you bubby?

I am fairly sure that I've seen a video of a guy using the E4GT usb as host. The only item we're missing is a software driver the manufacturer's support, as in exactly the device compatibility...

One page on samsung's site says it is compatible. There's a link in that section to the usb adapter and a box on that page to see if your model is compatible. Enter sph-d710 and the response is it isn't compatible. WTF, which is it?

Oh yeah, to the OP, you should change the thread title, cause you don't have an app for that, Canonical does, and it's not gonna be an app, that just wouldn't be possible, it's gonna be a full os that'll essentially dualboot, and from the looks of things it's integrated with android pretty well, which means that there's a LOT of work too be done on the Hardware manufacturer's end, or we'll need some amazing dev's too do a lot of work, and even then, i can't imagine being able too flash roms and have it work, i think we'll probably see a rom or two eventually created with Ubuntu baked in, i don't think we'll ever see an apk we can install and boom! Ubuntu! That would be nice though.

+1. This is what I understood when I read about it. It's not going to be an app to install on current phones. It'll be integrated by the mfg on select phones. Also, It is said to only work when docked, so you may not be able to access the ubuntu features directly on the phone. Still could be very interesting.

Man I got in to this whole fiasco with a couple Samsung reps back in December because I bought the adapter and it didn't work.
Long story short they had no answer. even offered to replace my phone and adapter but I declined

Ahh..after seeing the skyrocket thread, I see not much at all works.
I actually already had it on my hercules but it was from xboarder and I could not find the right kernel. but it was running. What is working in this? xboarders did not have data or any signal for that matter and a few other things but wifi did work? I cant wait it is only a matter of time now before someone gets it going for us I hope soon whoever does it is going to get a nice donation from me anyway.

Go to link for bugs and further details. Basically nothing works but what you see in the screenshots, it won't really rotate back to portrait mode once in landscape without setting the phone flat and unlocking it again.
yea xboarders 3rd preview has wifi working it was nice i browsed a little, browser is fast as sh%t. anyways that was last week but good job jo and who ever else is on this

Funny how there arent even CM alphas yet these guys are makin progress.
I'm be honest there won't be a fully properly working one till graphics drivers are released and proper source is released. I don't know what is rush to have ice cream sandwich. All the other devices have leaks when our device get a leak you will also start to see ics roms. The hp touchpad has extremely hacked android drivers. This is why cm is probably still not releasing alpha for the certain devices. There not reliable to work effectively and efficiently.

jomiester15 mentioned in his thread that he might have alpha2 in the next few days so we might see call network in his build soon.
The reason there is no cm9 alphas is because cyans team hasn't even started on these phones yet until source drops

I flashed it and its all true. It will boot but everything on the bugs list is true. I didnt flash a different kernel. It is very unstable but the fact that we got something rolling for ics on our gs2 is AWESOME!!!!!

So the part I am confused on is why did you have a webcam on your roof?
I once had a family of squirrels move into my attic, which can be a big problem especially if they chew on the wiring. I ended up live trapping them and "relocating" them about 5 miles away on the opposite side of a busy highway. I tell you about the 5 miles, not because you care, although I am sure you must. No, you should always move squirrels as far away as you can, because the first time I trapped them and moved them down the street to a nice little park, the dang things returned within a few days.
I am no longer such a humane person and have invested in a nice pellet gun, which is actually an excellent deterrent to carpet-bagging rodents.
I am now, however, going to try webcams on the roof to see how that might work. Thanks for the advice...these forums are not only informational, but pretty dang friendly.

Once I hit a squirrel with my bike. It was scary because it keep moving even after i had killed it. It must have been his brain connecting to the rest of his body. The worst part was all of the blood on my wheel afterwards. I still visit the spot where i killed it. Hopefully one day I will see him in heaven. RIP.

That squirrel is really angry.
I once had a squirrel as a friend/pet. It all started one day when I was sitting in front of my house on the door steps. I was just relaxing enjoying the view while eating some Boston baked beans. This squirrel just happen to run by and me being silly I started making noises like the ones they do when fighting. It happened to stop, so I started throwing some of my Boston baked beans at him (which he loved by the way). Ever since then the squirrel was part of the fam and would even try to come in the house. My mom used to get freaked out and yell shoo at the poor lil guy

Hmmm looks to be in the wrong section for this post for one .. and second in that other thread of yours was already all the information you need about getting CWM on your phone .. there are already BOOST users here using Agats and other kernels available look at the Kernel repository sticky it has links to all available Kernels

Sorry dev forums are not for "development issues". They are for devs and modders and themers to post to their work. If you didn't make some thing then you shouldnt post in dev forums.

Because as has been said already .. it is not a different phone at all it is the EXACT same phone.. you are not required to run a kernel that is only fl22, Sprint Boost Virgin all SPH -D710 run the same kernels , that is what all the folks that replied have been trying to tell you . you can use any of the repacked kernels in the repo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662295
